He has confirmed MUCH more than what is in OP...
Larger height limit
Bigger Biomes
New lighting, no effect to performance
Endermen DO place and pickup blocks
New log in screen
Cobwebs are randomly generated in caves
Randomly generated MINESHAFTS
Bigger, better randomly generated dungeons
Spawn is most likely in/near a randomly generated village
Blood spurts out of killed creatures
New Bow attack animation
New eating mechanic
Sprint
No Seed influenced generation anymore
Anti-aliasing
The 1.8 update will possibly be split up into multiple parts, with most of the main features coming in a 1.8 patch and the little details and other features in a smaller patch like 1.8.2
And thats all I can remember at the moment...
Height limit isn't changing because he said it will take up more ram. The ram for multiplayer hosting will be unbelievable. too much problems to do this.
Notch:
Implications behind changing height:
- Memory Implications: Due to the way chunks are architected internally, the only relatively-easy way of increasing level height is to double it. As a result, memory usage can spiral out of control very quickly when increasing the number of bits available to the Y axis. A somewhat short-sighted view would be to point out that this is wholly manageable in SSP, but pragmatically, SMP is already a hornet’s nest when it comes to RAM usage, and the only way to increase the level height would be to neatly double the memory footprint. Ouch! -

All I'm going to say is "dye"

Thanks for clearing that up. I was unaware of the problem with Forge at the moment

Try install only Forge and My mod. Then add mods one by one and launching it every time you add a mod.

Try updating Forge and Optifine to the latest version. If doesn't work, try remove the shaders mod or updating it.

Do you have 3D Blocks Mod installed?

Unfortunately in the version you are using, it does not include the API Update. The API Update allows you to add new items to MineBay and custom recipes for the Oven, Freezer and Printer. Luckily soon though I will be backporting the API update to 1.6.4

You can use the RecipeAPI in the config to add in your own custom recipe for the oven! I have a tutorial on how to use it here:

Unfortunately identifiers for items and blocks aren't always equal to the name in game. An empty map is actually just minecraft:map. I suggest you check out this list which tells you the identifiers. http://minecraft-ids.grahamedgecombe.com/

I will see if I can do it myself. I'll let you know if it works.
Edit: So I managed to get just the normal backpack working by using betterstorage:backpack as the input-item. I will investigate further into trying to get the enderbackpack working.

Is there an error when you load up the game? It should be something like "RecipeAPI Error: blah blah"

If you download the new API Update, it fixes the problem.

The new API update will allow this. It was actually suppose to be published last Saturday but I reports of bugs so it was delayed.

I have a thread with only images. I'm sorry that you cannot see them. I suggest you refresh the page and/or clear your cache.
The reason why its images only is because I got annoyed of the text editor on Mincraft Forums. It use to ruin hours of work I put into creating a fancy post. Using images only, I can update them at the remote location without touching anything to do with the text editor.

I'm planning to do a complete rewrite of the mod. I feel like I could code it one hundred times better now.
