I guess you heard of the forum rules? No, neither did I, but i thought that Tarig wrote that he was busy updating it, i am also waiting with my huge skyscraper (litterly) to put his elevator in it. Have patience, i do too....;)
Just hope you continue develop in 1.7.10 most mods aren't in 1.8 yet even after 1 yr so we have to get mods in 1.7.10 still.
I'm just hoping they bring back the 8-bits computers, so that all my programs DON'T WORK anymore....... What is all that about supporting some version that is old and should be forgotten? I know what you try to point out, but it is the world upside down, we should be supporting the last version, it's inevitable and soon you run up against the same problem, over and over again. That's why OS's are progressing into the latest hardware and hardware manufacturers are topping every time their abilities, it's still Moore's law....
I was trying something out: You know Star Trek? I wanted to make a transportpad and i try to get this working on a pictureframe which as you know has 8 settings, to transport yourself to another transportpad which has also 8 settings all over your world. The hard part is getting the 'activate it now' option in it and it has to be only for the people who are standing in front of the selector which could be like 154-156 by 66 by 594-596 just to be sure that those spaces occupied by any person transports to the preset you select. Commandblocks don't work on pistons, so i need pistons to break or power a block. I'm still trying this. If you have any ideas about the positioning, that is very much appreciated. I do use Forge and redstonepaste mod on 1.8.8 because of the fine lines, but use the comparator and repeaters from standard, they operate a bit different than the redstonepaste version.
Hi there! I'm trying to use a command block as a teleporter on a vanilla multiplayer server, but for some reason I just cannot get it to work. I've been using "tp @p x y z" and "/tp @p x y z" and even tried @a and my username, but still nothing. :< It keeps saying "The entity UUID is in an invalid format" each time I try. I know where I'm teleporting to and it's not as if I'm teleporting into a wall, so I honestly don't know what to do to get it to work. If you could help, I would really really really appreciate it!
I don't know if you have the answer, but try this:
tp @a[r=5] ~ ~15 ~ this brings everything in a radius of 5, 15 blocks in the air. If you want to exclude yourself, use this:
tp @a[r=5,name=!sylveonne] ~ ~15 ~Don't forget the exclamation mark (!) in front of your name, otherwise.... you'll go up too.
Experiment on this...
EDIT: I just went on trying, but if you issue a TP command and you are too far from the commandblock, as outside it's radius, you\ll get that error, because it could not find anything to transport
I hope i don't get whipped on my head for being a "dinosaur digger" but it came to me after a thorough search and could not find a particular answer. When a commandblock issues by automated clock a full spread (all people) gamemode command, is there a way to exclude users like it is possible with tp @a [r=5,name=!Mr_Killer] ~ ~15 ~ which brings everything within a radius of 5, 15 blocks in the air.
I have the same problem, although i did not read the error, but still the server generates an error and holds in startup-mode if you try to connect to it... This is so far i have tried and used.

Even with an older version of Forge (1436) it does not work and generates an error report. See below...
So, i gave up, because we may not ask the makers to do something about that (forum rules) and everybody is pointing to dino-MC (i mean the versions below 1.8.8) and it is a struggle to fight against people who think i am doing it the wrong way, whilst i try to keep my servers as vanilla as possible with minor mods.
So, there you have it.

