I'd like to place the More Info at the top of the screen, as seen in this screenshot:
But I do not know how. How can I move it to the top of my screen? I don't like having it in the corner of my screen. It's unclean looking. No matter which corner it's in, it's just uncomfortable looking.
EDIT: I've looked in the options and other than letting me change which corner it appears, I cannot change it to the top of my screen. I only use MoreInfo and have no interest in the other mods as part of CJB.
I think breeding should just be animals near one another will sometimes breed. Feeding them like this might as well be cheating given how plentiful grains are..
Still, I want a chicken pen so I can make arrows easier..
My hope is that by feeding animals they will follow you, allowing you to pen them if you need.
Wow I wish they'd make the spider webs flammable! I know a lot of people are gonna say that it'll make the cave spider nests too easy to deal with, but I think theres a trade off with it. Yes, torching the webs will kill most of the spiders, but it also runs the risk of torching any chests in the area, or a wood support holding up water/gravel. Also the cave spider spawner will survive the fire plus now you may have to contend with cave spiders that are on fire.
When I first encountered the webs, I tried in vain to ignite them. When I realized they could not be ignited I tried to punch them. Through trial and error I found out you have to use a sword.
I do wish you could burn them down, but cutting through them isn't such a big deal. The string they drop is very useful in making wool, which can be very rare if you live away from Grasslands.
Jeb mentioned on his Twitter that he would like to make Sheep drop Lamb-chops in the future, but they are not focusing on any NPCs in patch 1.9. As for wool, If you find a Grassland biome you will find a near infinite supply of sheep. Keep up the search, Darling! ♥
Well, I heard the Stronghold thing is still in the works.. I guess it's possible to still get the effects of additional strongholds by walking far enough. My boyfriend and I are going to go ahead and start playing because we don't see anything special coming out in 1.8 except bug fixes. I imagine they want to rush the patch out as fast as we want it to be out and you can't do that if you continue to add new features ♥
I've had minor issues with it. For instance I would be trying to move about on a structure I'm building and occasionally sprint when I don't mean to. I'm used to sprinting with the shift button, so maybe it will be configurable in the future ♥
Think of the possibilities! One could make a very creepy village out of these vines.. Hmm.. I think I'll be doing that today when my boyfriend gets home ^-^.
Carved pumpkins, Vines, Mossy Cobblestone.. Talk about a haunted mansion XD ♥
This is apparently the last post I can make today "You can make 1 more posts until 13 September 2011 - 12:54 PM. This restriction is in place until you have 2 more approved posts", so I will try and make it a good one.
I think food should stack in 64 sizes. It is in my opinion that with the introduction of a hunger meter, exploration is now more limited than ever, since one is more dependent on food as a fuel. Hunger is a real issue, and as a result, many players may feel threatened or punished for venturing too far away from their farm lands, or livestock. The resulting fear of dying to hunger leaves me scratching my head as to whether this is more a "Survival" update rather than an "Adventure" update. ♥
I imagine 1.8 will come soon. It appears Jeb is working tirelessly to get those bugs squashed. The fact they gave us a Pre-release to play with is an interesting concept, you know? I think it's something I hope they do in the future. It prepares modders for what's to come; gives them something to work with. It also gives people a taste of upcoming features.
Alas, I wish things weren't so fragmented with regards to included features that are not expanded upon until a later patch (Actual Use for EXP being the biggest one), but that's a topic for another day.
The Irony of them is I heard they contain chests with fairly mundane materials.. Not sure what kind of creepiest are hidden within; aside from the new Silverfish monster.
Well, minecraft worlds are really large so I don't see why we can't have more than one stronghold. They do seem fun and it's always a nice surprise to bump into one. Are you afraid they will lose their charm if one could be generated every chunk? I suppose that's possible. Perhaps we'll be able to make our own strongholds using the new blocks. Time will tell; however.
Well, it's not so much an exploration update as an adventure update. A culmination of events leading up to a bigger, more robust system of adventuring (1.9). Exploration is a part of adventuring, sure, and I agree that we are limited now more than ever (especially with a hunger meter), but I digress. I'm still looking forward to 1.8/1.9 and I hope it will revive my interest in Minecraft ♥

Not sure why you would eat mushrooms growing on cows. Especially mushrooms from an evil mushroom biome =P
