posted a message on Burning Challenge

So I was inspired by the burning maps popularmmos makes and decided to try my hand at it but I wanted to make it a little different. What I wound up with was a pretty cool map in my opinion where you choose one of three classes spend time gathering resources and then try to build a structure to survive longer than your opponent while lava rains down on you or you can just try to beat your high score since it will tell you how long you survived. There are three possible places to collect resources so far plan on adding more soon.

Feel free to post your high scores for each difficulty here beware though extreme is pretty tough

posted a message on Skeleton Offhand?

Yeah so what you might want to do is set up four command blocks on repeat unless you want them on a delay clock which would prevent some command block spam if command block output is false but just use these for commands on repeat.

    1. /execute @a ~ ~ ~ /replaceitem entity @e[type=Skeleton,r=4] slot.weapon iron_sword

    2./execute @a ~ ~ ~ /replaceitem entity @e[type=Skeleton,r=4] slot.weapon.offhand bow

    3./execute @a ~ ~ ~ /replaceitem entity @e[type=Skeleton,r=20,rm=4] slot.weapon bow

    4./execute @a ~ ~ ~ /replaceitem entity @e[type=Skeleton,r=50,rm=4] slot.weapon.offhand iron_sword

    Hope this helps

posted a message on 1.9 Vanilla SkyBlock With Shop

So this is a map I created because I was not a huge fan of most Skyblock servers and preferred to play single player. However, I really liked the concept of having a shop to buy things you wouldn't normally be able to get in Skyblock. So I decided to just make one now it may need some adjusting but I just thought I'd post it. This was designed for 1.9 but should work for all except one of the villager trades may be glitchy. To access the shop just click the sign on the bedrock and click the home sign to return. Would love some feedback and any trades you guys think should be added

posted a message on Arkandian Games In Minecraft

Hey guys so I'm sure some of you are familiar with the awesome set of flash games called the arkandian games which are a 2D dungeon crawler type game and if you aren't I highly encourage you to play the first one here:

    http://armorgames.com/play/10175/arkandian-crusade?via-search=1

Anywho I was just wondering if you guys think this would be a good map idea I thing that with the new texturing with data values it poses I good opportunity for some cool 'new' items and I think that it would lend itself quite nicely to a minecraft map the biggest problem I think would be working out the combat system.

So I was just curious if there would be support for a map like this game and if you have any ideas on either how things should work or items that should or shouldn't be included it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

P.S. You should really play the game if you haven't its one of my all time favorites.

posted a message on 1.9 Ender Dragon Challenge

Your suggestion was to use beds when among the items I listed was eight beds why would I have that if I didn't already know this fact and the snowballs are not to damage the ender dragon besides in 1.9 the dragon keeps charging even after one hit they are to destroy the end crystals that are not caged, and I assure you it is still possible to kill the ender dragon using these materials just difficult.

Use beds, they damage a lot. They are also easy to make in early game

I would appreciate if you read the whole post before just making a pointless suggestion which from reading the post is already common knowledge when this thread is clearly looking for a more specific description of a strategy

    Quote from rodabon»

Given that I haven't done the fight, have you thought about bringing any ender pearls collected during the run to use to teleport over to another caged crystal nearby to save time?

I may consider doing this but it depends on if they fix the fight or not because currently the ender dragon accidentally kills enderman when it does a charge attack and the enderman it kills drop ender pearls so it may be worth doing though I'm not sure if its worth the fall damage but there is the huge healing buff now that just comes from eating so maybe it won't be such a big deal. Thank you for the suggestion will try that.

posted a message on 1.9 Ender Dragon Challenge

Well my current strategy is to pillar up all towers with iron bars on top with leaves then mining one iron bar and throwing a snowball through it to destroy the end crystal and then placing the water down for a second and then picking it back down and jumping into the falling water after this I go through and throw snowballs at the unprotected crystals from the ground after this I wait till the dragon goes and hovers on the portal I put two cobble on top of the bedrock on the portal and then place a bed on top a cobble in front of you and then click it. this does about a sixth of the damage to the dragon however there is a lot of room for error with this strategy. The major one is pillaring up the spires is very dangerous and makes you an easy target for the ender dragon to knock off. Another is that the beds explosion can easily kill you, not to mention staring accidentally at any enderman is virtually a death sentence, and that makes this not such a good strategy and I was hoping someone here could come up with a more reliable strategy.

posted a message on 1.9 Ender Dragon Challenge

Hello so I'm trying to work out a speed run strategy for 1.9 but the Ender Dragon fight is giving me a lot of trouble. I was wondering if anyone could develop a working strategy for killing the 1.9 ender dragon fight using just the following:

    -3 stacks of 64 leaves

    -8 beds

    -an iron sword

    -a stone pickaxe

    -22 cobblestone

    -9 cooked pork chops

-full iron armor except for leggings

    -a water bucket

    -64/4 stacks of 16 snowballs

Thanks for your help and if you could upload a video it would be much appreciated and I assure you this is not an easy task to complete.

posted a message on 1.9 Speedruns

Hi so I was just curious what you all thought about how speedruns would change post 1.9. With the huge revamp of the ender dragon fight, specifically the crystals protected by iron bars, it makes the fight significantly more difficult and longer. This got my thinking that perhaps there would have to be an entire new set of speed running categories for post 1.9 since a lot of things have changed. I was curious to hear other peoples thoughts and opinions on the subject.

posted a message on 1.9 Question about texturing armor

That was kinda the point is that it's only real benefit would be as a mapmaking tool and to equip the armor with unbreaking similar to how you can change the texture of a diamond sword based on duribility to allow for a thousand different weapons with there own unique textures and I was hoping to do something similar with armor but I guess it wouldn't work out and I guess what I'm really wondering is is there a way so that when armor is at a certain durability it uses a different .png In the armor folder for the texture of the worn armor though from what your telling me this seems to be impossible

posted a message on 1.9 Question about texturing armor

Thanks for the help I was hoping it would be a little simpler than because I was thinking if I could just find the portion of the code which chooses which of the armor layouts to use if I could change it to use a different .png image but I guess not thanks anyway
