The only, ever reason mystcraft 152(not 3.0.5.105) shouldnt work with latest versions of forge is if they removed part of the API of Forge. (3.0.5.105 is non FML, and 3.1.7.152 is with FML)
and ive tested it before, mystcraft works with version 174(latest before 1.3, then 1.3.1, then 1.3.2)

its a great idea, been tossed around many many times, its just that it almost always modifies base class's, and everyone knows, anything that modifies base class's, isnt ever used at all(besides forge, modloader, anything with API or NEI or TMI...)

could you try, instead of having it edit the jar, use forge 4.x pl0x
Releasing the .minecraft folder is illegal, but, IF legal action is taken towards someone for releasing a copy of it, then its a big problem, but many, if not everyone in the minecraft community approves of McNostalgia as it keeps almost all minecraft.jar's(last i checked). and no legal action has been taken towards it, since its doing a GREAT favor for everyone in the community.
Notch knows about it, but refuses to taken legal action to "take it down", why? because its a very useful tool for everyone.

Can I get some help? When I have NEI enabled in MagicLauncher, with no plugins, it will crash asking for the Forestry Addon. I add the Forestry Plugin and Forestry, then it asks for Equivalent Exchange Addon. I put that on with EE and the game loads fine. Until I try to open my inventory. I crash with the error:

i just have a few things to say to you, dont use magic launcher... use MultiMC. second of all, did you make sure the magic launcher knows where to place the files? as of codechickencore 0.5.5 goes in mods folder, and modules go into mods folder, only thing that goes into jar now is the not enough items mod.
id just like to say, PK's Boombox beat you to the whole "no records" thing... only thing that i personally find interesting about your mod, is that its MP3 Compatible, not many mods can do that without altering/making incompatibilities with ic2, redpower and other major popular mods.
IM NOT SAYING this is compatible with them, what im trying to say is that many other modders tried, and failed, and i honestly think you have to without altering the actual sound engine. hence, making this mod incompatible with other, major mods.

you have your source code up to grabs, but you said that you "cannot redistribute this this mod in any way or form".
ONCE source code is up to grabs for all to see and have, you are permitting people to do what they wish to your mod, in any way or form, and redistribute it.
your mod is also not covered under the copyright of 1996-2012. so you cant control weither it goes into a modpack or not.