[10:02:04] [Server thread/INFO]: Stopping the server
Ps. I run all my minecraft servers on Intel i5 with 8 GB memory and Windows Server 2012 on a 64 bit architecture and use also the 64 bit version of java, so it is not that my pc could generate because i tried and tried really hard to make this on serverside to work. Pps, the server is yawning most of the time, so he does not have a hard time.
Mostly crashes are a MOD problem, so sending it to the maker is waiting for grass to grow, mostly. You might want to update to 1.8 and look foreward, 1.7.10 is ages ago (figurely speaking), Minecraft is now up and running almost at version 1.9, so what are you still doing in the dark ages? And then i don't understamd why people start to buzz me off when i say that, Mojangg explicitly say on it's website that it is very wise to update... So, i am reading it wrong or.... Fill that one in yourself.
I guess a lot of people broke forum rules in asking for the maker to update? Well, i do not, i only want to know why it does not work on forge servers 1.8.8.... Is everybody playing single player and not making their own nice world? Am i really the only one who sees the benefit of server supported gaming?
Ps. everybody who asks for 1.7.10, those dinosaur files are there. you didn't look hard enough, and for those who think 1.8 is not there, they are also mistaken, i just ran it on MC 1.8.7 only server support is crashing unfortunately.
Really? You can't see the instructions about Intel graphics (and AMD for that matter) in the OP?
From the first paragraph:
Also, about 1/2 way through, it says it again.
The links are buggered, because Intel removed them. I suppose, it could be updated..
Bottom line:
Intel 2nd gen -- all new 4XXX drivers are fine.
Intel 3rd gen -- all new 4XXX drivers are fine.
Intel 4th gen -- all 39XX-4080 drivers are fine, but 41XX-42XX drivers cause crashes.
AMD -- 14.9 is working fine, but 14.12 causes some issues, and 15.7 causes massive issues.
nVidia -- all new drivers are just fine, no issues reported.
Sooo.....
Why are you arguing? People download the mod from the OP post, where the instructions are clearly outlined, but they don't bother to read them.
It is frustrating for us (Grimall and myself and a few others) to repeat it over and over again. Plus, the information I just talked about above (and the users crashlog) are basically repeated on every page -- or at least every other page.
You don't need to get your fur all up. We don't know you, and you don't know Grimall or myself. You don't know our background. You don't know how old we are. But, I can say that we almost hands down know this mod much better than you do, aside from Karyonix himself responding.
Bla bla bla, it started as someone being rude to another person. Not that i don't know that the Intel hd series are bad in displaying 3D, come on man, then you did not read my comment, about years of work behind me in computers, networks and servers, heck! i still have that knowledge. pile of books laying around, and already startin on windows server 2016. So, my message to everybody, if you want to use shaders, you'll have to get a fast graphical card. Without it you can only play MC very very vanilla. Hows that?
And frankly, i can't make a mod like you guys do, but it had been handed to me that tha Rulez are to be respected, and that goes also between peeps who do not know each other.
I really understand that it is a burden for you guys to repeat such important information, but hey, you guys make mods right? isn't there anyone who can make a sign that keeps floating on the left or rightside of the forumpage and when you hover your mouse above it, it shows what you keep telling people. I find it hard to believe that such important message should be static, and i hope someone can add a mod(sorry, lost the right name for it) to this websites forum holding vital info. (Commercials can do it, why do you(generally) not start using that technique?) it's just a thought...
Minecraft is an incredibly messy game, to say the least. Shaders are very finicky and demanding. You really can spend the 2 min it takes to at least read the description, if you want to use them.
I do agree on that, but really? it takes more than 2 minutes to read if you find what you want to read or need to know, and then, there are so much people making mods, textures and all the other things, it's being used by others who stick their name on it and all of a sudden it is not about what, but who, and who is telling the truth.... So, unless there is a place on the internet that gives vital information without trying something heresay, finding the truth is a story on its own. Look at where MC is at this point, almost at 1.9, but is the comunity there? heck no! They still live in the darkage 1.7 era. Some are up to 1.8 and other not even bother doing that, because they say it is not worth. So, who should you say i follow? Mojang? or a unknown sorce who posts a lot on some forum? You'll have to agree that this is the world upside down. But to get to the point where i argued with you, on my pc, shaders are working really nice because i am lucky in buying a nvidia gfx 970 a few months ago, so, i try to be nice to you too. and if you want me to really read that instruction, you'll have to point it here, because there is so much info, it blinds me...
Now i stop.... (you'll probably had enough of me )
And what I mean is that Intel drivers are just horrible. Utterly horrible when it comes to OpenGL support. Only specific driver versions, listed in the first post (which apparently both you and him didn't bother reading) are confirmed to work without not -so-random crashes (caused by Intel's bugs). Like the one he experienced.
Again: The note about Intel graphics is repeated twice in first post for a reason!
Still, you could say that nice to him, and i am not born yesterday, i probably was busy with computers when you were in the pipeline or before, so do not patronize me about knowledge of computers, i just told exactly what he needed to know without digging too deep in the matter (he might not be a nerd like you and me)
So, thanks for your concern.
Ps. when it comes to programming, the software always outdate the hardware, it goes for years so and will be pushing the outside of the envelope in the future. When you buy the newest of the newest, by the time you turn it on there is a desk somewhere in the world who planned for bigger, faster, and more beautiful. That's the way it shall be... oh, and you are right about not reading, in the first place i do not want to spend a day reading, and i do have years of training behind me and know a lot about hardware that still applies like i said. Or do you disagree, no never mind, don't answer that. You are right all along !
What the guy meant was that the onboard intel HD graphics are perfect for 2-dimensional display, movies, textwriting and normal, simple use. When it comes to shaders the code in the software asks the graphical card to start doing what it is made for, and that is a whole lot more than 2D. Suffice to say is get a better videocard and not the cheapest, something like my Nvidia GFX 970, that is what i'm talking about, beefy! as Mojang puts it in words, and they only meant for single player with huge, huge mountains and abysses. Good luck.
Nice that you noticed, aparently it is needed but still does not work. I hope that someone who has a running server and at best forge on 1.8.7 (hey, it is the latest, so do not argue about version numbers, this was the last i could find and updated it, so, sorry if i mix numbers) is watching and able to tell what he did, or she...
I think using it on a server (forge-1.8-11.14.3.1450-universal) with ([1.8] SecurityCraft v1.7.4.1) and (redstonepaste-mc1.8-1.7.1) makes the server generate an error, removing security craft and redstonpaste mod generated also an error. I shall put them here as told in spoiler, seperated, and i hope this mod will be improved, and maybe useable by the next release of MC 1.9.

