Could we get a manual install version so that it could be installed using MultiMC (which I'm already using to install a ton of other mods and can't afford to mess up or remove)? Besides, I don't want Rei's Minimap. Surley it wouldn't cost you an arm and a leg to also provide access to the indivudual mods you used in this mod pack. You already have them, just upload them!
Just take the Feed the Beast edition of The VoxelModPack and put it in Multi-MC.
...i am using the FTB VoxelModPack v 9.6 i believe, and it says it loads all of the mods properly, ... but when it comes to actually using the GUI i get nothing but errors. ... "unknown command. try /help for a list of commands" ...
The latest version of The VoxelModPack is v9.4. The VoxelSniperGUI only works on servers that have the VoxelSniper plugin installed. VoxelSniperGUI was foolishly coded so that one can still open it in situations where the VoxelSniperGUI it is not available. Now that I have assigned VoxelSniperGUI to one of my developers, it will be receiving an overhaul. Once updated, it will properly notify you when VoxelSniper is not available instead of displaying error commands.
Not sure if this is a bug or something im doing wrong, Im using MultiMC and installed the VoxelMod pack using the .exe (Telling it where my instance is) and It works and when I run it its all fine. But as soon as I add MinecraftForge it seems to stop the VoxelMod pack from loading.
The VoxelModPack should work properly with Forge, not exactly sure what is happening on your end.
I've been having the same problem on the latest mod pack through the FTB launcher. When I change it to a server that uses a port, it keeps coming up with the unknown host error.
It has come to my attention that that was never fixed. We will correct that for 1.4.6.
Just start minecraft, click options, and run a "Force Update". Your game will return to vanilla after the force update is complete.
If you would like to use the latest VoxelModPack via a launcher, grab a copy of the Feed The Beast Launcher. It offers a similar experience to previous launchers.
We are very likely to start patching improvements into VoxelSniperGUI in the near future. It is a matter of assigning it to a team memeber who is interested in continuing development of it.
I'm curious, will there also be a 1.4.4 release? I'm not yet ready to update to 1.4.5. I know... I know... it's bad form to ask about an older update, but until Simo gets SPC updated to 1.4.5 in his dev release, I'm not willing to update. I need WorldEdit commands for my current project.
Nearly all mods made for 1.4.4 should be compatible with 1.4.5, check to make sure you can't just use the current SPC with 1.4.5.
StrongBad,
This installer simply is not working on my mac. I hit next, and I don't see a list of mods to select or de-select, or even an error. I just see a blank white box, with the buttons at the bottom, and the music still plays.
Macs running Java 7 break the installer... and Minecraft. I'd look more into fixing the installer, but it is kinda moot point if Java 7 on Macs breaks Minecraft itself. Remove Java 7 on your mac and return to using Java 6 for the time being. (Note to others reading this: Java 7 on Windows works perfectly.)
Feel free to re-brand and customize the installer. Just remember that redistributing the mods it contains requires the express permission of their owners.
We traditionally wait until The Voxel Box has updated to release the updated VoxelModPack. But demand a 1.4.4 ModPack is exceptionally high. I will discuss releasing VoxelModPack v9.3 for 1.4.4 early with my team and few other people of importance.
It has no dependencies other than LiteLoader. Also, this is becoming off-topic. Please direct all VoxelModPack related discussion to The VoxelModPack thread. Let's keep this thread about WorldEdit CUI.
As of this point we are not yet sure whether we are interested in distributing WorldEdit CUI - LiteLoader Edition on its own. The VoxelSniperGUI snafu is a result of the original developer, Jimmynator, simply disappearing without a trace. My team had to decompile and update it ourselves without the original source code.
Our LiteLoader port of WorldEditCUI is far more popular I would have expected it to be. The new VoxelModPack update v9.2 for 1.4.2 now includes an updated LiteLoader port of WECUI for Minecraft 1.4.2. In addition, we cut out a bunch of outdated code that points to nonexistent classes. The LiteLoader port of WECUI should work just fine with forge.
