Vechs, look this up and read it for a bit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gondolin. The city style you might like, because of the circle and gate format. Oh, and the best part is that that city got annihilated in the end. Hope you find the wikipedia useful. Note its mostly just for city layout.

posted a message on If you were to go back in time to the year 1500, what's the most important information you could take with you?
The blueprints to the combustion and steam engine. The would go so faster and our technology would be 100 years into the future.

    Quote from Lord_Dust_Bunny

The problem with iron golems is that they naturally neutral to the player. And they kill most hostile mobs. And the fact that setting a fire or some lava by them will kill them without them attacking you. This makes easy iron, a good mob shield, and just plain lowers the difficulty. While there's probally a evil Vech's way to use them, there's also a easy player way to use them.

Theirs a simple way to force the player to activate the golems. Spawn villagers and lots of them in a narrow place with bedrock walls. This leads to attacking them and the golems go attack you.

Let's see. Runescape. Computers in generally and chocolate. I NEED my chocolate. Those things are less addictions but more habits though. Don' t play RS much because of minecraft and the massive amount of quests I never finished. Still a member their though. This is like my forth year with it.

Um vechs... we might have a problem with future maps...

CodeWarrior isn't developing mcedit any more (he might have someone else do it honestly I'm not entirely sure what his plans are).

"I'll make an announcement about the future of MCEdit's development shortly. The brief version is that I'm no longer interested in playing Minecraft, and I'm not making enough money developing MCEdit to justify pursuing it as even a part time job." -codewarrior

Even if known edits Vechs can use the slower method and use world edit instead. Slower, but that should work for the time.

Cobble melts, diamond melts. Swimming with a melted boat in the lava sea, seems legit...

It's ends one not cobble. Due to the Darkneas of the end reals it should be unusually cold and lead to this. I assume to has ended on it and to me ender= void. Enough of that energy cold make it cold enough not to melt.

Ah...no. Already been discussed once on GS. Obsidian isn't really immune to lava -- it practically is lava. It would just melt back, probably :\

Oknthen. Mabye a unique end stone diamond combo for the Anti-lava. Tha would be better I think.

Their should be obsidian plating. Very expensive to use but when a but is foully covered, immune to lava to make lava ships.

Everything is too complicated. Your descriptions are very confusing. None of the items are "realistic". (beams?)

The first one is an over-complicated pressure plate. The second one is the most confusing. What does it do? Suck in arrows? (fired or dropped?) The last one is overpowered and over-complicated and unrealistic. (beams of some sort... It hardly makes sense.).

Think your ideas through more. Is it something new? Does is solve a problem? Does it add a better experience to minecraft in some way? Has it been thought of before?

Your whole post is because you think path-finding mobs are going to make houses not safe... Ever heard of a door? You can make those is minecraft you know.

If you really want devices to attack mobs and such, just hook up a pressure plate to a despencer. Build a moat. A quote comes to mind: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

    summary:
If your question is "why doesn't anyone reply?". It's because there's way too many things wrong with your ideas... They don't want to sit down and tell you that every part of the ideas are flawed. "beams of energy"? Do you see beams anywhere else in minecraft? That stuff just won't fit in.

Sorry that I sound like a douche, but nobody else was telling you why this stuff is a bad idea.

I love the fact that you say "realism" in minecraft. Minecraft is not made to be real life. Are ender pearls realistic? No! Are creepers realistic? No! Sending realisim into the argument is forlorn be Use minecraft is not mean to be a realistic game. For your beams argument, I don't see you complaining about the crystals that' shoot BEAM'S to heal enderdragon.

Sure it might have been suggested. But is it right to say that you can't say something because it has already been said? People have different ideas on the same thing. If we let them come out, people can make them better. This is why this is called the suggestions forums, because you SUGGEST in them.

The door argument, sure you can say that. But how will a door aid if jeb one day says "let creepers blow up if their is wall between you and them?" this is I would like things like this. The third defense option wold keep the creepers away from the walls and let them not explode. S let's think about the possibilities instead of think of what we have now.

    Quote from Breadlord

Where the hell are you getting your information? Or are you just making this up? Space is not endless but it is expanding (at a rate faster than the speed of light). So the very idea of measuring it's size is ludicrous.

Its called a book and the internet and other places. Does it matter, lets get over it.
