You might want to double check that you're reading in your config file properly. The config file says DoublePistonID=3095 but...

Edit: Edited the old config (MorePistons.cfg) didn't notice the new config file (MontyPyon.cfg). Problem solved.

MultiMC found a block or item ID conflict. forestry.core.gadgets.BlockSoil and morePistons.BlockDoublePistonBase are both using the same block ID (4095)

Wow! Thank you! Do you know where I could contact anyone from BuildCraft 3, Industrial Craft 2 (those who make the addons for it), RedPower 2, RailCraft, and Forestry, or is there a forum I should request it from?

Since I'm eager to see Forge support for this mod, I would suggest heading over to MinecraftForge (Modder Support Section)

    irc.esper.net #minecraftforge is another option.

Guess I'll just have to wait until he Forge website is back up.

I think they thought of that.

"In the event of a outage to the file server (files.minecraftforge.net), kendfinger has been kind enough to set up a mirror of all the Forge files.
    It can be found here:
    http://ken.wingedboo...craftforge.net/ "

Also, if installing mods is not your thing, you should consider MultiMC. Easy to use with direct downloads for Forge and LWJGL, easily down/upgrade to any version of MC, detailed error logs, no need to worry about MET-INF stuff, drag and drop install virtually any mod, multiple instances, etc. Really it's a no brainer for even the most experienced users.

Puny human, the vast power of coremods would be wasted if you in your ignorance dropped them into /mods/. Thus, my holy scripture commands a minimum of involvement by the faithful

    And good holidays to you

I got a good laugh out of that, probably because I imagined some old, impatient, wizards voice saying it. Cheers :)

Computercraft not only has its own thread, it also has its own forum, and its own wiki. So no, this is not the right place.

posted a message on [1.5.1] Double Door Mod v4.6 [Forge]
    Quote from kirsybuu

Glad you like it, Xordaii. I'm sure you can all appreciate that my mod is now updated to 1.4.6.

Forge news: The design of Forge discourages changing the core game files, which makes it infeasible for me to directly port my mod. The only option I have is to make new blocks (door, trap door, fence gate) that have the double door functionality.

You guys who want a forge version are probably ok with new blocks, but it also brings up some design decisions. Should the recipes for these blocks just be variations on the normal recipes? Should you craft two normal doors together to make two double doors? Or maybe a special item which you craft with the normal door that makes it a double door? Can you undo the recipe? What should the textures of the blocks be? I'm open to ideas. ^_^

I'm not a programer, nor delved into the inner workings of Forge to much, but I was under the impression that you could ask them to implement hooks into the base classes you need to make it work? Either way , I like the idea of crafting two doors together for a double door, wood and iron variants is all you need.

Nope, we'll just brand them as people that can't read. Her twitter clearly states the she will consider uploading 1.4.5 if other mods don't update in a timely fashion; it DID NOT say she will update if enough people whine about it. L2Read.

You drag everything from the archive's /setup/ and drop it into ./minecraft/. My terminology is flawless.

While I wouldn't normally dare question the great AtomicStryker, but I can count on exactly one finger how many of my fifty or so mods I need to 'extract' in order to 'drag and drop'. Maybe it's time to enter the MultiMC age, and package your mods accordingly? Or not.

Mod authors rely on deobfuscation of the Minecraft source code to get anything done. That they prevent others from doing the same to their own source code is nothing short of hypocrisy.

Minecraft doesn't obfuscate their code to prevent modding - they do it to prevent theft, which is the exact same reason modders do it.

    There is ZERO hypocrisy involved.

The descriptions are too long to fit in the tooltip (already considered this :P ). But to do it like CTII would cause an issue with the NEI overlay

Thanks, too bad about the tooltip length... how much room do you have to work with, 128 bytes? And one last question, then I promise to stop pestering you :) When using NEI, pressing 'o' hides the overlay, would you be able to do your own screen drawing while NEI is hidden, or is NEI still in control of the screen even when it's hidden?

does anyone know a good way to get enderperlrs for "wireless redstone chickenbones edition"?

Go to the The End...? Mob farms? Hunt in the desert (hard for them to hide)?

    Quote from MiK3gamer

and please don't come up with Equivalent Exchange. that's kind of a cheat-mod that's not supposed to be used for a Let's Play Series

That depends on how often you plan on uploading a video, and how long those videos will be, and/or how much time you plan on editing the video. My guess is you haven't done a LP before, for Minecraft at least, and don't realize how much time can be saved by simple things like converting cobble to smooth (something your viewers won't want to watch you do manually) Direwolf puts out a video a day, Monkeyfarm puts one out a week, sometimes less. One of them uses EE, take a guess which.
