I'm again puzzled.... Finally i get to marry this girl i met, well, what is it that i want, a child, offspring.... You already have a baby... 'Is she referring to herself???' because i cleaned my inventory, no baby, checked hers, no baby, what, is it still in the pipeline???? or am i yapping???
Does anybody know where the line in the programming is where every villager you ask to follow you, annoyingly in front of you keeps stepping on your toe's and get hit in the process..... Please, delete that line.............
Something strange happened, i got into some testing and went in survivor mode as long as i could, hard? yes, fun? YES! but that's no problem, the weird thing is that i digged around long enough to get me some gold ore and smelted it into usable payment and found eventually a miner who was picking his nose and i offered him my iron pickaxe and three gold bars to work for me. It was hard the first time, a zombie or so killed him, but in time i found his digging-remains and do it all over again. This time i made sure no mobs could get in whilst he eh she was digging for gold. I went on a search trip and i found myself outside the loadable chunks but eventually found my way back to where i left the female miner. When i came closer, i saw that she kept telling me that there was no more gold ore in the vicinity, so i would like to tap her on the shoulder and ask to follow me. I could not find her, i tried to scavenge the darkness and the dangers to find this lady but all i found were ground dwellers and a bat or two. Whish i had the possibility to yell at her and tell to come and show her face. No good. I went in gamemode 3 and looked everywhere in a wide circle and found nothing. So, the message kept coming, but a little lava does more then lighting up the place. Eventually she was invisible (didn't know miners could disguise themselves so good in the dark.) i did not here her scream in the lava, and that's it..... no fun this girl. (she was not interested in me anyway)
So is this a recurring problem or a single event that went haywire?
I downloaded a new version and made a new world but it keeps on closing and said "Java closed unexpectedly your computer does not have enough memory" How do I get more Memory?
I'm not sure if someone answered your question, but i'll try.... Memory is a hardware problem. If you want to know that Minecraft runs rather smooth on my laptop, it has 4 Gb work memory and 500 Mb video memory. All together steered with a Intel i3 processor, nothing fancy, but it works like a charm.
Maybe a donation of your family will get you the money to buy a faster computer.
Edit: I really need to take more time to read all the posts carefully.... sorry guys...
Ok, now i've tested it long and hard, Minecraft 1.8.7 Forge and JurassiCraft 2.0 with and without llibrary-0.4.1-1.8.jar. It runs, but still keeps crashing while the server sits and waits. I think there is need for some testing before it runs without crashes.
Ps. I can recommend when using it on a serverside to build a new world from scratch.
Yes, i know the whole world is still on 1.7, but come on, PROGRESS!!!!!!
And for those who want to setup a server, if you have no idea, please start reading into the base of setting up hardware for a server and OS and on that you install Minecraft server. So i did this: I bought an upgrade package Intel i 5 with 8 GB memory and an ssd disk. Installed Windows 2012 server on it and went from there to hosting various server related software fluently. (Plex, Unreal tournament 2K4, Unreal Tournament 2014, Minecraft 1.8.8 with already a big built world, Minecraft 1.8.7 with MCA (Minecraft comes alive) and now i'm trying to make a server for 1.8 with JurassiCraft.) So, most of the time my server (W2012) is really doing nothing. If you install it on your own pc from where you work, your world could get corrupted over time (updates, power off etc) and your pc is busy doing twice the work a simple server would not turn his hand for. Lag, recourses that needs to be active and takes processor power away, power you really can use.
Even if you think that your "fast" computer can do it on it's own, remember, computers do things serially. so player, server, other processes, they all eat your power away, that's why i recommend a real server software based hardware solution. Have fun like i do!
A marking system would be cool, for players and animals/hostile creatures.
all it would do is put a triangle on the creature
Green - Friendly Creature
Red - Hostile
Yellow -neutral
Purple or White - Players
With marking you would be able to know if they're behind a wall or something, as well as a option to turn and turn off marking.
and a Thermal mode would be cool too.
And an option so i can use it on later versions than 1.7.10
yea it kinda dose if you use most of them in one way like for instanse makeing faves to the items you want it shows it but sadly also YOU CAN USE MULTIPLAYER TO FIND OUT THIS MOD USES THE /GIVE COMMAND im not saying its bad because of it its fine....but....its still cool to see that
Is it me or are you a bad spellbee? or in a hurry, or did you type it on your smartphone while riding a bike through rough landscape? Because it is often imperative that you translate your question so that everybody knows what you are talking about, hence the idea that it can be solved if all info is correct. I'm not mad or something like that, i just wondered....
I would try to delete everything about minecraft folders, it's seen in c:\program files or the (x86) folder and the username's (that might be you) personal %Appdata%/Roaming/.Minecraft folder. You might want to move your mod-, resources- and savefolders first if you have interesting stuff there, so you can add one at a time and see where it goes.
