Ok, a company that saved video games in 1985, not to mention making several other GREAT games (Zelda, Mario, Contra, Kirby, etc.) vs. a company that's made ONE game. I am giving Mojang a chance. I bought there game, didn't I? All i'm trying to say is Mojang doesn't deserve to go up against one of the greatest and most successful video game companies of all time, and WIN.
The fact that Nintendo was hot **** back in the day has no bearing on the cold liquid **** they are now. They can't ride on the coattails of their flagship franchises forever. They've fallen from grace, the only things keeping them alive as game developers now are fanboys and Pokemon. I too once claimed I would never give up faith in Nintendo. They proved me wrong with the Wii. The only thing they've improved since they pushed out the Wii is Pokemon. They've shifted their focus to casual family gaming with the Wii, and their DS gaming is focused squarely on 8-year old girls; the only good DS games aside from Pokemon are third party. Hell, the only reason I have a Wii is for Monster Hunter, and I found it to be a huge disappointment despite being a rabid foaming fangirl.
Despite being still in progress, Minecraft is a good game. You can't say Nintendo deserves to win because they made several good games years ago. Judge them by what they've become rather than their legacy, and Mojang comes out on top. Compare the other way around and Nintendo wins because Mojang isn't even a year old yet.
Too bad for Nintendo. The gaming industry is all about what's hot now.
Well, to tell you the truth, that makes sense. But, in 30 years, I don't think people will even remember Minecraft like they do Mario, etc. I think that I was wrong about Mojang not deserving to win, they worked hard on Minecraft and do deserve the win. I just think that, if you compare the companies history as a whole, it was an unfair matchup from the start. I'm glad Mojang could pull it out against one of the biggest and most successful video game companies.

All I'm reading from that is "Waaah! My favourite devs didn't win! I must say Mojang doesn't deserve it even though the vote just proved me wrong!".
Well, all I hear is "Oh, I can't really come up with any intelligent discourse so i'll just make fun of this guy! LOL!"
Nintendo lost. I've given up hope for the future generations.
Me too, if a new company has a fair chance at being successful, then there is no hope
Because new things and change are horrible, [Sarcasm]
Stop hating on new things, nintendo was once new, but you don't hate that, thats becuase back then, people GAVE IT A CHANCE,

What the hell wasn't there supposed to be some kind of adventure update like 3 months ago?? Now I see this, and THERE IS STILL NO ADVENTURE UPDATE. I shouldn't really be surprised though, considering I have been playing Minecraft for over a year now, so I should be used to being disappointed by updates now.
