You really should post a picture of some of your own work before you create a poll, that way: it is forum-legal, people know your abilities, and so we know what texture pack you are using. You will also get more views/comments if you have something to show first.
Not that there is anything wrong with the building itself; but the town hall should always be one of the nicer buildings in a town. My advice is avoid perfect squares/rectangles, go multi-story, and make used of a mixture of wood and stone, with cobble being wonderful for flooring/baseboard.
You sir, I respect for having the initiative to post a thread like this with such careful wording; and though I infrequently share pictures of my server, I shall share a picture of one of my in-development areas which sports some lovely Beta 1.7 generated terrain. Such lovely shapes.

Stay away from boring rectangular shapes is my biggest one; try some curves to it. I would also highly advise getting a texture pack instead of just using plain vanilla, it is boring after all. I also suggest that if you're against using wood, try varying the types of stone that you do use; i.e: stone brick, slabs, stairs, etc. I'm also not a huge fan of the glass floors, but that is just me. Otherwise, welcome to the community and keep improving yourself!
Still, it'd be neat to see it working, considering connect-four (or something, my memory fails me) got a spotlight, this would definitely get one. They seem to love games for the spotlights.
I think computers and any other intricate redstone wiring is more of a video type showcase. Pics don't do them justice as to most it just looks like a bunch of blocks and things placed together. They wanna see it working and doing things to show its worth. Great build.
Hmm... okay Antiqua, I think my beef with this build is that I can clearly identify what appear to be three worldedit spheres that make up the balloon, could you delineate them? Also, this is just me, but I'd like the airship more if the ship itself were a tad longer.
Ink sacks were always at least marginally useful, they functioned as a black dye for wools. But now, this book editing update has me ecstatic because I can now write custom books for my rp server. Hooray Jeb!

I find it is quite nice; the only thing I think is odd is how the lines off the towers dip a little much which suggests they need support under them.
