It was easy to make friends and fit in with the community. The past week has been a little quiet; people are busy with real life and new players are showing their true colors, and not all of it is good. If you have been on a few other servers then you know that there are periods with a lot of activity and some periods where only a few players are on. We are looking for more people who are actively trying to find a server out there they can rely on. I can tell you from my personal experience that this is it.Posted in: PC Servers -

MiningGeeks has both a CraftBukkit 1.7 and a freshly launched vanilla 1.8 server. We believe that everyone should be able to play Minecraft in a friendly, fun, and mature environment. Our goal is to build up a dedicated player base and make our server one of the best around. All ages are welcome so long as everyone has a decent level of maturity and shows respect and for other players and their property. The staff is approachable and quick to respond to any issues. The main server administrators are dedicated to making sure everything is running smoothly and finding ways to improve the MC experience.
Our 1.7 server has several different worlds: PvE, PVP, Creative Mode, Hell, the Nether, Mini Games, and monthly themed building events with sweet rewards for the top 3 winners.
Our 1.8 server was launched late October 2014 and is pure vanilla. You will set out into the sunset (or any direction, I am just going for dramatic effect here) with only your fists and iron will to protect you.

It doesn't look like CraftBukkit will be continuing in the future, but who knows.
THERE IS HOPE THOUGH! A new API is being developed under a Public Source license (so this can never happen again) which is called "ProjectSponge". This will most likely be how servers install plugins from now on.
It's set to release in November, but until then, we're stuck on Vanilla servers. -

But I got the app working, the bluetooth speaker fits right inside the head, and I'm all ready to go for tomorrow. A tap on the screen and it plays the noise they make when you stare at them, then it goes back to the idle sounds.Posted in: Discussion -

But here's the fun part. I'm downloading the Android dev environment right now. I'm going to stash a bluetooth speaker in the endermen head with me and link it up to my phone, and the phone will be taped to the box I'm carrying. I'm going to program an app that will cycle through the idle endermen noises and it'll turn the screen into one giant button. And when I tap the button, it'll swap to playing the aggro noise. So whenever some kid comes up to take candy...
Gonna be great.
Just gotta wait for the Android SDK to finish downloading and I can start. (I haven't written android apps in three years I have noooo idea what I'm doing anymore this is going to take all day) - To post a comment, please login.
