    posted a message on Moving blocks within a certain radius?

    Sorry for not clarifying my question- I mean teleporting the blocks. I have used Archimedes Ships before, and I was greatly impressed by that mod, but I want to allow players to move massive amounts of blocks. (I am creating something that has to do with transportation)

    Thank You for responding!

    posted a message on Moving blocks within a certain radius?

    Hello!

    I was wondering, how would I move all blocks within a certain radius of x block's coordinates a certain distance?(In the least lag-intensive way).

    Any tips on this would be great!

    Thank You,

    Star Trek Font

    Coming to Version 0.3.4 of the Star Trek mod is a variety of updates. Some of the big ones include:

    • Starfleet Construction Table- Starfleet Construction Tables will be able to be used in future updates for crafting advanced blocks and items, such as circuitboards, warp cores, etc.
    • Phaser Rifles- Phaser Rifles are a more powerful alternative to the traditional Type-2 Phaser. Phaser Rifles also come with a new setting- explode, that allows you to wreak havoc on your Minecraft world.

    The full change log can be viewed below:

    • Added Starfleet Construction table block
    • Added recipes to the Starfleet Construction table block
    • Decreased the amount of recipes available in the Minecraft crafting table
    • Fixed bug in the en_us.lang file
    • Added Phaser Rifle item
    • Added Phaser Rifle Model
    • Added Explosion Cartridge
    • Added Explosion Phaser Bolt
    • Add item texture to the Transporter Console
    • Added Starfleet Construction Table item texture

    That's it for Version 0.3.4! We are now starting work on Warp Cores, so expect those in the next update!

    (All Beta Testers will be sent a PM with the new link to the mod).

    Version 0.3.3 - Transporters

    Version 0.3.3 is out, which just about completes transporters. This version of the mod is now stable, and your game will not crash if you enter an incorrect command. Some new things in this version include:

    • Transporter Biofilters- Without biofilters, you have a risk of becoming infected with a potentially lethal disease during a transport.
    • Transporter Scanners- Transporter scanners allow you to transport players to the surface of a planet from a high(or low) altitude.

    We've also started to add reinforced ship hull blocks to the game. These will be fully implemented in later versions.

    That's it for this update. 0.4 will introduce Warp Cores to the mod, and our team is currently working on some smaller additions to the mod before we start working on Warp Cores.

    Stay Tuned!

    posted a message on Monitor Block?

    Hello!

    I've recently been working on adding a teleporter block to my mod. This feature of my mod is almost complete- but I want to add a block like a computer monitor that shows you the current status of the teleporter, such as when it is teleporting someone. Blocks like these can be seen in the Galacticraft Mod. I could probably figure this out on my own, except I have no idea how to create animated block textures. I'm also wondering how to get the skin of a player and display it on a block's texture(so that when a player is being teleported, you can see which player on the display screen).

    Thank You!

    posted a message on Saving data in class?

    Hello!

    I currently am trying to make a system in my mod where when you activate a command for one block in mod, it searches for a block with a certain "id"- (tile entity variable). However, this system is somewhat inefficient, as searching for a block with a certain tile entity variable is somewhat lag intensive on my game. So I was wondering... how would I store the coordinates of the block I'm looking for along with it's "id", and then when I need to get the id, I can just access the class where the block coordinates and id are stored and get the coordinates of the block attached to the id, and then do whatever I ned to do with the instance of that block.

    Thank You!

    When I was learning how to compile my mod for Mac, I watched this tutorial by Shaqaruden. You could also check out by MrCrayfish- it's for Windows, but maybe it'll help.

    posted a message on Getting a Tile Entity value?

    Unfortunately, this still doesn't work. Below is my updated Tile Entity Class.

    I'm confused why this still doesn't work, as I haven't had any problems with saving NBT Data before...

    I call the setId() Method I created in my InterlockHandler class:

    String command = message.text.toString();
    String[] finalcommand = command.split(" ");
    String id = finalcommand[0];
    tinterlock.setId(id);

    Thank you for your help!

    By implementing packets, it now sets the id of the transporter interlock block, but still doesn't remember the id of the transporter interlock block after you quit the world and reopen it, even though I am using NBT.

    Yes- in line 131 of the GuiTransportInterlock class I set the id to be a string specified by the player.

    posted a message on Getting a Tile Entity value?

    Hello!

    I'm currently working on making a block(Transporter Console) that, when a button is pressed in its GUI, searches for another block(Transporter Interlock), within a hundred and 20 blocks with a certain tile entity string variable attached to it, called id. I haven't had problems getting variables from Tile Entities before, but I currently get a null when I try to get the id variable of a Transporter Interlock block. My source code can be viewed below:

    Thank You so much for the help!

    Beta testers did not receive this update because it is not yet stable. I loved your Phaser Rifle model though, and I plan on implementing it in version 0.3.3 or 0.3.4

    Version 0.3.2 - Transporters

    The Transporter update is completed! Transporters are now functional, but are not yet fully functional. 0.2.4 and 0.2.5 will fully implement Transporters into the mod. other notable updates to the mod include decorative blocks and consoles. Standard Issue Starfleet Decorative blocks are great for the interior of your starships, and come in a variety of colors. The Transporter Console has also been added to the mod. In future updates, consoles will be able to control various parts of the ship- from life support, to missiles, consoles will eventually become an essential part of every starship. That's it for this update- stay tuned for Version 0.3.3 and 0.3.4 After completing work on transporters, our dev team will begin work on warp cores.

    Live long and prosper,

    Hello SciFi101! Do you have any knowledge of Java programming for MC Modding? I would highly suggest programming with Java instead of MCreator, as you will eventually find that MCreator cannot do everything you need it to do. I would be happy to point you towards some tutorials if you are interested in programming Minecraft Mods with Java.

    Thank You!
