I used all those settings and the issue was that I wasn't using Force CPU processing. Thank you so much!

MrSheep, I have tried recording with Fraps (demo, anyway), along with almost every other recording software I can think of.No changes.
I just found an old 128 gb internal HDD of mine in my garage, I believe it is 7200 RPM. Before I go and *try* to install it, would recording to it provide any change? I have already tried recording to a USB 3.0 1 TB 7200 rpm external hdd, and my fps did not go up.

Huh, that's too bad you didn't see a difference. I would definitely try out the HDD, if it is 7200rpm it could really help you out. :)

Can you please tell us about your computer specs, and what settings you use, your the only person I know who has been able to get FPS this high, you could really help us out a lot! Thanks. :)

posted a message on Is 1.8 Lagging for you? POLL - Let's settle this issue!
One thing I noticed, having Alternate Blocks on gave me 20-30fps with render of 6, fast graphics and clouds off. But as soon as I turned it off I got 50-60fps with fancy and clouds on. So my suggestion for those with bad frames is to make sure to turn alternate blocks off, if you haven't already.

Huh, I was testing out 32 render distance, and I was getting really bad lag (I have a pretty good pc), I'll try that out, I thought it would be really neat to play amplified with 32 render distance, very cinematic. :P

You can record with OBS for free, as well as livestream which it is mainly used for, I haven't tried its recording functionality but it's a solid piece of software and... it's free! :)

DXtory is garbage at recording Minecraft. I have a really nice computer (http://pcpartpicker.com/user/austinchicken/saved/YZPQzy) and I can only get about 40fps (I need 60fps for my recordings, mainly for editing) Fraps works well for me, although I'd rather use DXtory, I just record my audio separately in Audacity and get 60fps no problem.

Thanks sheep. How do you creat an easy video thumbnail? also what about adding text and intro. what videos are most popular? I just do command blocks and adventure maps right now, is that good? please make it nooby because I'm kind of nooby. thanks sheep :D

For me, I make my thumbnails by taking an ingame screenshot (just hit F2 in MInecraft to take a screenshot, and find it in the .minecraft folder) and then overlay text for the series name and maybe even a .png image I've grabbed off Google or of my Minecraft skin or something (I do that in Photoshop, let me know if you need more details).

Videos usually get popular if people are confused and want a question answered, find your video in search results and think the thumbnail and video title are very relevant and attractive. Generally, just because of the nature of such videos, tutorials and how-tos get popular. If you want to know what people search for a lot, go to YouTube and click into the search bar, when you type a word it will show suggested sentences to complete the search, you know what I'm talking about. For instance if you type in "how to" the first result is "how to tie a tie" meaning lots of people don't know how to do that and search for it. Other videos that generally get views if you want a lot of views are mod reviews and mod type stuff (that's what I hear a lot, but I can't speak from experience because I haven't played with mods ever really except Pixelmon).

As far as what you're recording and uploading right now, they're fine, everybody can improve of course. Do what you want, someday you'll want to do something else, do that! Do what you enjoy. :)

wierd. Deput works perfectly! can I have some nooby tips? Here's my channel, I know it's pretty bad since im new to this, but based off the fact that it's new is it good? here's the channel > https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNRcp3lu6T-fXb4kp8bSySQ please excuse my bit of high voice, My voice is just not naturally low :P thanks guys!

Cool commands episode, try to record just the game, and not the entire screen (taskbar etc.) to improve video quality, you can most likely do this in post-processing if you have a decent editor as well.

Mr. Sheep Co, King9King, break up the fight, you're getting way sidetracked from the more important thing here which is the answer to the question that was asked.

I'm not popular in any way shape or form on Youtube, with a "whopping" 21 subscribers, but I do it for fun, not really caring much how many subscribers I have. I just want to make videos for the fun of it, not to become the next BebopVox or SkyDoesMinecraft.

Fame and glory and crud like that might be a nice side-effect, but I just want to make videos for the fun of it, that a few people will watch and enjoy.

    Agreed. :)
