so is this like a list of mods what you can download and install with a click of a button?

It will download whatever mods you selected and inject them into Minecraft.jar.
I'm just trying to get a wide selection of many mods.

posted a message on ! I NEED YOUR MODS !
I've been working on a small-time project this past month that will allow users to download and install mods to their system much easier. As of right now, this project will only be available to those on Windows computers, but depending on amount of request, I'll later release a version for all operating systems. I haven't been as active as I'd like to be on these forums and I'm hoping that there isn't a program similar to this one. I've done some research and I can't find anything close. This program will allow you to download and install multiple mods at once, create an account with a favoring system, allowing you to look back on mods you really enjoyed and give minor feedback to the creators, and keep track of all the mods you've downloaded, all at the click of a button.

    Here's where you come in...

Sadly, this only applies to mod creators, so hopefully you're in the right place! I can't legally use your mod in my program without your consent. If you have created a mod and you're willing to give me the right to use it in my program, please follow these guidelines. Keep in mind, in no way am I asking for ownership of your mod. Not at all. In fact, I'm only asking that you give me permission to allow my 3rd party program to retrieve it from the internet. Now I know I don't need everybody's permission, but it's the right thing to do. If you're willing to accept the offer, follow this guideline. :)
    1. To get your mod as a top priority for this program, please send me information in a private message including the forum link and download link, and if you can, a short biography telling me about your mod.
    2. I WILL NOT ADD YOUR MOD IF IT ISN'T SENT TO ME BY THE ORIGINAL POSTER.
    3. Be sure to include something among the lines of: " I, _________ will allow MinecraftArt to use my mod in his 3rd party program, MineCollection".
What do I get out of it?
    1. You'll receive full credit for your work, as you should.
    2. If you're trying to get your mod more famous, this is the perfect tool for you. Sending in your mod will allow anybody who downloads it to see it. This is especially important to those new creators trying to make a name for themselves.
    3. If your mod is posted through an adf.ly link, the program will still send them through it.
    More Information...

So, you know what it is. But in order to help you further understand this program, I'll include some pictures.

That is the logo created for this program. As you can see, the title of this tool is MineCollection. It's called this for obvious reasons, "Mine" is referring to Minecraft and "Collection" as in a collection of mods. The 3 people inside are made to show that this is in fact a community project and to remind us that it wouldn't be possible without the support of the creators, like you.

When you first start up the program, this is what you'll come to. It has a very basic GUI, and keep in mind, I'm not very artistic, but this is the best I could do. If I could get somebody who's more talented in artwork, I'd love it. Three basic options arise when you enter the program. You have the choice to browse the mods, and inside that will allow you to also download them. You have a search function which will allow you to search for your desired mod quickly and download it from there, rather than browse through the (hopefully) many mods that we have. Lastly, you have an account section which looks like this:
You will create a username, as well as a password. Once completed with that you're free to login. It's very self-explanatory. Once you log in, the screen will then change to this:
Once again, future GUI changes will occur before the initial release. You have a favorites tab, which I mentioned before will allow you to recall mods that you specifically liked, as well as send your feedback to the creators. Then you have one massive home button, which will soon change to something else. I haven't really decided what just yet, but if you have any ideas. Shoot me over a PM, I'd love to hear. Lastly, you have a downloaded section which will keep track of the mods you downloaded for you.

That's about all I have for you today folks, any feedback is much appreciated.
Thanks and have a great day,
    -Luke

You'll do way better if you start over. Sounds harsh, I know. I'm sure you're wondering why, well, here it is.
Basically, the bottom line is that you're not original. I've seen that avatar in about 1,000 places and the recorder that you use to record your desktop is not good. I'd recommend Camtasia. One other thing is your username. It has nothing to do with what you've done.. Except for a few videos. AppleAppReviewer24 isn't original. You should try mixing things up. Like an adjective with a noun. Y'know what I mean?

Just try being a little more original. You'll do fine! :)

    Quote from Blockstar1117

Well then I'm stupid, but idk anything really(This is worst than my "Will Wooden Houses be useless when 1.8 comes" thread :( )

Dude, don't worry about if your thread is stupid or not. Believe me, in my years, I've seen much worse. However, I do find this thread to be quite interesting. Instead of ranting and going off on Chemistry jokes, how about we make it unique and actually add flavor? Like throw in some education to a topic. I'd love to be able to partake in an educational thread.

