It's actually quite hard because of the boring and predictable terrain Minecraft have nowadays. Those big YouTubers actually have some motivation that most people don't have; Making videos. Because the viewers have started loving their maps, the YouTubers also love their maps. They really feel the motivation.

I've had the same problem as you, and I still kind of have it. What I did to improve my singleplayer experience was to always play on the same world, even if I feel unmotivated. Whenever I feel like quitting the map, I just go gather some resources, build a small house or something like that even though I don't feel like it at the time. It's amazing how fast the time suddenly went, and you do feel a little motivated again. Maybe you'd start on a new project you enjoy?

Though, sometimes you just cannot force yourself to play on the same world ever day. It's just too boring. If that ever happenes, I suggest just leaving Minecraft for a week or two, then coming back to it. There's no point in just making a new world, it will just make you more tired of it. Trust me, it will help you.

Its not removing punching wood at all. All tools are still made from sticks. As well as the craft bench is made from wood.

I still see no reason whatsoever to actually remove wooden tools. It cannot be that much of a problem for you, seriously.

Bad suggestion. You're literally removing the first phase of starting a Minecraft survival world, let alone one of the most symbolic actions in the game: Punching wood.

Removing wooden tools would make everyone pissed, and it's pointless. They may suck, but I still cherish those tools.

What would happen next? Would you complain about the stone tools because they suck too much?
You know what, why don't we just start with diamond tools? It's much easier.

This isn't an RPG game. We don't want quests, especially if there's boring one's like "Hey, give me 20 leather and I'll give you a book!".

    Minecraft doesn't need it.

You could either downgrade, like you suggested, or you could use MCEdit. I find it more complicated and not so practical when it comes to details, but it can make huge changes without crashing the game.

I suggest using MCEdit while you wait for WorldEdit to be updated. It might not make the map perfect, but at least it will help you.

I really liked the design of the walls and the gate. It's simple, yet nice.

Though I would suggest making the area bigger. From what I can tell by the pictures, it's not very big. Unless you have a good back-up plan on what to do when the place is full, you will probably regret having such a small place when building the houses (I'm assuming that you will have houses in there. Correct?).

Other than that, it looks good so far.

Did you just make that? That's damn nice.

Though, the forest and earth altars would be better if you made the rest of the block yourself, aswell. You know, not having the original wood on the back of the carving. Except from that, nice work.

    ~EDIT~

ok maybe the storyline thing wouldnt be a good idea but the aspect of the post is still ok in my opinion.
also reading the replies, i have some changes
    • purifying the dragon egg?
    • making the wither weaker and dragon harder?
    • wither fort? castle in overworld with wither army (one headed withers) with actual Wither King with the three heads?. explosions wont destroy the castle just as the enderdragon cant destoy obsidian?
again for haters, this is just a suggestion. this has a low chance of being implemented

I have nothing against regular suggestions, but just leave any stories/lore alone. They're pointless.

Also, keep in mind that the Witherking isn't near finished, so suggestions about him may be a little bit early. The last point, about the castle, was actually pretty good.
