You know that someone is going to make a mod for Dolphin Armor now, and in a way that properly renders and everything too.

I just had a quick idea for Buffet maps, how about a check mark option for "Include variants", which allows for example: When selecting Mesa Biome, it also generates Mesa (Bryce), Mesa Forest Plateau, Mesa Plateau, and the mutates variants to generate as well.
Edit: It might defeat the purpose, I was just thinking about it because I thought I was exploring a Mesa biome Buffet map and quickly realized without grass or dirt the map would be pretty tough to survive in (I'm not even sure I saw animals generate) but the Mesa Forest Plateau doesn't have the painted clay mountains that make the Mesa biome so great
You know what, that's what I wanted too. I want the ability to put all of the variants of one biome in. Like, all "frozen" biomes, so things like Ice Spikes and Frozen oceans will generate alongside Ice Plains and Frozen rivers. It may not be a true Buffet, but it'd still be nice to have the ability for a "themed" world. - To post a comment, please login.

Well if you did have stuff that produced taint, an ethereal bloom like that would sort of recycle the used vis at the cost of it's life and the materials needed to craft it, so I can see that happening...

I second this, this sounds fantastic!

I don't think we need more joke items, really >.>
The terrasteel wand caps being worse than iron was bad enough from Spiteful, we don't need Cheese Caps too

This is what modding has done for us.
We now think that an item appearing as all other vanilla items do, to be weird and not normal, as opposed to when it renders as a super high quality 3D model which is more out of place in the Minecraft game.
Azanor is amazing.

Ok, just checking. One time i tried to use just the staff core (and now the thaumonomicon entry for the primal core even has a reminder)

have you put wand caps on the staff core?

YES OMG I WANT A GLOWY KATANA
Please, Yorke? Just a little cosmetic recipe where you put some nitor with the blade?

This also happens if the staff has the glowing Primal Staff runes on it, causing the sword to turn into a pulsing gold and orange.

"MUSH, WISP, MUSH!"
That would be pretty great though, in all seriousness. Magic autopilot!

Thaumostatic Elytra?
Imagine. An Elytra powered by a Potentia Essentia (heh that rhymes) engine on your back (think Falcon from Avengers)!

I like the idea of being able to grow big magic crystals to increase aura in an area, like a single, extra large version of the current farmable aspect crystals. And the idea about 'focused magical light' could work a bit like the old Centivis system, but probably tweaked in a couple ways to fit the new mechanics.

OH MY GOD YES.
I hate the default river worldgen. SO MUCH. For all the same reasons you listed.
LOTS OF SUPPORT

I'm now wondering if certaim mixed rifts could recreate something like the nether and replace the whole biome the rifts are in with nethery blocks and mob spawns.
Example: Hell On Earth combo: Ignis rift, perditio rift, terra rift.
Ignis because fire and lava.
Perditio because demons and other "negative" things.
Terra because it changes the earth to be like the nether.

of course, doing this intentionally to provide some form of benefit would clearly need some way of presicely overloading three nodes in roughly the same area at roughly the same time. Maybe a Primordial Pearl could aid in controlling such a mechanism...

Maybe a more descriptive name would be Redstone Pulse, but yeah, I could get behind that idea. Could be handy!
