    GET THE **** OVER IT.
    Subtle...

It's not that we don't want it and wont use it. It's just extra time being wasted on something we most likely wont use. Some of us are getting kinda tired of building full civilizations by ourselves and are really looking forward to playing with our friends and now that gets put on hold for something we really dont care for, or care about.

    This kinda sucks.

I would MUCH rather have him work on getting multiplayer to work.

But no, now we gotta wait 2 months for a completely new level system that will demand higher specs on servers. But if we can still use normal limited levels, thats fine. But still, I want multiplayer more than anything else.

I hope we get different variations of armor. Like maybe chainmail.

As for the 3rd person view it made me realize something. Notch should really try reanimating the walking. At least just the arms. Giving the characters elbows and knees would be swell. But right now when you walk the legs are fine but the arms are DURP DE HURR DA DUM DE DUH.

Yeah once the tree has been severed from the ground or all chopped down the leaves disappear into saplings to plant. It's AWESOME and I love it.

If you die you lose everything you are carrying.

It is simple and it works and it makes sense.

Carry non-valuable/crappier gear so when you DO die its not so bad = you die easily
Carry valuable/not crappy gear = you dont die easily

Maybe even have it so you drop your stuff for other players to rob your corpse. Although I think that should be a server side option.

Another somewhat related suggestion is wherever you die, a tombstone block is place where you died. Of course it wears off and goes away after some time but it'll be a nice reminder for all players to NOT DIE.

If notch wants some kind of penalty for death it seems awfully simple to me.

You lose whatever you were carrying. All your armor, weapons, tools and blocks that you were carrying at the time are gone. Maybe even have it so you actually drop them for other players to snatch up. Maybe just have the disappear after some amount of time.

Seems like it would work just fine to me. If you try to be sly with it and just carry things that dont really matter to you well then chances are they're crummy tools and weapons that wont really keep you alive in the first place so you'll be dying a lot, and losing your stuff a lot and who wants to do that over and over?

I really hope someone else has suggested this. It's the first thing that popped into my head. It's simple and effective.

Wow is this script some sort of joke or what? It just ate my level and of course I don't have a backup. What kind of a joke of a script is this? I almost wanna call this script malicious because it's doing something I didn't want it to do and deleting something I didn't want to delete.

Personally, I think you should really test something before you go package it and release it even as a beta or alpha. At least add a warning into the OP saying "This script might eat your level please make a backup"

    -1/10 would not download again.

    I got a problem.

Whenever I try to run it. (I run it by using Start->Run and browsing for the file) I get this error.

    http://i46.tinypic.com/73p4yr.png

i dont hope you mind, but here is how to fix the wordkick problem:
go to line 75 and change:
    '!kickwords' : self.wordkick
    to:
    '!kickwords' : self.kickwords

then go to line 94 and change:
    '!kickwords' : self.wordkick
    to
    '!kickwords' : self.kickwords

Ah thanks that helped. Is the external URL the same one as it was created by the default server or does it create a new one?

    will fix

You have no idea how happy Isocraft has made me as a server admin, pubby.
I thank thee from the depths of my corner of the serversphere.

    Word brother.

I look forward to the next version and I hope they can be saved as something other than bmp and my problem is solved one way or another. :smile.gif:

Yeah, the next version will be that way.

But that won't work on macs.

Hehe oh no what a sacrifice!. :smile.gif:

Well the image converting thing still didn't work. I'm pretty sure that it's the way they are named and they're getting all mixed up. Might I suggest another way of naming the files? Like maybe timelapse000001, timelapse 000002 and etc? And would it be possible to have them save as anything but a bmp?

^ I've never used Vegas, but I used to use WMM for Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 quite often.

I remember that WMM didn't always like the PNG format. Vegas may be the same way. I would recommend doing a mass conversion from PNG to JPG and seeing if that works better.

....I used to have a program that could convert pictures en masse, but I can't find the link anymore. I'll look more tonight.

    EDIT: Here it is: Clicky

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

MiniManz, your problem really doesn't seem to have anything to do with IsoCraft. It's a Windows Movie Maker issue.
Do the pictures that IsoCraft creates come out okay or not? That's the only question here.

I'm not using Windows Movie Maker. I'm using Vegas.

And yeah, the images seem to come out just fine. I can't view through all 800+ of them but all the images seem fine. For an example of my problem here is one of the few videos I've put up.
