You no longer dismount from the minecart/boat/pig you are riding when you log out of the game and log back in. The same goes for spider jockeys. That's what it is going to do.
So a bug fix, not a feature. -

Well, except for the usual bugfixes (and maybe the lightning engine if this god-damn thing will ever start to work) the Redstone Update is already finished. I see no reason why Dinnerbone shouldn't spare a few minutes of his time to include a new little feature which is both practical in regular gameplay, but also has many applications in custom maps.
How is this practical in any way for regular gameplay? What does this achieve?
For adventure maps - maybe some type of "boss" or something, but in regular single player, what is this going to do? -

Because the new riding mechanics surely took Dinnerbone 2 solid weeks to code and pushed back the release of the Mod API for another 3 months. And of course the official developers shouldn't change their game at all because there are people who write mods out there.
Wasn't dinnerbone hired to make the API, since he made the Bukkit API?
either way the API is basically a dream, i'm not sure i'll ever see it surface. it's been like a year or something now. -

They really aren't. First of all, You can't zip up your Xbox MC and put it on a flash drive and play it at school. Second, You can't Mod Xbox MC, and even if you could it would be hard to try and map Mod functions to a controller, which would greatly reduce the amount of mods that are able to be used.Thirdly, Noone cares about Xbox, and i mean that in regards to Minecraft. Noone is going to develop mods for Xbox, create tutorials on Xbox, or create texturepacks for Xbox. Fourthly, and i am a bit fuzzy on this, i don't think you can share saves, which is a personal favorite of mine (And is why they put in adventure mode). Fifithly, You won't be able to render near as much as i will be able to on my Desktop(Xbox 360 only has a GPU Clocking at 500mhz), or be able to process things as quickly(Xbox has Triple core, 3.2GHZ W/ DDR3 512 MB of RAM) Which is the main reason that it was developed for Desktop, not Gameboy, Nintendo DS, Xbox, Playstation, or Sony omega atari 3 orion or whatever its is old people are always talking about. It's just now coming out for android, and only really the Higher end devices can really play it effectivly, and even then it's pretty.. "light"

That's a problem with the Texture pack, not Optifine. They should come with a connected texture map that optifine will render when connected textures is turned on. Or i think even without it. Mine has a map, and it connected textures before i got optifine.

It's really not that big of a deal to me. I just was curious if there was a way to hot fix this, because I'd like to have both mods running. I'm failing to see how that is a 'Me' problem, but to each is own i guess.
Yeah, i asked the question there, and also found the answer (And posted it) and they gave me some ******** answer about how BTW is incompatible with everything or something, which it isn't because im running like 8 or 9 other mods flawlessly. After some Troubleshooting with the .class files of Optifine and BTW. I Tried taking out the acq.class file in Optifine, and replacing it with BTW's, as well as combing them and adding it to BTW, but it causes the Random Mob spawn option to break, and i don't really feel like decompiling and fixing these two mods, just for smoke.
Anyway lol, i love the BTW mod. It's so creative, and it's totally changed my minecraft experience. Great job Flowerchild. I hope you work out the T shirt issue because you can put me down for one.
Some mods will run with ModloaderMP or Rigsaumi's Modloader instead of forge. I know that i had a bunch of mods using Forge, and then i got BTW and switched to Those two, and they run flawlessly.

I have a small problem, and i'm sorry for any annoyance, but When i use Optifine with Better than Wolves' mod, smoke doesn't work. Like from the Furnace, and torches. It's the only problem, and Magic Launcher is telling me that there is Two errors. Is there any way to fix this? Any Help would be appreciated greatly.

It's the mod, I just renamed the Zip, so i know what it is. I have re downloaded it, in fact i've re downloaded it multiple times. It always happens about 4 - 5 minutes after using any of the trains, and then pressing 'E' and scrolling down. As I scroll down, it stops and gives me that. It's very puzzling, because I've used this mod before this version without any errors.
I've also downloaded multiple versions of Forge, and I've even tried putting mod-loader in (Re downloading .minecraft after every attempt)

I'm not sure if this has been a problem that anyone else has had, and I don't know what's wrong, i've been using this mod for a really long time.
I've tried fresh Re-update of Minecraft.jar, and as well as .minecraft folder.
About 4-5 minutes after using any of the trains, if i go into the Block menu in creative mode, it crashes and gives me this error:

Some of the Mod names might look weird, i have an Index system of mods, and that's how i keep track. Anyways, i know optifine isn't the problem, because i've turned it off, and redownloaded the .minecraft folder.
Could it be a MCforge problem? I've searched around and done my fair share of research, and i'm out of ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
