Why would young children (I'm assuming below the age of 12) be doing complex redstone or such or even be playing in snapshots? If a person is truly concerned about it, make sure to backup your worlds maybe daily or in fact possibly backup your whole computer each week. It's a good practice to get into. I personally don't see a reason to add this backup option but others might. Manually backing up isn't that hard and many people who have these giant worlds or do giant builds do backup their files constantly. I could see it working out for them but for most casual players I don't see a reason.

So... You're concerned about weed, so Mojang needs to implement a mob that drops marijuana, so they can show they don't like weed?
I see no reason for this mob to exist.
The thing about those games that you stated, (Mario, Pacman) is that the "drug" isn't called a drug. Kids don't focus on this idea that a part of the game they just call a mushroom could be a reference to a drug in real life. They don't think of it as drugs as it isn't stated to be a drug. People make these assumptions that they are drugs, such as you were saying, in Mario and Pacman, but they aren't. Those are just the ideas of the companies that made their own game. "Oh what should we make Pacman eat?" "How about pellets". No child game company purposely puts something that could signify drugs in their game. Nintendo or other game companies, don't see their product's powerup or main eating ingredient (I personally don't know what to call it :P) to be drugs. So why should Mojang? Why should Mojang put a mob in their game to "teach" kids that drugs like marijuana are bad. They shouldn't that's why. Games aren't meant to focus on those topics. That's why we have people who watch over us otherwise known as parents. We need parents to teach us this stuff, not video games. We need parents to teach us that we shouldn't take drugs.
Jul 21, 2014So you are asking for a boss that has 2x the health of the wither (already a push) is extremely rare to make, does not give any benefits as far as you have told us, and can deal 12 damage with full diamond armor and no enchants. To me it sounds extremely OP, sounds like a copy of the wither, and has nothing really going for it. How rare are the heads to drop? Why do we need a ghast head if it is supposed to have a ghast body? What are the other two heads (That should be up to you to decide not the "critics"). Why are most of its attacks like the wither's? Change up the attacks, make it less overpowering, change the drop rates, and give us some more detail about it. For what it is now, it doesn't sound like it has a point really. Sorry but no support.Posted in: Suggestions
Jul 21, 2014MonseigneurMadHatter posted a message on Prismarine Golem (A unique golem that gives a new use to prismarine and gold!)Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from UndeadGaming606
I said they did 2 HEARTS of damage. I might buff it to 3 hearts of damage. It does have more health than a dog, has a special ability to pull enemies closer, and can wear armor.
See but the thing is gold armor isn't that useful so having armor won't really help it, and the fact that it pulls an enemy closer is a good idea but not a good argument. A dog will chasing an enemy = "Prismarine Golem" attracting enemies. Plus no matter how you think of it, it doesn't really have anything else to protect it. You never said if it would cause knockback or anything when it attacked so a creeper could easily take care of it and 2 to 3 zombies/spiders/skeletons could as well. How would it work with endermen, would they instantly teleport away and then attack the golem meaning that the golem would pretty obviously die first as both do 2 hearts (on easy) and the enderman has more hearts plus with the teleporting and such = dead prsimarine golem. Overall I think it could be a good idea but it went from too OP to way Under Powered. So for the moment,no support.
One more thing, you already attract mobs so I get that it could be a distraction but a dog could as said before do the same amount of damage and provide as a distraction.
Jul 16, 2014The thing is I don't know what I would want to happen with the AI of mobs since I am fine with it right now in the current game, but I will give some ideas that came to mind. One possible idea is that perhaps Enderman have a chance to steal your armor when they strike you, by "taking" it with them and then dropping it on the ground. Not much but it would make the game harder as perhaps he takes your chestplate which is protecting you mainly, now you are vulnerable.Posted in: Suggestions
For Skeletons one idea is that they will try to get higher ground. If in their visibility range they will target you and once you are per-say 10 blocks away, if there is higher ground accessible in a 5 block square radius, they will move up towards it. This would make skeletons have a higher ground advantage and will take more time to reach them from a player's current spot. Simply backing up makes them seem too vulnerable so a higher ground advantage seems (to me) more fitting. I have to say props to you for coming up with an idea as after about 5 minutes of thinking this is all I got, but its up to you the OP to come up with good ideas and I think you are definitely fine tuning them so keep it up and I'll hopefully keep up with this post :).
Oh and by the way Svlyfe you can type into chat /gamerule NaturalRegeneration false and that will make UHC mode "activated" and then if you die you can delete your world, or start it as a hardcore world, and open it up to LAN with cheats on and then input the command above.
Jul 16, 2014Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from OkonukiWhat? Your reason for not wanting a change is because Skydoesminecraft fans like killing squids? He never said he was going to get rid of squids, just add in a flower or something. That barely makes any sense.
It seems like you misunderstood Striker, what he was simply stating is that many people are subscribed to SkyDoesMinecraft (A Youtuber who plays Minecraft) and he is known for his hatred of squids so many people follow in his role. He then though went further and supported another person who said that if we were to have a flower for black dye that would render squids from almost useless to useless about. Jul 16, 2014Posted in: SuggestionsBut if they did stray from creative purposefully to bring the game into a more adventure/survival scene, then they could have made just as big of a community too, and they could have made epic survival stories and custom survival maps that highlighted certain aspects of the enemy AI
See but this is the thing, map makers have already figured out how to make "epic survival stories" and many custom survival maps that have enemies with custom AI. Examples of this are many of Hypixel's maps which are vanilla, (Herobrine's Mansion, Wrath of The Fallen, Wither's Challenge). These maps are already highly known of and have a good adventure/survival scene along with different aspects of enemy AI.
Therefore they kinda made a statement that a super hard game mode was stupid.
