I made this guy a couple days ago because I was bored and didn't feel like finishing my essay. I didn't bother to edit or finish it, so I just drew the Demon's Souls logo and called it a day.

Well, the reason why it looks un-detailed is because I started out zoomed in max, started drawing and finished there, and then I resized them to a viewable area. I'll keep in mind of your suggestion, though. c:
You can still add a lot more detail even with it being pixel art. One thing you might want to work on is not using black for the outline but rather, use a different shade of the color that the outline is on. I'd suggest looking at a few tutorials on color palettes and shading. Once you have a basic understanding of those things, it's not too difficult to make something that's better than mediocre
Hope no one considers me unoriginal, but The Streets of Whiterun from Skyrim would have to be my pick(or at least the only one I can think of off the top of my head).
For the most part, I'm only willing to spend $30-$40 for a console/(non-indie)PC game and as for handheld games, I'm not comfortable spending more than $20. $40 for a handheld game is ridiculous to me.
So they are talking about how Simon and Lewis are bad, not how the others are bad. So the others are off topic, Ipso facto, your post is off topic.
Ummmmm...right? But, if you read the title, it's "WHY IS THE YOGSCAST SO POPULAR", the Yogscast includes BlueXephos(Simon and Lewis) YogscastSjin, YogscastSips, Yogscastlalna, along with a few other channels. Thus, my post is on topic because it's talking about the Yogscast. If it were "Why Is BlueXephos So Popular" or "Why Are Simon and Lewis So Popular" then yes, my post would be off topic, but neither of those are the title of this thread. What's going on in the thread is generalization, which is generally unfair and ignorant.
I've learned my lesson from Minecraft when it comes to playing games before it's finished and officially released. By the time the game is finished, despite a couple new features, I'm bored with it. I'd much prefer to get the whole, finished game all at once rather than a few updates every once in a while until it's release.
Notch tweeted "The level height in Minecraft now depends on a single field in the Level class, for easier modding. The default will remain 128, though."

What program are you using? I can give you advice on how to make them larger without having them come out blurry depending on what you're using.

I also did this portrait for someone I watch on Twitch.
That's awesome Squidling, I really like it.

I've found these tutorials to be very helpful.
