Yea, unfortunately bukkit does not play nice with command blocks, which is what Adversity runs on. You will need to run it on a vanilla server

posted a message on Zelda-like Objective Rooms for Map Makers(13w04a)

A simple proof-of-concept where I use the new scoreboard feature and command blocks to create an objective based room, similar to the kind you see in Zelda games.

In the video, I show a room where you must defeat 5 enemies to proceed. Using the same mechanics, you can have a boss fight that locks you in the room until the boss is defeated. You can also do things like "multiple transformations" where a "single" mob becomes something else every time you beat it. You can also do puzzles and other things using the same mechanics to track and remember player progress.

posted a message on Fully Automatic Chicken Cooker (13w03a Snapshot)

I made a nice and compact automatic chicken cooker. It's all explained in the video and you can also see the world file, but here's the gist:

-Chickens at the top lay eggs that are collected by a hopper into a dispenser
-These eggs are eventually fired all at once so that baby chicks sit in front of another dispenser that has lava in it
-Hoppers are used as timers (Ethos' design) and once 20 minutes are up, lava is dispensed to cook the chicken
-The timer is also hooked up to the first dispenser so that it doesn't fire new eggs until the current chickens are cooked
-All cooked food items are collected by hoppers

There are a few tips and tricks that makes it all work smoothly and they're explained in the video. Best of all, this creation is lag and frame-drop free! Hope you all like it!

I'm having the same problem with my server.

Quick question, did you generate a new map using the snapshot or did you upgrade an existing map to run with the snapshot?

Hey guys sorry, looks like the video I wanted to get up this week won't happen as my computer crapped out.

Still super busy with life and stuff T_T so sadly I won't be able to meet the projected release date of this weekend. I'll keep slaving away at it though! I owe it to everyone to get HBC out and to make sure that it's still the gameplay experience that I promised.

I'll have an update this weekend...probably?

    Approved

But in future please don't place gates on top of each other without some kind of support (e.g. fences next to them) and you only need 1 gate to stop someone from passing on.

Thanks for keeping up with the inspections and stuff Comphead! Just had Canadian Thanksgiving yesterday so I'm catching up on some work work (have to pay the bills somehow :S) first before I can jump back in fully.

I'm just reposting this incase it's been missed. Let me know if anyone is up for it. I've done another couple of bits to it but thought it would be cool if more people helped out and expanded this street. :smile.gif:

If not, I'll be continuing it anyway.

    --------------------------------------

I've created a skeleton for the High Street (shops on ground floor, apartments on top) idea. I'm not sure whether anyone wants to build in a space and create their own shop in it, or I'll flesh them all out myself. (If i'm allowed ^__^)

    Let me know.

Here's the link to the world I'm building it in.

    http://www.mediafire.com/?iy9x35t2rh8z4qu

    Feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Notes: I'd prefer if you would keep all the windows and doors in the same place so it stays symmetrical from the outside.

    Thanks.

Looks cool! Let me know if you want a whole block to fit this in. These buildings would look great on Main Street.

Thanks for the help Comphead! I'm going to run a few test "inspectors" through some of the more recent submissions, so it may take a bit of time.

If you are super eager to help build and need to get something approved so that you can get promoted, let me know here and I'll just look at it myself. Otherwise, I'll let the test inspectors try it out first and see how they do.

Currently I'm uploading some Portal 2 videos on my youtube, but expect to see something about HBC early next week :smile.gif:

    Feedback time!

Newsagent store: Just get rid of the levers and we're good
Deli: Liked the pun, just need to reduce the amount of food we're giving (see video)

    Approved pending changes

    Listemus
Not sure what kind of building this is, it seems a bit incomplete as the second floor has no walls or ceiling? Let me know.

    jhamm
So much stuff! Perhaps you can label them and it'll help me keep track of them better?
Already approved: music store, photo store, mini-soccer
Bakery: Need to reduce the amount of cake you're giving out here
    TV shop: looks good, approved
Long house with mushroom soup at the back: maybe just give the red and white mushroom so that they have to find a bowl and make the soup themselves? Size may be still a bit too long, but I might also be able to fit it somewhere if it's too hard to shorten
House with big table: No grass! Otherwise perfect
House with big car: Look good, I'm just confused by the fact that the second floor has no ceiling?
Spleef stadium: Looks ok, spectators needs an easy way to get into the viewing stands. Probably need a way to replace the snow as well
    Car dealer: looks good, approved

    I hope I didn't miss anything...let me know!

    Sweetness
Yea, the skyscraper definitely needs to be finished up first before I can add it to the city with confidence. Looks go so far!

    Rayzzerz
House 1: Yay mailbox! Design is really good, approved :smile.gif:
House 2: Again, house design is top notch. I did see one lever that will need to be replaced, but great work!
Coffee Shop: Looks good. Don't be afraid to use buttons as this is meant to be a multiplayer game so people can work with each other to access areas. Approved

    And yes, you're a developer now :smile.gif:

    yiker
I liked the cookie jar :smile.gif: The artificial tree in the back was good too. Just remove the levers from the house and it's approved.

    weq15
A partially destroyed house, neat! The TNT in the back was a bit mean :tongue.gif: but it's fine to keep. The barricaded stairs is a neat idea too. Ged rid of the piston on the main floor and it's approved.

I was thinking of what I think you're thinking of too. Wow that was confusing.

What I was gonna make, were a row of High Street Retail-esq shops but then put apartments on top. I'm not sure if this is just a thing we have over here but I thought it would look pretty good if there was a section of the city like this.

Here's an example. We could make it look more modern though.

    http://lovingapartments.com/poi/images/poi/73/73-Grafton-Street.JPG

Basically a line of retail stores flushed against each other with a living space on the second story? I was thinking of this too :smile.gif: If someone wants a whole block to make it, by all means go for it.
