-Do you have any prior roleplay-related experience, if so could you give an example?: I’ve been roleplaying for roughly four years now, spending time on different fantasy-oriented minecraft servers as well as dabbling in D&D with my real life friends.

-Define Power-gaming in your own words: Powergaming is done by acting unrealistically or forcing one’s action over another and not allowing the other person proper time to react. This can be seen when someone continues to fight despite having lost both of their arms or "killing" someone in a single emote.

-Define Meta-gaming in your own words: Metagaming is the use of OOC information IC. An example would be when you get a message from a friend on Discord saying they're being attacked and then rushing to their aid despite having no IC knowledge of any such event taking place.

-Define Role-Playing in your own words: Roleplaying is the act of creating a unique persona or character for oneself and interacting with the world through their eyes.

    ----IC Info----
    -Character name: Io’tami

    -Character race: Ca’liar

    -Character gender: Female

    -Character age: Thirty-four

    -Character Occupation: Traveling Merchant

-Character description: Io’tami is a short, yet vibrant individual, standing roughly 4’11” in height and adorning autumn-themed robes that billow loosely about her. Her fur is a sleek, black color, and her eyes are wide and curious with gold-tinted irises. In addition to her robes, various, often twinkling, bits of metallic jewelry or other baubles dot her person, expressing both her wealth and the places she’s traveled.

-Character personality and traits: Io’tami is a sharp and often devious individual, bearing an eye for odd or exotic mercantile and what they ought to cost. She rarely accepts an offer at first chance, instead haggling for the highest price she can reasonably receive for something. This is also seen in how she interacts with others, taking a pragmatic and almost business-like approach to her relations and how they can benefit her.

-Character biography (At least three paragraphs describing your character's history and experiences):

Born sometime during the Ca’liar civil war, Io’tami’s childhood was fraught with the tension of the surrounding political climate and was often spent in traveling from place to place in search of sanctuary. To survive, her family served as merchants, trading off the weaponry they scavenged from nearby battlefields or items they were able to craft from the wilderness. It was a weak and hunger-filled existence, but it was a living nonetheless and allowed the family some form of independence.

As the years progressed and Io’tami grew into adulthood she’d choose to follow in her family’s footsteps as a merchant and expanded the business to a more permanent home in one of the nearby cities. Here she refined her skill and haggling abilities, as well as dabbled into more underhanded methods of gaining coin such as infobreaking or selling of blackmarket items. Despite the danger of her new vocation Io’tami lived a happy life, enjoying the wealth her business brought and fleeing to other settlements whenever an area became particularly hostile.

As with all good things, however, there’s a time for them to end, and unfortunately for Io’tami this was it. After years of evading law enforcement and other hostile factions she had finally run out of places to hide, and her business was beginning to falter. After weeks of deliberation on the subject, she pooled as much money she could gather together and contacted an old friend of hers which captained a smuggling ship that traveled between Einar and Saphriel. A few days later she boarded the vessel, carrying only a few scant supplies and sentimental items to remind her of her home.

The following journey was long and arduous, taking up to several months to complete and having to face through various storms and weather abnormalities. In addition to this, Io’tami’s ship was bombarded by pirates and government scouting vessels, and needed to stop for repairs at small islands along their route. Food also happened to be an issue for the crew, as many of their supplies were damaged during the aforementioned attacks. In the end, however, Io’tami would arrive safely upon Saphriel’s shores- worn, haggard, but free and eager to explore her new surroundings.

-Please give us a short RP response to these two scenarios. (At least one paragraph for each):

You’re walking around the markets at around noon. There’s a lot of people around you, still gathering their items as they prepare to shut down their many stands. Suddenly you feel a gentle lifting of your coin purse as a child graces you and soon after they take off sprinting. You have been robbed.

    - Her hand immediately darts to where her coin purse once was, an expression of alarm spreading over her features as she realizes its disappearance. Whipping her head around to seek out where the child had went she falls into quick pursuit, shoving past the surrounding crowds and bounding over barrels and crates in an attempt to reach them. After a few minutes she’s finally able to catch up and corners the would-be-thief into a small alleyway. Releasing a low growl that shows her teeth she offers her hand outwards, hoping that through intimidation she could get her money back rather than resorting to a tussle with the kid. Fortunately, it appears to have worked, and she watches as the child plops the familiar pouch back into her grasp before scampering off.

You’re heading back to the city through the woods when you hear a whining coming from nearby. Upon further investigation you come across a grey-coloured wolf that appears to have its leg caught in a bear trap. Around it is three smaller lumps of fur, obviously puppies belonging to the trapped mother. Without help, they’ll all die, but wolf skins are quite valuable too, not to mention that the nearby farms suffer quite a bit from the wolf population.

    - Io’tami looks between the mother and her pups for a few moments, before going to investigate the mother’s wounds. Realizing the trap had cut deeply into her flesh, and that survival for the mother was slim whether she got out or not, Io’tami decides it best to end the animal’s suffering as quickly and painlessly as possible and moves to slit the wolf’s throat. The pups she’d carry back to her cart, thinking perhaps of selling them off at one of the nearby villages. Knowing the worth of wolf pelts she’d also move to skin the carcass and harvest any other goods from the animal, carrying these too back to the cart before continuing on her way.
