You know that someone is going to make a mod for Dolphin Armor now, and in a way that properly renders and everything too.

I just had a quick idea for Buffet maps, how about a check mark option for "Include variants", which allows for example: When selecting Mesa Biome, it also generates Mesa (Bryce), Mesa Forest Plateau, Mesa Plateau, and the mutates variants to generate as well.
Edit: It might defeat the purpose, I was just thinking about it because I thought I was exploring a Mesa biome Buffet map and quickly realized without grass or dirt the map would be pretty tough to survive in (I'm not even sure I saw animals generate) but the Mesa Forest Plateau doesn't have the painted clay mountains that make the Mesa biome so great
You know what, that's what I wanted too. I want the ability to put all of the variants of one biome in. Like, all "frozen" biomes, so things like Ice Spikes and Frozen oceans will generate alongside Ice Plains and Frozen rivers. It may not be a true Buffet, but it'd still be nice to have the ability for a "themed" world. - To post a comment, please login.

doesnt the ring need a Feather opposite the Air crystal, too?

actually, it's a problem of the vat not correctly allowing essentia to return to the jars after a self infusion. In my experience you MUST break-and-replace the tubes connecting your jars to the Vat each time you want a new infusion.

Alright, I'll do one final tweak, and we'll call that my personal set of textures for Alkimium. Thanks for all your feedback, though, it really helps me become better at figuring out how to make good textures for things.

this is still unconfirmed, unless az said something that I missed. And most people want to keep golems, but add wisps, so even then...

sounds like the bug that was fixed in the latest update. Update to beta 7 and check again.

Alright, these look much greener now, even though i only adjusted it by about 5 I did saturate it a bit more, and added a bit of brightness to them.

can confirm. Burn yourself at the stake for scie- i mean, Thaumaturgy.

All of these sound like good ideas to me, I will give the color a bit of darkening, since you're the second person to say it looks like a diamond material, and I do like that functionality for the Advanced Centrifuge, it seems more feasible. The slower processing of the Alkimium furnace also seems like a good balancing mechanic, and pausing fuel consumption would be great. Especially if it could be toggled by a redstone signal, that would give a lot of automation management potential. I'll edit this or perhaps make a new post with the darkened textures.

"After using Alchemical Brass for nearly the whole duration of my studies, I feel like I could step things up, especially now after having put it to so many practical applications. Looking through a wide variety of items, I've noticed that Potions and many Alchemical blocks and items contain a very peculiar aspect not mentioned in the old scrolls and books of olden thaumaturges: Alkimia. With Thaumium using Praecantatio and Ordo to enhance Iron beyond any mundane state, why not use Alkimia to enhance Brass a step further? I have dubbed this new substance Alkimium, and it serves to be more suited for alchemical items than plain brass."
"One of the first concepts I've drawn up with this new metal in mind is an upgrade to the Alchemical Furnace, replacing the brass on the inside and out with Alkimium, giving it a little boost in processing speed and a lower probability of turning a unit of essentia into Flux. In fact, Essentia seems much more stable in the presence of Alkimium. Perhaps this property can be explored further."
"Another idea I had while designing it was for a Centrifuge that would always produce both halves of a compound aspect every time it performed a centrifuging operation. This "Advanced" Centrifuge should prove useful when trying to centrifuge aspects down into a specific lower aspect, rather than making it a coin flip."
"Perhaps Alkimium can even be used as a Golem material. Brass sure seemed to work fine as a light and elegant material, but what will Alkimium give to these little mechanical assistants? After further study, it seems that golems built from Alkimium will move more swiftly... But something feels strange about their movements."
"Infusing a pair of Goggles with some Alkimium nuggets and a little extra Alkimia essentia has attuned them to the actions of my Alkimium-enhanced devices, and Essentia tubing. When looking at an Alchemical Furnace with Alkimium, I will see the stats for how many items it can cook with the fuel currently placed within, as well as its current processing speed, and the overall likelyhood that Flux will be released into the Aura. When looking at a tubeless essentia relay, it will display it's maximum range. When looking at a Jar of any sort, it will show me how much suction the jar currently has."
(Possible textures attached.)

pretty sure he might not have a TC6 API released yet... it IS still in beta.

Okay, fair enough. It is kinda turbulent right now, I can wait. Makes sense.
If you want to get some donations for this, a good idea would be to get a Patreon since you can have multiple donation tiers for different benefits.
But hey, that's just my two cents.

Hey! It's me again! Mr. Nether Steel!
I'm back with another material concept, but this time, as a little material add-on for Thaumcraft (maybe 6 if you can manage, but TC4 if not). I was looking at some materials in Thaumcraft 4's various addons and found Thaumic Bases' Thauminite as an interesting concept; further refinement of Thaumium to increase it's potential. So naturally, being the crazy warped thaumaturge I am, I decided to apply the technique to Void Metal, and came up with the concept of Abyss Metal, a bluer version of Void Metal. It's a bit more durable than void metal, still auto-repairs when used for tools and armor, gives a bit more Warping when used in tools and armor, but is a bit friendlier towards magic (higher Vis discounts and better enchant-ability). I have an ingot texture already, and I'm more than happy to design the sprites for other items that may be added to this once the basic concept is in place. I'll definitely make some tweaks to the Void Tools and Void Armor for Abyss Metal, to start with; if you do decide to try this out (if you're feeling better).
And of course I'll get some wand caps drawn if you make it for TC4.

Chiseled stone bricks, and Nether Bricks (in some form, i believe). Chiseled stone bricks is made with two stone brick slabs crafted vertically (like planks to sticks) and have... 1 ordo each? Unsure about the Nether Bricks.

this is probably because the nether is hot as hell (literally speaking) so the lava would be more molten, like warm honey.

Okay, the way that I see this idea is that he wants to give people a reason to craft gold tools and armor.
Right now, almost nobody will spend their gold to make them. Like you said, gold is best used for golden apples and mine-cart rails.
The purpose of this increase would be to make it worth the cost of a gold tool, for the better enchanting that it receives.
