I wish people would stop and think for a second.


Location: There are several reasons for selecting Vegas. A) It's a tourist hotspot, so when you book to go to Minecon, you're probably going to spend some time in the town, I.E. Do the Hangover. (What the heck, it could be fun!) It's a known place, other than Ggauogsj in a limited community. C) Go big or go home, Mojang want to become Icons. They don't want to sit behind a desk for the rest of their lives with one hit to their name.

Gifts: It's probably more than cardboard recreations. My guess is the "Free" stuff they are handing out is most likely shirts and clothing, with possible alpha version codes of their upcoming projects. There might even be free food.

I'm a huge fan of Minecraft, and I like big company games. If it weren't for certain problems, I'd go. (Namely lack of cash, and I'm busy with personal projects: My novels.)

(P.s. Blizzcon is more expensive, somewhere near 500$.)

Find an abondoned mine. Clean out the cobwebs and spider spawners and turn it into a house with a mine attatched to it.

When we were originally discussing the idea, I had an idea for a trap that you can build with it.

And now with the pistons that were added, I could make an unescable trap using them, if they were added.

This a repost of an idea I had months ago. It recieved lots of support and quite a few suggestions from people to make it what it is.

Here it is the Sea-Strangler.

It is blue and looks a like a squid with for tentacles instead of 8, and has a head similar to that of the Creeper.

It doesn't explode, but instead wraps around you, dragging you underwater and crushing you at 1/2 a heart per sec an the only way to get it off is to hit it in its screaming, rotating, blue head. The scream attracts hostile mobs, and scares neutral and friendly ones.

It also drags you closer to other Sea-Stranglers. Please note: More than one can entangle you at a time.

If it kills you. It eats you and whatever item you hand in your hand at that time.

It swims in the water and only in water, hence the name.

It has 8 Hearts.

It spawns from special blue coloured Seaweed or in water during the night.

Sounds A-OK to me.

Anouther idea:
Redstone Burner: A redstone powered burner.
Crafting: Four Stone, a F&S, and a Redstone Torch.
Use: For traps. When a circuit is connected to it and lit it ignites. It won't ignite if something is directly above it.

The sparker replaces the clock circuit and pulse circuit.

I'm always having trouble with them. I don't have near enough space to set them up.

I build large floating cities. I don't have the room or patience to set them up, so it would be easier if like the Redstone repeater you could make a smaller form.

New ideas:

Redstone Sparker: Creates a pulse at random or set intervals.
Crafting: Crafted using a Redstone Torch, Iron Ingot, and a F&S.
Use: Could be used to create timed systems, would be much easier than making a clock or pulse restone circuit.

Redstone Arcer: Makes an electrical jump from one Arcer to anouther.
Crafting: Crafted using a Redstone Torch, Gold Ingot, and a F&S.
Use: Could be used to make a electric system that requires limited redstone dust, or as a defense grid as trying to pass through the arc would deal 0.5 hearts of damage. The Arcers would need to be within 4 squares of each other. The arc would appear as a red electric stream.

3 simple steps to follow:

1: Don't post ideas without spell checking.
2: Check the board for the suggestion your about to post.
3: Test you theory in real life. Would an arrow set of a piece of tnt in REAL LIFE.

My idea:

Redstone tripwire: A single use item to be used for traps.
Crafting: Crafted from two redstone torches and a string.
Use: Right click to place first torch then right click again to place second, The second can only be placed within 5 blocks of the first and must have nothing blocking it. After both are placed a faint grey line extends between them. Steppingthrough the cord causes both torches to activate the circuits they are connected to. The torches are reobtainable, but string is lost.

I will post more as I go along, so don't worry.

I can't believe these threads are still running. It's an awesome idea and it's awesome it's stayed on so long.
