I wanted to make a slime farm in my SMP, and asked my friend, who is the owner, for the coordinates for a slime chunk. He found a triple slime chunk, and marked the boundries of the slime chunks with cobblestone. I even had chunk borders turned on so I knew exactly where I was digging. I dug out an area that was 5 blocks tall on a Y axis of 16. I set up one killing pole to test it, and walked away for ~10 minutes. When I came back, there were no slimes in the area, and there was nothing in the collection hoppers I set up. I've lit up the area as well, so normal mobs can't spawn. Am I doing something wrong?
I recently have reset my PC, deleting all my files and such, and upon reinstalling Minecraft, I found that I cannot run the vanilla game at more than 5-7 FPS. My specs are a GTX 1060, an Intel Core i7, and 8GB of RAM. Before resetting my PC, I was able to run the game with many big mods including shaders. Now, I can't even run vanilla, no matter what settings. Anyone know why this happens, and is there a fix to it?
EDIT: I fixed the issue because it turned out that Minecraft was defaulting to use my integrated graphics chip on my laptop instead of the GTX 1060 I have installed. I set the global default to the 1060, and now it runs fine.
I launched my game in vanilla 1.10.2, and the game was in fullscreen, and I changed it to windowed mode. After I did this, I could not maximize the window, and relaunched the game. Now, I can resize the window all I want, but the buttons on the main menu do not work. They don't light up when I hover over them, nor do they work if I click them. The splash text is moving, so the game is running fine. I can't go to singleplayer, multiplayer, options or anything. Any fix?
I have an Alienware 15 R2 with an i7 core, and it can run games like GTA 5 on Very High settings just fine, but when I turn on certain shaders in Minecraft, sometimes I can get smooth 60 FPS, but most of the time, even with low shaders, I get <10. I don't get how sometimes it can run, but it doesn't most of the time. Any help with this?
This is the second time my LAN worlds stopped working. The first time, I fixed it by switching the wifi to private. Everything is still the same, but yesterday, my brother couldn't connect to me, but I could connect to him. Today, neither of us can connect to one another. It was a slow descent into being broken, again. Nothing has changed, just a descent into being broken. This time, there's a different error. Now, (giving as little information as last time) it says Connection refused: connect. This happens on any version, modded or not. Any help?
Yesterday, me and my brother were playing together just fine, but we had to delete a mod today, as it was causing crashes, and when we deleted it, I could connect to his world, but he can't connect to mine. Is there a way to fix this?
This issue isn't much of an issue, but I'd like it fixed. When I start a LAN world, I can see my skin and mu brother's skin. He can't see my skin, though. If he starts a world, he can see his skin and mine. I can't see his, though. This isn't an issue with the internet, as it's just the host's skin that cannot be seen. If there's any way to fix this, it would be appreciated.
Ok, I actually fixed the issue this time. The issue was that the wifi was set to a public network for some reason, but upon switching it to a private network like it used to be, we could connect. Thanks to everyone who tried to help, though!

I recently had to reinstall Windows, so I could try that, but it was doing this even before I had to do this, in which I already had done that.

When I try to get married in this, it says that I'm already married. The world is new, and I've tried using a whistle. Nothing seems to work.

Just reset the modem and router, still not working.

I think I was just being impatient that day, and that's why I said that.

Neither of us use the "xfinitywifi" hotspots, we use our actual home internet, and our router is ASUS, but it worked fine before.
