Fun... though i do not want to make things more complicated than they already are, i think that i stick with Forge, lots of updates, so must be the better..

Wow, thanks for this elaborate explaining, seriously, i am not a month into this game, and managed to have running 5 servers at once but now i think i can focus all my efforts on Forge. The explaination you gave is very clear, as from now it clears some things i was not aware of and struggled about it, for instance, why are there so much mods and plugins that work stand-alone or single player only and not on a server, now i know. I can say with clear mind that i stick to Forge in the future, yes, they do update a lot, and i have to update client and sever at once, but, it is still worth!

    Thanks man....

There are a few modified versions of minecraft, stating they are the best. When i google about the difference of MC, Forge, Craft Bukkit and Curse, i get a post on Reddit.com.

Now i read on reddit that craft bukkit is slowly dying.... who can confirm that it's true? Because when this is true, i do not want to spend much energy on this server and step back to Forge, copying my world over there,,,,

Also i think this is related to MC but not supposed to be a problem, so i think i'm ok...But you can have a say.

Is there anyone who wants to share his/her opinion about the likelyhood of future-crafting??

A pity it does not work, the downloadlink and adding it to a server. Am i the only one who sees the benefit of playing on a server ? I wish those mod makers make more effort in server mods and less in single player, it's so lame..... (not cool)

How about some info on this mod installing it on later versions of Forge and ofcourse Craft Bukkit. I keep changing servers for different versions of mods and keep building the world over and over again, i grow tired of that lack of compatibility. The mod seems very nice, but only single player i get to work, please help us out?

Dear Mitchell, as i said, they don't work. Tell me, are you affiliated in any way to Minecraft, or is it your itching that made you comment on my topic? I guess that when i stated out that those things did NOT work, it would be a suggestion to implement a mod or two so that people can benefit from the advantages. But since you are so eager to tell me that it works, come on then, tell me EXACTLY what i should do to get something as simple like a Iron Golem to work. Even the factory from youtube to reproduce Golems had added villagers in a square box to breed, on the youtube movie they spontaniously multiplied, but when i did EXACTLY the same on my server, no villagers are on this planet, two of them in a box would suffice,.... NOTHING, not even after a few days. So, i have Vanilla, you tell me why this did not work for me.

PS. it is me that i could not get things work nice so that the ""vanilla"" version works like mine, and most of all i found it through the wiki, and as far as i know a wiki is for the original game unless told otherwise!

PPS. Like you said "If minecraft is gonna add all these mods than it wouln't make any more sense to play the game.." why make them then and send people on the wrong path... Personally i think that is for the makers of Minecraft to decide!

posted a message on Future of Minecraft and good mod's and textures

Hi developpers and fans of Minecraft, i was just wondering about the future of minecraft, everytime i see a video of things i like to build or explore, i stumble upon problems. Like the iron golem, never got that to work, and a working bookcase, all said that in vanilla it would work. No, it does not. I made a big castle on my server and want to make adjustments to it, inside. The problem is that i can't get anything working with Forge, and on top of that subsequentially a lot of mods only work that way.

Now my question is simple, i paid money for this game, well spend, (because i'm an addict to it(became overnight)), and i was thinking, why doesn't the team of people who develope Minecraft add some mods that they think are good, in future versions. So that if anyone makes a mod, he or she becomes a little bit famous bij adding their name to the creditslist on the mod used. The advantage is that people don't have to bother if a mod is available, or even works on their version of Minecraft, and that support goes to the maker of the mod. Now i know that there are disadvantages about people you never see, and add contribution to the game, but i think that a simple screening and a special section on this forum maybe, about that added mod or texture, is a possible solution. So the maker of the mod keeps track of all problems, answers them and can contact the Minecraft team about problems that occur.

I do really hope you (Makers of Minecraft) overthink the advantages more that the disadvantages, i know that playing Minecraft will become more and more fun along this path. I do have some other suggestions, but later i'll come back for them in another thread, because there is so much potential in this game, thank you for making it, and i am sorry that i am too stupid to get it working like i said...

    Mr. Killer