Now take the steps towards update Java, I on the other hand had a server running and at some point i got weird things, that was over when i matched the java version on pc to the same version on my server. Doesn't have to be a problem though, I also run 1.8.8 with 9 mods in it. So enough of me, download from Mincraft.net the game, do that just to be sure nothing in present file could be corrupted, go to Forge and use the installer and let it install in both programfiles and %Appdata% folder. If it gives an error in not finding an proper minecraft installation, do not care about that, just force it down his throat once. Start the game with Forge ofcourse and see if it runs clean without your previous folders you moved. If all is ok, start by adding one by one the mods, resources and try it in a new game. When all mods and other stuff you temporarily moved are back in it's place and no error has occurred, then i would try the savegame you put aside.Nothing more? If it still runs, i think there was a corruption or a struggle between rights and wrongs that your computer had, might be the Java, version, or the order of loading MOD's, because the OS might think to pick first in-first out order or alphabetically, who knows what OS's do these days.
Hope you can find the souce of your problem, or that after these steps the problem is gone. Good luck and let us know...
Oh, i almost forgot, the profile, take care of that one too. If you have no idea what you do or how it should be done, contact us and we will think along with you. Good luck.
Edit: Unfortunately i did not go to the last page, so don't mind me.....it's still early in the morning......
Have you tried pressing the "o" button to unhide TMI?
Thanks for NOT telling me, so i wil publically say it for you: I AM AN IDIOT.... that said, it worked, but only after i turned it on and then pressed the 'o' key. Stupid of me, because i went by every usable key on my keyboard but obviously that did not work. Your solution, i do not know where you got the info, but RTFM is not my strong point when playing games.
I just hope the two of you can make the better mod out of this, because talent and talent and vision are working well together. Wish i could program like you guys, i would not stop until my fingers bleed I hope that your Spider Queen, now that i notice, is soon for the latest version, because it really gives quit a different look at Minecraft, worth to find out... Keep going guys, don't let anyone stop you!
Hi everybody, i used TooManyItems2015_02_14_1.8_Forge.jar on my 1.8.8 installation, and it worked like a charm. Then i tried to switch my copy back to the dark-ages (version 1.7.10) and again did not get the version working. So then i had to remove EVERYTHING from minecraft, download it again, download and install Forge and put the mods back where they belong. Suddenly when i press the 'E' button, nothing happens, so, before i start disassemble my working version, does anyone can explain or tell how to fix this. It's not that i need it urgently, it's just the fact that it loads ingame and does nothing.
Hope someone can tell me i am an idiot (as usual) and that i should or shouldn't do this that and there....
Heyo! The last couple day's I've been tinkering with MCA's source code.
Here is the (buggy) result:
I utilized the existing AIBuild code to create a "Build" task for villagers when you hire them.
My "real" goal if you want to go about it is not to create a "Build Menu" but to replicate some of the functionality of Millenaire by which villagers can expand the village with little to no intervention. The code I have now is a far cry from that end result, but I can dream...
There's several issues with AIBuild in that it has no respect for partially submerged schematics, two part blocks like doors and beds, blocks with direction, block subtypes, and torches mounted on a wall drop a pile of torches each instead of the intended behavior. In MCA it really only manifests itself as sideways gates when a villager builds a mine. I'm not 100 percent sure if schematic files even store all of the intended information so something custom may be needed.
If myself or another were to adapt the code to try to replicate Millenaire there's also the issue of keeping precise track of buildings so they can be upgraded. Don't expect all that work from me because I probably won't or be able to get around to it.
If you watch the video you'll notice that most of the buildings are ripped from a vanilla village.
Annnnnnnnd that's all I have to say on the topic right now. I don't really have a point at the moment other than "hey look at this neat thing!" See ya round.
Edit: Another video for you. See what happens when you bury a villager and have them build a well.
I also added a button for the schematic included with MCA to build the "destiny village." I think it's too big for his mind to handle.
I must say i am stunned by this, marvelous, can you also let them learn to build self made schematics? I made quite a few buildings i now must copy and past with MCEDIT , but that is often harder then easy (structures half over other structures, or burried in a mountain, or takes too much air around it. or even leave trees half embedded in the structure) It would be nice if you order a worker to start building something you made yourself, and have a undo possibility, if you per accident let him build something in a redstone construction which then would not function anymore, tell him to restore and then let him build again but then a bit farther away? That would be so awesome.....
edit: Maybe a toolbox would benefit his building skills and speed, i think several tools are too complicated.
Does anyone know how to see with which person you are married to? I do a lot of try-outs and make different scenarios to test my minecraft-ability, and i was just starting a savegame, single player, and i can't tell without whistle-use where or who my spouse is. Maybe an addition to the inventory? or where you can dress-up? (i mean put armor on!)