This is very untrue. They were not making any statement that a super hard game mode was stupid, dumb or idiotic. They were simply introducing a Too Hard mode as a prank. The fact is that the red version of Minecraft 2.0 was incredibly hard too the point where it was too hard. Mojang wasn't making any statement against harder modes because if they were they wouldn't have introduced a way to put Natural Regeneration off in 1.7 or Hardcore mode. They know that harder modes are fun for people. The lightning was just too frequent in their version and made it incredibly hard. With your mode if it was just an occasional lightning twice each night (around once every 15 minutes) that seems ok. If the mobs were toned down like you said it would add a thrill to the game. It could have planning and such making it comfortable and enjoyable.
What I'm trying to do is give them some predictability.
Most if not all of the mobs already have predictability with their AI. If you were to add the changes that you are saying such as the Enderman and Skeleton working together, that would make it unpredictable as you wouldn't know if the enderman was going to build a place for the skeleton or not. You wouldn't know what was going to happen. The whole reason that enderman are a "hard mob" is because they are unpredictable in the current game of minecraft. You don't know if they are going to charge you or not which makes the game slightly harder as you have to be prepared.
Next, with the game now you can already have these "extreme stituations" and nothing about getting through them is cheap. Most of the time to get through a situation in Minecraft you need a combination of skill and a partial bit of luck. The game is already balanced as is hence why Mojang doesn't focus its changes on mob AI.
I think that the zombie idea gets a somewhat half support as its an interesting concept but it still seems a little undeveloped at the moment (which is normal). If I was to give some criticism on that it would be, make it so that you can "burn" it in a fire (toss it into a fire or lava or on a cactus) to get rid of it as a way too prevent zombies from spawning or going after you. If that was included that could make up for strategies such as placements of waste bins or maybe always carrying lava with you. If there was no way to get rid of it that would equal an unbalanced game and unbalanced mechanics.
Remember though that I'm just trying to help, not trying to be mean . You are obviously very creative for thinking up these ideas.
Jul 15, 2014I don't support the hats as skins are enough for me. If you want you can always check out the hats mod which as it implies adds collectible hats to the game. The new ores are a fine idea but there would need to be some more uses to them rather than just tools. I think the mobs idea is fine, but add a couple more and it could become a good idea.Posted in: Suggestions

Jul 15, 2014Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from undefined »creative isn't for everyone, but it still exists doesn't it?
See, but here is the bad thing with this argument, Minecraft is a game about building so Creative is going to be a thing for a majority of people and its going to be a selling feature of the game. If creative wasn't part of the game since it "wasn't for everyone" then lots of the big builds and maps that are popular wouldn't exist and not that many people would be attracted to the game. The red version of Minecraft 2.0 was a prank. They weren't making fun of harder games or any of that, they were pranking us for April fools. The way it was put also was too ridiculously hard. If you begin the game and all of a sudden lightning hits near you and OP mobs are all around you, you're probably going to die. Now heighten this up to the level where it happens every minute and you can't stop it, the game becomes less enjoyable.
Moving on to the next thing with Passive mobs, if you were to make them still only attack at night (even with the small damage and not that frequently) it still wouldn't make sense. If anything they would attack all the time, during day and no matter what. But then that doesn't make them this passive mob or a friendly mob. Cows, sheep, chickens, etc. are all scared of humans hence why they don't tend to attack them. So No support for that idea.
Next thing, Enderman. In my opinion enderman are a perfectly balanced mob. They deal heavy damage, have lots of health and can't be hit by projectiles. The teleporting shouldn't be an issue at all. If you were to make it so that they simply circle around you by teleporting. That wouldn't change anything. Like you said have them hit you and then go to a different place (where they were before). That is exactly what enderman already do in the game, they go for you at one point get a couple of hits off by surprise, and then teleport away, meaning there is no need for a change. Yes I understand you are going for a harder mode but if you are going to make the game harder why change a mobs AI. Instead go for different things that they can do, for instance the zombie. It always goes for villagers and once you get to hard difficulty it can break down doors. Not a major change in AI like you are going for. That's all I have to say and sorry if it came off as rude. But still Half-Support.
Jul 14, 2014After reading over the replies that took over, I have to agree that killing squids and finding them isn't that hard. Like others have said you can also make a squid farm which isn't that hard. Sorry but No Support.Posted in: Suggestions
Jul 14, 2014Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from turtleagldragonI'm not saying that turning the brightness down doesn't make it harder, I'm saying it makes it stupider. Also, When I say darker, I'm thinking light is just the same, you just don't get to see so far out even when it's dark.
Ok, I can see what you're going for here now with the brightness and such but even then you can turn render distance down when it turns night every night (which is a lot of work) so I can now see why that might be a mode as so that you won't have to do that. One other thing to note though is that animals would/should be turned into a passive mob instead of the night thing. To me it sounds kind of odd that a sheep would all of a sudden turn on you at night and deal damage, it just doesn't sound right neither with a chicken or a cow. And we already have a mob that does that, a spider. Spiders during night or while in darkness are aggressive but if they didn't "see" you before it was day they aren't aggressive. If anything in my personal opinion, if this was to go through, cows, sheep, etc. should be passive mobs like wolves that when you hit one they all notice and go for you. But even that sounds odd. Sorry for the ramble and such but for right now I go with others and say Half Support.
Jul 13, 2014I agree with the coal idea and support it but I don't mind the flower idea, the one problem though is that we would have to get a new use for ink sacs or have it so that you can craft both coal (or the withered flowers) and the ink sacs into a black dye.Posted in: Suggestions
Jul 13, 2014Sorry for coming into this but one thing you said Is that you believe that making it darker would make it harder and scarier because it's the unknown, but now you are saying that doing that exact thing by turning down the brightness doesn't make it harder?Posted in: Suggestions
