I did some tries with a friend, the problem is item frames are here but not visible. So, the idea is indeed to summon the item frames once the player can enter in the room.
Update uploaded: will be available in a couple of hours if everything goes right.
Include:
Fix for the last level (the part with redstone blocks)
Fix for the purple bridge in chapter 3
Fix for this item frames (if they're not present, the button is here to kill and re-summon them now, it's a reset)

I found a way to solve the problem with item frame (it's a bug in the game not in the map, I found it on the bug tracker). Probably an update soon.
I know it's glitchy but i'm not going to update this map.
To add attributes to a player, you need to do it manually in the level.dat file. But, when the player die, all attributes will be reset to default value (that's why you can't die). Also, this trick can only work in singleplayer.
The problem is I never reproduced this bug. Maybe frames are just not rendering. :/
Solution: escape - open to LAN - enable cheats - go in the teleporter room and break the iron door (don't forget to switch back in adventure or survival mode)... If you have MCEdit, can you open the map with it and look if there's entities next the emerald block ?
If I find enough time to update the map, I'll try to summon the frames when the player is in the room..

I don't know how you can be stuck there... once the eye is placed, the game should end just after that.
Keep in mind that it's an 1.7 map and Mizzle II is for 1.8 with ton of new features.
