So... it is a survival map then? You really should explain what you want a bit more so others understand; but I get what you're saying, you want the player to have a bit more of a back-story upon spawning such as being a shipwreck survivor, etc.
Forums are usually rather dead at this hour, but might I suggest that you vary your materials in the roller coaster a bit more? At least use different plank types for the decking of it. Also, mix up some white or another color into that red canvas building cover. Good Start.
Try using slabs as the bottom level of the wall, and then using cedar or birch planks for the wall, as well as a material (e.g. logs) for corners and support columns.
A tip before you start building, avoid square/rectangular castles; they are very very boring. Might I suggest making the castle conform to the shape of the land?
Ink sacks were always at least marginally useful, they functioned as a black dye for wools. But now, this book editing update has me ecstatic because I can now write custom books for my rp server. Hooray Jeb!
