I've been researching and watching videos about minecraft the last couple days, and after trying the demo, I've decided to purchase to the game.
I'm looking for some friendly/fun people to play with, as well as a server to play on. Preferably, I'd like to play with new-ish folks as well, but definitely won't be opposed to friendly vets. Based on the demo, I'd prefer to play survival mode. 30 y/o male, and I'm an admin of a ventrilo server that we could use for comms.

All right guys, I have a problem. You see, half a year ago I joined my first RP server, The Land of Olivin (otherwise know as The Land of Yalin). I faithfully stayed with this server for months, and got on daily. Eventually, i was one of the most well known players, as i helped out others and helped the newbies learn the ropes of RPing. Since then, this server has closed down, and for the past four months, i've been searching for another RP server. Sadly, nothing has cut it. Either the community isn't any good, or too much griefing is going on, or its too focused on who's the most powerful character (which is NOT what rping's about, by the way). Either way, i just cant seem to find another good RP server, and I'm about ready to give up. If anyone has been on a good server recently or heard of one, or hosts one, or any other sort of way, please tell me! I really miss the rping aspect of MC and its been a while since i've been able to get any good rping in. If you can help, please tell me.

Hello! I saw your post and I find it funny that everyone seems to be having issues with other servers having too many factions and personal regions.
I would really suggest checking out

It's a server I play on frequently with a close community of people and friends. We have towns, guilds, classes, quests, and multiple worlds to explore and play on.
Though we do have factions/personal regions, they're mostly in the spawn of the main world
Town factions, on the other hand, are scattered throughout the main world only AND are capped off at 29 and on a 3000 x 3000 map, there's more space than you'd know what to do with, despite the towns and cities!
We're also considered the #1 MMORPG Minecraft server in the world! By implementing quests that correspond with the lore of the server AND the classes, we've nearly redesigned the entire idea of "Minecraft", making a server that is sure to be like nothing you've ever experienced before!
