This mod is clearly NOT for you. As for me i like physics part, but i disabled it because i don't want every block to fall down, i was hoping for terrafirmacraft physics system, where most raw building materials fell and bricks and processed stones (with mortar) did not. Custom mobs should not die unless you define them to die.

I love everything else about this mod, its just carrying leaves around in your pocket so you can breathe underground and carrying flowers to keep you sane doesn't make a lot of sense while the rest of the mod does. For example, I love the idea of cold and dirty water, and your thirst going up when you're hot, and the block physics are awesome because I've always been annoyed at how unrealistic buildings can be. Its just those two things that bug me because they're unrealistic.

This mod looks cool, but the leaves and flowers things to deal with oxygen and sanity seem silly. I mean, now in addition to all our other mining gear we need to bring leaves, shears(to re-collect leaves), flowers, and dirt? And I'm cool with bringing cold water to the Nether, but bringing all that also and having to stop every few minutes to recollect myself seems a bit much. Especially when those missions to search for Nether Forts can take AGES.

For sanity I'd just have it regenerate as time goes on that you're NOT around mobs or faster if you're in a well lit area, and it goes up alot after you sleep, to encourage people to actually use their beds.

I'm not sure how I'd do the oxygen-leaves thing, but placing leaves down all the time is just to much.

I made an airship with Archimedes Airships using Thaumcraft blocks in my survival world. Thought I'd share some pictures of it.First up, a profile of the ship.Next, how it looks from the helm. This one's really just to show the name. O.H.W stands for "Order of High Wizardry".Finally the interior. I built this thing to take me to my bean farm about 2 kilometers away, so I included a furnace to break down my beans into essensia, a pedestal for recharging my wand, a research table for on-the-go studies, 2 chests to hold any and all cargo I need, some arcane lamps for good lighting, and a bed for sleeping. Basically a mobile base, took me about 4 days to gather the resources and build it.

    *Edit*

    A night-view.

Yeah, looks like the community will have to do the heavy lifting on this one. At least Jeb is aware of and open to the idea, so long as an implementation that satisfies his goals and needs is presented to him. Lot's of work to do. ;)

In my mind, even with massive public backing CC wil ltake a log time after 1.7 to become vanilla. CC alone is just an accessory to improve performance, the real meat of it is the potential it opens up not only with creative mode building but better terrain in survival. It wouldn't make much sense for Mojang to add CC in one update then release terrain related stuff the next one (several months later). It makes more sense they'd do both at once. And since they just updated terrain, updating it again so soon would not only require alot of work they didn't plan on doing, but it would upset the haters. The haters would decend upon the community like locust on a corn field.

Episode 2 of todays Thaumic Adventures!! Soon after returning to my hut, for reasons unknown to me I decided I was going to throw half a stack of gravel and a stack of cobblestone into my crucible because I wanted to see the affects of flux in this version as the aspects degraded. So as it turns out.. .that wasn't a good plan. Several blocks worth of flux goo and about 1 minute resulted in this mother.
Notice that I'm almost dead after the rush to escape my house as this thing grew.

    god why......

    -----Update------
    Its gotten worse...
I attempted to venture into the nexus of the issue; my alchemy room

    Oh god the infestation....

Oh look, he has a friend!!

I also died in the alchemy room, leaving my stuff downstairs on the ground. How am I now going to combat these behemoths that I was unable to kill even with my full armor and weapons?

Thaumcraft keeps crashing. I'm not running any other mods to conflict with it, and reading the report, I think 2 items in thaumcraft are using the same ID. I have the latest versions of Minecraft, Thaumcraft, and Forge.

    Quote from DurzaMC

    Has mojang seen this?

    Short answer: Yes.

Longer answer: We're not sure to what extent. Dinnerbone referred to this on his twitter a few weeks ago now when someone tweeted at him that cubic chunks would make amplified terrain less laggy, and he replied he didn't think that cubic chunks would fix that problem (some people disagree, saying it WOULD make amplified more smooth). As far as I know, that's the only reference made to this by a Mojang Employee. If any of them have fully read the post, and if they are even considering the idea, we don't know. That's one of the goals of the mod; prove how well this can work and that it can work, and to spread awareness. (And maybe make it less work on their part if they decide to implement it because the code is already there for them.)

posted a message on Ender Dragon egg in the over world?
    Quote from SVGK

yes, they are decent, but a ridable dragon mount hatched by the egg.... from the start it is game breaking, unfair and works in the favor of the worst kinds of people, because there is one dragon egg only, so ONE player on the server will have the ONLY mob of it's kind on the server, and it will likely have a unique and good use, so that will be even worse.

so assuming that, one, it exists, and two it is vaguely useful and unique, without even thinking of what it does, it is overpowered, broken, supports thieves and abusive admins, is unoriginal, is horribly negative towards all new players and massively unfair to everyone.

the only good suggestion i have ever seen for the dragon egg, was by coalshower, and this was it, it benefits everyone, is fair, not overpowered or cliche, is original and, adds a new aesthetic block.

but judging by jebs clear rpg mentality thus far with horses, he will do the wrong thing and make them mounts.

You're assuming that Mojang is mentally retarded if you think this is what'll happen. They're proffessionals and they won't break the game. If red dragons are coming, they'll be a new boss mob, not tamable. I don't agree with horses, but that didn't break the game. And Jeb didn't add it to service fans, he did it because he said he was going to a long time ago and finaly got around to it.

I noticed a few people mentioning that they want proper mountains, so I figured I would post these pictures I got a couple of days ago for anyone that hasn't seen anything similar. This is a savannah M biome on default generation.

    http://gyazo.com/2b6...03547f01f3135ce
    http://gyazo.com/25c...595dc77c5fcde67
    http://gyazo.com/d01...5ee3b709ffa5342

The max height there is 202, which is reached by the top of the trees and also the little floating bit of land.
I would love if we could get similar rare formations in most other biomes and perhaps a rare mountain biome too, but its great to see the increased world height finally being put to use.

Those pictures are an example of the cap of what vanilla Minecraft can allow, which 1.7 will better realize. This is closer to what I consider actual mountains.

Realistically, what Minecraft has now are hills.

(These pictures are taken from the thread about Cubic Chunks, and are screenshots of a cubic chunks mod currently in development. I'm not saying 1.7 needs what's in these pictures, that's impossible. This is just what I hope Minecraft looks like someday.)
