Many people think Minecraft is dead (or will be dead soon) because of this update. So I posted that meme. It's not dead to me though; that would require Microsoft/Mojang to do something worse like [REDACTED].

Maybe "Player2" can just word the message differently by saying something like "make yourself respawn somehow". Then people will know that it's just an in-game thing since you can't respawn in real life.

From the support page:
"When you submit a report, you are required to select the individual chat messages that contain the objectionable content, as well as the category of the report, to provide the best context for our moderation team to take action. "
That means that if you don't use chat at all, you're safe, right? There would be nothing to report!
Before you go into how a lack of people using chat will mess things up, there are other ways of communicating!

That actually makes me feel a bit... better! However, since not too many people use this forum, many discussions about this update have really become heated and have a lot of fearmongering and saying that Minecraft is dead!

I agree with you! I am doing a “Vegan Challenge” on Twitch on Tuesday, where I will try to beat the game on Hardcore Mode without eating meat, fish, spider eyes, fermented spider eyes, rotten flesh, honey, or cake, drinking milk, or using items from non-hostile mobs, including all of the new stuff from 1.15! This also includes potions that are made using spider eyes (including fermented spider eyes) or pufferfish. I will play 1.15 on my Twitch channel on Wednesday though! It may actually be the Wednesday after Christmas, because I am going to an “ugly sweater” event this Wednesday, and next Wednesday is Christmas Day!

The domain name may appear official. MinecraftMaps.com could have a similar problem, but Planet Minecraft is fine. And I don't know if this also affects CurseForge or the whole of Magic Find/MobaFire (the bullet point below the bold text says it can't relate to other games).
Also, the footer needs text saying that MCF isn't an official Minecraft product.

Just be EXTREMELY careful. You can get banned from ALL Minecraft servers now for something as simple as saying something that Mojang doesn't like.

The game is actually 13 years old. Also, doesn't this kind of backlash over an update happen a lot? A developer releases a highly controversial update, people lash out and say the game is dying/ruined, and then things eventually cool down and life goes on; is that a normal course of events that happens a lot?

Many people are saying that the new chat reporting feature in 1.19.1 will ruin Minecraft. This convinces me that the game will die out on Tuesday and pretty much everyone will stop playing. This makes me not motivated to create Minecraft content anymore due to the possibility of nobody enjoying it, and it makes me very depressed with the thought of my favorite game dying out. Can anyone try to convince me otherwise?
