    Well if you did have stuff that produced taint, an ethereal bloom like that would sort of recycle the used vis at the cost of it's life and the materials needed to craft it, so I can see that happening...

    Unless of course, They kept growing as they purified, Absorbing the taint and using it as fuel for its growth. needing you to protect it only until its grown large enough.

    I'd imagine that if that was the case though it'd purify/grow in pulses. Building up a internal charge before releasing it, Immediately purifying nearby taint instead of gradually over several minutes. And eventually it'd grow into a great tree (that maybe have unique properties or materials that could be harnessed?), Absorbing taint until there's nothing left then starving and withering. This withering could even release captured/purified Vis into the air as well?


    I second this, this sounds fantastic!

    This is what modding has done for us.

    We now think that an item appearing as all other vanilla items do, to be weird and not normal, as opposed to when it renders as a super high quality 3D model which is more out of place in the Minecraft game.

    Azanor is amazing. :P

    1. When I have a staff/wand with a wand focus attached in my hand, and a sword of any of the three types in my inventory, the sheathed blade's shading changes color. (e.g. with a fire focus, it gets an orange shade, etc.)

    This also happens if the staff has the glowing Primal Staff runes on it, causing the sword to turn into a pulsing gold and orange.

    I like the idea of being able to grow big magic crystals to increase aura in an area, like a single, extra large version of the current farmable aspect crystals. And the idea about 'focused magical light' could work a bit like the old Centivis system, but probably tweaked in a couple ways to fit the new mechanics.

    I'm now wondering if certaim mixed rifts could recreate something like the nether and replace the whole biome the rifts are in with nethery blocks and mob spawns.


    Example: Hell On Earth combo: Ignis rift, perditio rift, terra rift.


    Ignis because fire and lava.


    Perditio because demons and other "negative" things.


    Terra because it changes the earth to be like the nether.

    of course, doing this intentionally to provide some form of benefit would clearly need some way of presicely overloading three nodes in roughly the same area at roughly the same time. Maybe a Primordial Pearl could aid in controlling such a mechanism...