Let's talk about things we use in every day life but are unable to explain.. For example:
    • Why do onions make you cry?
    • Why does ice float?
    • What is the difference between radiation and radioactivity?
    • How does soap clean?
    • What common chemicals shouldn't be mixed? (Bleach + Vinegar; Bleach with Ammonia; etc).
    • Why do people put salt on icy roads?

All of these questions refer back to Chemistry, which makes the topic interesting.. Thinking about it -- I can't think of any occupation that doesn't involve some form of chemistry... Hmm, makes you think..

Anyways, I'm looking forward to further development on this thread.

I really doubt you're going to get anyone with all that. And as everyone said there's a very slim chance of the channel actually becoming famouse. You then slim it down more by essentially not letting anyone under 18 help as well. And you say it's "legally binding" so that essentially they can never stop working for you.... Have fun with that.

Your statement is about half true, but I still agree with you. He never actually stated that the applicants have to be under 18 years of age. Rather he just specifies that they MUST be able to record their device, have a crisp voice for commentating with an added sense of humor, and a 'speedy' computer. Also, the contract is most likely not a contract that keeps you working with him forever. If it is professional, which he seems to make a big deal about. Then the contract is most likely for a year, maybe two. I do like your thinking though. I know that he's not going to have any participants, I can call that one already.

Okay, don't take this the wrong way, but no. Sorry man. Your channel isn't professional in the slightest bit. Nothing about it is unique. You need something that stands out from the crowd. Something the average viewer doesn't see often. Your name (Zanee HD) isn't original. At all. I'm partnered with YouTube as well, in fact, I have been for almost 2 years now. I started my channel at around your age, and got partnered with the same amount of subscribers as you. After I got partnered, I decided to do a little bit of maturing/growing up before I continued further down my YouTube career. Knowing what I know now, I'm positive you don't make a lot of money. I'd guess it takes around, hmm, 2 months to breach the $100 minimum in order to be paid? Grant it, I do see your reasoning. You're wanting to be a big shot, which is completely understandable, and inviting people to join you is the quickest way possible. But it's honestly not going to work out. I'd love for you to prove me wrong, but I don't see you going very far with a channel like that. Switch it up some.

Good luck with your future plans,

    -Luke

    I agree too.

Anyways, I got into the Firefall Beta.
I've got 5 keys for Firefall and 2 keys for Dota 2. I'll need an email to send you Firefall, and a steam/email for Dota 2.

Do you think it'd be possible for me to pick up one of those Dota 2 Keys? If you're willing to give me one, I believe my steam is under the username of: BadVinegar
Or you could try my email: [email protected]

I'd really appreciate it man. :)

    Thanks in advance,
    -Luke

Also, I'll be willing to gift anyone on steam Dead Pixels. It's pretty fun. :D
Just send me a PM on HERE, with your steam details.

EDIT: I know Dead Pixels is a cheap game, but it's the thought that counts. It's Christmas time and money gets a little tight around here, so it's the best I can do right now. But I hope in the future to give out more expensive and better stuff! :)

Dead Pixels has been claimed by: Netherack Creeper.

    It's kind of useful..
But here is a list already. Also, this list gives you a brief description of each command.

Also, to apply all the commands, you could simply just put essentials.*

I do appreciate your little add on to the community, though. :)

    Thanks,

It's very interesting. I'll give you that. However, It's a bit difficult.. To be quite honest, lol. Took me a bit to fully understand the concept of this game, and I'm not exactly a slow person. I think you need to add a lot more. For instance, don't let the numbers run down so quickly. Also, it'd be nice if you had achievements. For example, if you reach 130 on a certain skill/attribute, then you unlock +20 gold. Get it?

    Good luck,

Hi, I'd recommend adding some pictures or possibly even a virus scan. You don't have many posts, and this causes some to be worried about downloading the program. Seems pretty cool, good job.

You know, there is something called an Anti-Virus program, you two.

Some people just don't like running the risk of downloading a virus, and having it bypass the anti-virus. Plus, it's not that difficult to add a virus scan and pictures to your forum thread. If it isn't a virus, then he'll have no problem doing such!

Sorry for a late reply. But this post would go to the factions page.

However, if you still want to post on the minecraft forums.
I'd recommend possibly The Survival Section.

Uhh, I wouldn't trust this. You notice everybody who is saying 'This is great!', 'Thanks so much!', are all people with 1 or 2 posts? It's very easy to create a new account.. It's probably fake. Not very much detail into what this program does.

So, if anyone is reading this, hold back. Don't download it just yet. Wait for a virus scan or some pictures..

    Good luck,
