Small update, just fixes the BetterGrass tints appearing where they shouldn't if you don't install BetterGrass, and updates mmcolors to the one that I had on imgur for a bit.
Everything else is taking a bit longer Im afraid. Not sure what's going on with this "official" BetterLight rumour, I know there were discussions but I'm genuinely a bit in the dark about how much, if any, they're using. So we'll see where the land lies when the next patch drops I guess.

Feb 11, 2011Hey all,Posted in: Mods Discussion
Sorry for leaving this thread in a mess. Back working on the mod now.
Currently on my urgent todo list:
- Fix fancypack compatibility
- Fix bettergrass tints appearing when bettergrass is not installed
- Dye support in SimpleMap
- Fix SMChat to support tab-to-reply in bukkit
Jan 22, 2011Hey all. So listen, this is just a quick note to say thanks for the support of the mods and sorry for not being around to update them lately. You all maybe know my development laptop blew up, which is annoying but no biggy, its going to be in the shop a couple of weeks. I managed to salvage most of the code, I lost a couple of things but nothing I can't redo.Posted in: Mods Discussion
The other thing is, we've had a bit of bad news in the family the last week, nothing I want to go into, personal stuff. But I've not been in the place I can really get on with coding anything; even when I've had the time to be at my computer it's just not been conducive to concentrating and honestly, I've got to be with my family right now.
By the sounds of it Minecraft's been up and down, and it's constantly reloading stuff... so I'm going to take a few days and get back into it when the game's more stable and I can get back in the zone. Peace,

AudioMod (Rusugami's one)
You missed one off the list: MrMMods. You're trying to patch into a jar that you've already patched with my patcher (either this version, or an earlier version) That's why its not working. Perhaps you added Optiminer, realised you did it in the wrong order and then tried to repatch? :wink.gif:
Jan 16, 2011Thanks for the offer of donations, but I dunno. I think it'd feel a bit shady doing that at the moment, like I was holding the update hostage or something! I hope to get a fix out Monday, maybe Tuesday.Posted in: Mods Discussion
Monday I'll be taking the laptop back to the shop and doing my consumer rights bit. Never get between an angry hippy and his geek toys.
Jan 15, 2011Hi all.Posted in: Mods Discussion
So today was supposed to be spent fixing this bug with block tinting... it's actually I think a bug that came in in the last version becasue I missed one instance of the variable for block ID changing. A one line fix, easy enough.
However... today at Starbucks (where I seem to get most of my good coding done) my laptop started behaving oddly - screen dimming and brightening like I was repeatedly yanking the cord. Too distracting! So I went home and plugged it in, when all of a sudden "that" hot electronic smell, and the graphics chip was going up to over 70C. I had just enough time to plug in a USB stick and rescue my code off it before it cooked altogether. I'm gutted, as I only just replaced it in September. :sad.gif:
So I'm still going to work on the mod but I have to get set up here on a new computer and all that rubbish, so its going to be a few days yet. Sorry guys. Will keep you posted.

This question is answered in the OP.

I just got to placing some sandstone and noticed it showed up as a bright pink on simplemap, Which is kind of bothering me.
Windows 95 ftw ? :biggrin.gif:
Simplemap has texture file, which the minimap uses, so update doesnt have them..
I belive he isnt improving SimpleMap, but there is a man who took this, and improved it 3x times... Search for Zan minimap
This isn't true, although AO stuff has taken a lot of my time I'm still working on SimpleMap, I just haven''t updated it in ages. Any new blocks have to be added to the mmcolors.png file which is in [minecraft]/mods/SimpleMap. I didn't know what the blocks were at the time so I couldn't add them :smile.gif: Each pixel in that corresponds to one block type: 0-31 on the top row, 32-63 on the second and so on if someone wants to do it in the mean time.
Jan 14, 2011[quote=flying sheep]here my log, since it glitches with optimine for me:Posted in: Mods Discussion
Patching class: cg (cg.class)
Modify tesselator shademodel (post) - [email protected]
thanks for looking into it!
Wierd... OK, the optimine problem is caused because of a change in optimine that meant my patcher couldn't see where to turn on the smoothness. Theres a line missing in your patch log "Modify tesselator shademodel (pre)" that tells me this is where its breaking for you.
The last version of Optimine http://mod.ifies.com/f/110114/Optimine_1.2_01v3.zip changed it back. Its one particular file in there - cg.class - which is the culprit
Working version: Timestamp: 14/1/02 15:57 Length: 4835 bytes
Non working version: Timestamp: 14/1/02 14:07 Length: 4843 bytes
I've just redone it and it definitely works. Which version of cg.class do you have? Nothing wierd happening like the download is cached somewhere for you and so you're getting the old one? Sorry to sound patronising, but I'm really struggling to see how it could be anything else.
Jan 14, 2011MrMessiah posted a message on [V1.3] Optimine (FPS Boost) [OPTIMIZATION] *UPDATED*OK well, I won't hijack Scaevolus's thread with it but if you still want help with it either PM me the patch log from my patcher, or post it in my thread and I'll see if I can see what's going on.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Jan 14, 2011Scaevolus has just uploaded a new version of Optimine (with the same version number I think, but its the one linked in the OP of his thread - redownload it to make sure) which fixes the compatibility with BetterLight.Posted in: Mods Discussion
