    Wow. This is so exciting!
Hopefully you've found all the help you need for this.

So happy you share the 1.7.10 vision, too. There is so many incredible pieces of the 1.7.10 realism / customization puzzle scattered across the internet and when you put them all together it truly becomes so much more than just a version number.

I am currently working on bringing together the best of the best realism based mods into a lively, well balanced lifelike earth exploration experience in Minecraft that explores civilization through the ages with real world geology, lifelike crafting and building materials, technology, transportation, economy and of course, farming and wildlife.

A big priority of mine is to represent as much realistic wildlife diversity as possible in the natural world and meticulously spawn and balance all animals in their proper habitats, in combination with dynamic temperate / climate and ambient sound enviroments to make every region of the world feel special and unique when you explore it. (I actually found this thread by searching Google for a Minecraft version of the Cape Buffalo for my African region, so I guess we share a vision for authentic wildlife in Minecraft haha

Your list of animals fills so many gaps, both for domestic livestock and exotics and they look incredible so far!

Can't wait for the alpha download to show up to start playing around with this. The farm designs people will create with this will be nothing less than epic.

And... I mean...just imagine this in combination with the exotic birds mod, and the best of other wildlife mods all together.
    This community is truly amazing!

Having a hard time seeing the difference in those screenshots. But if there is a rendering glitch, it's most likely due to the change to render block overlays using alpha blending. Not sure why that would cause a problem but I'll look into it.

I'm getting this kind of weird rendering glitch too since I updated to 2.28.
It appears to be any leaf and grass blocks, and you can see all sorts of strange things you shouldn't be able to see from where you are standing, like water on the other side of a hill occasionally, transparent tree canopy top centres etc. Stripped it down to just PFAA and Custom Ore Gen and its definitely just the latest version causing the problem.
Any luck recreating the problem / finding a solution?

Attached a pic to illustrate better what happens but its difficult to capture it completely without video

Lots of awesome stuff in this mod! Loving the flexibility of configuring it too, absolutely essential for this kind of mod, so great work so far on making sure things can be toggled!

Just had a few ideas I thought I would pass along regarding domesticating animals.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned before or if it is already in the 1.8 version already, but one idea I had to making the wild animals a bit more dynamic and different than farm animals would be to maybe make the struggle of them following and breeding them a bit more real.

So, maybe a more randomized AI where some would be a bit skittish at times around players, and not so googly eyed excited about your wheat and have a smaller chance of following you / have lower attention spans when they do, so they seem less cooperative and more stubborn. And maybe an option to have a random chance of attacking you when you try and feed them the wheat?

Obviously you wouldn't want a cow you were trying to breed to continue attacking you until you had to kill it (or at least not very often) but there is an AI I noticed in Larsinators Lots O Mobs mod where the Gorilla will become aggressive toward you, but then once you punch it, it backs off.
This could potentially be a really cool way to achieve a sort of feeling of "man taming wild beast" type feel that you are going for here. And the random unpredictability of it would really make you alot more thoughtful of running around through a pen / herd of untamed cattle to pass out the grubs, when you weren't sure when one (or several) were going to charge you. This l would really increase the satisfaction of getting farm animals!

Maybe even also just a chance of just out right breeding failure with two wild animals once and a while vs farm animals too, even if they don't get angry very often. Just to make the satisfaction even greater. Cause I think the fun factor in the wild animals taming really is in the unpredictability of them and the advantage of the farm animals is not having to worry about that stuff.

And I like that previous suggestion by Dovahkiin of eating from the ground could come into play too, and only with farm animals. Maybe they could eat from a fillable trough periodically instead of always requiring manual feeding? That'd be very cool!

Milk really needs to be somewhat limited in Minecraft too. It's always really bugged me, especially with so many mods adding mobs using poison effects. Seems a shame to have it just an unlimited resource. So this mod is an awesome step in that direction in a really fun realistic sort of way.

Not exactly sure how this mod is programmed and I haven't had the time to test this yet, but would these cows (the tamed farm animal ones, happen to still be compatible with hunger overhaul's milking / breeding cool down features?
That would be very helpful and cool if they were.
I feel like having an abundant milk supply should require having more than one cow and the cool down thing is really effective at doing this. And in combination with this fun challenge of getting the cows would be awesome.

    One last thing! Lol
There is a very simple feature in GregTech that I absolutely love that I wish could be a standalone feature or exist in a lighter tweaks mod like this. Basically all it does is give you the option of making it so entities can't pile up together on the same block (the amount configurable) without starting to take suffocation damage.

At this present moment I don't know of anything else out there that would allow me this option (if someone reads this and knows or something let me know!) But we all know how having a large amount of farm animals all tightly packed together in a very small area is a nightmare for server lag. And there is always that ONE FRIEND who insists on pushing those limits somewhere in a secret underground base lol

But I think this would also really enhance the farming experience too (as well as help with lag) if animals needed more space to graze and suffocated if there was too many packed together in one area:

Any possibilities you'd consider adding that as a configuration option for those of us who are not AFK spawnerheads and would just rather the challenge of having to expand a farm out naturally to increase our animal populations?

Anyways, sorry for writing a novel, but the idea of improving farming kinda got some ideas rolling in my mind and I thought I would share!

Hopefully the 1.8 feature back-port project to 1.7.10 is a success! There is a bunch of them I would love to be able to use along side heaps of mods that aren't in 1.8 yet.

But ya, keep up the great work on this!
