as long as they make PE modding like PC modding, i'm ok with this. If it's just mash up packs this will be a huge failure.

Kids, you really don't understand, some people spend months-even years making creations just for what? Some people to come around and download it for a couple of weeks? The reason creators want this update is to be able to dedicate their time fully, to create content like never before seen.
do you have any idea how much money you get off of adds from a mod? If your popular it pays very well. (Thaumcraft, Aether, Thermal Dynamics, ect) -

I don't see a problem. If someone creates a mod, and puts in a lot of time and effor to maintain it and update it, why is it a bad thing to allow said modder to sell his creation? It's about time modders get some actual profit from the work they're doing on this game.
The problem is that this is not going to go well, with this you will have to pay lots of money to make a modpack. This will kill minecraft. -

The stuff MJ puts out is so useless and old - as if hidden stairs haven't been done a million times already.
Besides what is the point? A shovel or pickaxe renders them useless in seconds - just like the secure door.
if you put a bunch of elder guardians near your base they can't break blocks. -

Exactlly.
Took a second look at the thread just now and it seems the mod itself was only published 4 days ago, so... Huh.
Why bother developing a mod for 1.7 in 2017?
Because developing a 1.8+ mod is a pain in the butt, and even more of a pain if you want compatibility with other mods. -

I can see this being used in factions to defend your base from attackers.

this map has WAY too many tedious collecting/completing quests.

OR, instead of wasting 4.50$ you could look it up on the wiki.

they must have felt bad about making minecraft no longer beginner friendly in 1.9. Besides, pvp servers can easily make a plugin to kick players with that option on.

It's still Mojang's creation, whether you can get sharpness in vanilla or not, that's completely irrelevant. They own the diamond sword. Whether you use mods/plugins or whatever to change it's power, it's still a diamond sword. Taking something someone else owns, changing one aspect of it, doesn't make it a new thing. Unless you created your own weapon for your server by scratch, it's their creation. Even that, I think is still against the EULA, I don't know how modded servers are affected.
sooo, CE is still ok? -

No, I hate massive servers. Minecraft is a game. They use it to make money.
have you ever tried to keep open a massive server? its expensive. - To post a comment, please login.

if your playing mc and running a server on the same machine, switching dimensions might use too much of your computer's resources. Add more ram to the server and try turning off mc and have your friend enter the dimension alone.

I'll answer this, no you can not. The bosses were never implemented, only parts of the dimension were.

If you know its AOA and you crash when you open a world try loading a world without AOA and fly around for a while to load some chunks. Then add back in AOA and load the world. It should stop whatever is causing the crash because the world will already be generated.

this is where my modpack knowledge is limited. I have had this problem a couple of times before, but i have never been able to find a solution. It is possible that you need to allocate more ram. If the modpack contains more than 150 mods I recommend at least 5 to 6 gigs allocated at all times.

probably through pain and suffering....
....or by using tape on the mouse buttons to place and remove grass.

also downloading NoMoreIDConflicts is very helpful.

Invalid id 8918 - maximum id range exceeded. you hit the max amount of item ID's. Just download a mod that adds in more item ID's
EDIT: also noticed you downloaded betweenlands. Its a great mod but is not very well optimised and could cause some problems with this amount of mods.

EDIT: Just read a previous post, do i need to be whitelisted still? If so my username is MegaMinecraft7

i always spawn in the center of a jungle, you might think that i'm lucky, but jungles are the absolute WORST starting points. It's hard to find cave systems, animal spawns are reduced, and moving around is difficult because of all the trees. Most of the time I just go into creative mode and set my spawn outside the jungle.

thats pretty neat.
