I just recently joined the Forum part but have played Minecraft for a couple years now. I enjoy it because it's something I can do with my brother and gives us a fun way to connect.

I too have encountered weird sounds on Minecraft. I was traveling through an ocean biome on one of the 1.13 pre-releases when some sound I had never heard made me practically jump out of my seat. The only thing I know for sure was that it was not the same sound I've heard in the past when near a guardian.

That sounds like a great idea! I think you should be able to ride dolphins as well.

How did you hear about server?: my brother, dagreenkat

What got you interested in the server?: My brother and I wanted to find a server that we could join so that not only could we play together but also have a nice community of other players to work with on builds and general Minecraft survival adventuring. As he stated in his application, we had a not so successful attempt but are optimistic people who are always looking for opportunities and this server seems like a great fit. I was especially excited about this opportunity when I saw the well-executed and cute graphic designs along with the clearly described rules and expectations.

What is your favorite part of Minecraft?: My favorite part about Minecraft is that it is something I can do with my brother. It gives us a way to connect with each other in a fun, creative way. Most of what I know is thanks to my brother's patience in teaching me the ropes (along with my multiple fails until I figure it out on my own). When I'm not going on adventures or playing games on servers with my brother, I enjoy challenging myself by seeing how long I can survive and what biomes I can discover on my own.

Do you have a preferred building style?: I would not say my building has a particular style other than avant-garde in the sense that I am before my own time since I am still a novice with much to learn in techniques of building on Minecraft. I enjoy building things with lots of windows and experimenting with different ideas I may think of while using a variety of materials.

What do you hope to get out of this server?: I find Minecraft to be a great way to unwind and take a break from the demands of everyday life. I hope that I can connect with other players that enjoy the simple yet vast world of Minecraft where studying and grocery shopping melt away into fighting zombies or creating great mansions to house your myriad of dogs that aren't always the brightest when it comes to lava.

What can you bring to this server?: A positive attitude and unique perspective to Minecraft for someone who is not completely new but still has a lot to learn. I am always willing to help and make a great traveling companion to any other adventurous players who aren't afraid to get lost thousands of blocks away from spawn.

Tell us about yourself!: I am going into my senior year of college and am passionate about volunteering and love being part of a diverse, inclusive community. I love art history and my ideal vacation is being surrounded by art and beautiful historic architecture. ;