I hope you will find a problem and hope to point me in the right direction.
I am a bit puzzled here, maybe someone can help me? Is there a mod for usefull villagers, or not? If so, does anyone know where the link is, because there is so much info that i might have overlooked.

I was trying something out: You know Star Trek?

Is that also possible???

I have the same problem, although i did not read the error, but still the server generates an error and holds in startup-mode if you try to connect to it... This is so far i have tried and used.

Even with an older version of Forge (1436) it does not work and generates an error report. See below...
So, i gave up, because we may not ask the makers to do something about that (forum rules) and everybody is pointing to dino-MC (i mean the versions below 1.8.8) and it is a struggle to fight against people who think i am doing it the wrong way, whilst i try to keep my servers as vanilla as possible with minor mods.
So, there you have it.
0
Mostly crashes are a MOD problem, so sending it to the maker is waiting for grass to grow, mostly. You might want to update to 1.8 and look foreward, 1.7.10 is ages ago (figurely speaking), Minecraft is now up and running almost at version 1.9, so what are you still doing in the dark ages? And then i don't understamd why people start to buzz me off when i say that, Mojangg explicitly say on it's website that it is very wise to update... So, i am reading it wrong or.... Fill that one in yourself.
0
I guess a lot of people broke forum rules in asking for the maker to update? Well, i do not, i only want to know why it does not work on forge servers 1.8.8.... Is everybody playing single player and not making their own nice world? Am i really the only one who sees the benefit of server supported gaming?
Ps. everybody who asks for 1.7.10, those dinosaur files are there. you didn't look hard enough, and for those who think 1.8 is not there, they are also mistaken, i just ran it on MC 1.8.7 only server support is crashing unfortunately.

0
(you'll probably had enough of me
)
0

Good luck.
0

Thanks

I am a bit puzzled here, maybe someone can help me? Is there a mod for usefull villagers, or not? If so, does anyone know where the link is, because there is so much info that i might have overlooked.
Thanks to anyone who has the answer.
