posted a message on Those people in the Minecraft community you hate

Very recently, I played with some guy who spent more time bragging and saying "KID" than playing the game itself. After a game, I said gg but he just said "why gg, camper!". It's these people who make playing a simple game on a server not fun anymore.

posted a message on Is Minecraft Dying...?

I'm pretty sure that minecraft is not dying. It may not be at its most popular times with all the update arguments and the community, but minecraft is still a popular game that people still play. :)

posted a message on Gold Ingot | Should it be removed?

What are your views on Gold in Minecraft? Is it absolutely useless?

What ways have you found to make it useful?

Actually, gold is useful for a lot of things, such as clocks, powered rails, and golden apples.

posted a message on Energy bar
    Quote from trombonegamer»

I think it would be cool if the developers added an energy bar, similar to the one in minicraft. Activities such as mining, fighting, swimming or sprinting should use energy and when you run out of energy you momentarily freeze or get slowness. This idea I think kind of branches off the idea of the attack indicators and will make the game just a little harder, but in a fun way. It also adds just a bit more realism to the game.

I don't think players should have to deal with an another bar going down, and not all games need realism.

posted a message on Let it go, it’s time to stop updating
    Quote from brakenwagen»

It’s time for Mojang to stop with all the updates and leave the future of the game in the hands of the mod community. Mojang had a good run with Minecraft but at this point it getting sad and frustrating. Minecraft has one of the best modding communities ever rivaled only by the original doom and Bethesda.

But while Bethesda and Id eventually finished their projects and went on to make new games Mojang has been continually and needlessly updating Minecraft killing mods in the process. This is bad for the longevity of the game. Imagen if you woke up tomorrow and out of nowhere Morrowind updated and now all the old mods don’t work. Now all the old mod authors have to come back and update their work most wouldn’t even bother. And who could blame them for abandoning the mods it’s not like you get paid and for all they know the game could update again and again locking them in an endless cycle. We even have an example in Skyrim special edition.

When Skyrim special edition was revealed many criticized it as pointless saying all the stuff it does can be done with mods and they were right. Now look at what they have to deal with waiting for all the mod authors to update if they update at all and there always be some mods that will never update because the people who make these mods have lives of their own and don’t intend to make mod forever. If you want to make something new than make a new game or a sequel but don’t go resting on your laurels fracturing your mod community in the process.

In doom I can play mods from 20 years ago and they still work (with a few exceptions) can you say the same for Minecraft. Now that’s not to say the other mod communities are perfect there was a chaotic time for the doom mod scene when various source ports were competing for dominance but that time has passed and things are relatively stable with gzdoom. In fact some of those exceptions I mentioned are getting updated by the fans because everyone knows the community is probably going stay with gzdoom.

But Minecraft has become stall, the updates don’t do it anymore (why do I have still have to install mods for a stupid chair and table after all this time?) but the mods (which do let me have a chair and table) keep getting broken by them. Mojang is hurting its own product and refusing to grow as a company or in this case as a subsidiary of Microsoft. (Also no I’m sick and tired of using stairs as a substitute and I don’t like my tables to click when I get close to them.)

It's not Mojang's fault you use mods, and you could just use a older version of Minecraft. (Go to the minecraft launcher and go to edit profile.)

posted a message on We need stack-able potions.
    Quote from MLGKaKaKid»

Potions need to be stack-able in order to make combat easier and better. They should be stack-able up to 100.

If potions were stackable, they should only go up to the default 64.

posted a message on Clever Minecraft Pranks

A good prank is to dig out the floor about 15 blocks deep in their house, so they come home and question why there's a giant crater in their house.

(P.S: One day someone is going to do all of these pranks on one person and get them very angry :P )

So on the topic of this game, there is a way to 'Break out" of the game's barriers using the '+' key. Doing this, you can access the church and more.

That's only if you have the cheat system downloaded (I forgot the name)

Yes I know that, and I think it shouldn't matter whenever the creeper is low health or not.

Creeper should try to avoid hot blocks like magma lava fire and lit furnaces. If a creep is lit on fire when it has low health left it will start to blow up. After blowing up they may leave fire.

1: All mobs should avoid lava and fire
2: Creepers running away from furnaces would be weird, but maybe a good feature?
3: If a creeper were to leave fire after explosions, I think health shouldn't matter.

posted a message on Merge with Roblox
    Quote from Kirbyguy»

It's sad that you guys can't see the benefits from this. Minecraft would receive more players because we all know it's dying out, so it's a win for Minecraft AND a win for ROBLOX because they receive more players.

1: Minecraft isn't dying at all, It's just not at it's highest popularity.
2: Combining Minecraft and Roblox would make both of their community hate the game, and the companies would lose fans quick. To be honest, it would probably be a lose for both teams.

It's quite complicated in a sense. The dev has built different alpha stages, each with different stories. Basically the dev built a foundation with a story, then scrapped it and did another. Then scrapped that one.

Tiny Build said that Pre-alpha and Alpha 1 were "scrapped" versions, so I imagine the story was changed in Alpha 2 too.

posted a message on Skeletons shoot infinite arrows but only drop one?

I just wanted to point out how Skeletons can shoot infinite arrows, but when you kill them they only drop one. Also, the bow they hold most of the time doesn't have a enchantement shiny effect thing on it, so it can't have the infinity enchantment on it.

This isn't something that bothers me, but I just wanted to point it out because it's weird.
