Here's a suggestion. I'll stop correcting you, when you stop being wrong. However, I was going to leave this as it was, but then I saw your post last page claiming people were stealing your ideas.

You just want me to bring the pain, don't you? Alright. Duel 1, Heaven or Hell, Let's Rock.

but there is a reason all the big mods are using forge(except BTW, but that mod is incompatible with everyting, wich it maybe wouldnt be if it used forge).

BTW's maker actually helped develop Forge. He's just preferring his mod to stand alone rather than worry about compatability. He's mentioned he's actually waiting for the official mod API for everything to come together, so that'll be interesting when it happens

i hate forge too, thing is that i dont use optifine i have modloader mp and because that is broken(**** YOU FORGE/SPACETOAD) i hate forge! modloader mp is way better that forge because IT ****ING WORKS FELLOW MOD DEVELOPERS GET A ****ING LIFE AND STOP USING FORGE!

If it was better, they'd use it more. How's about you go actually find out what they do rather than criticising modders just because you're on the bad side of things. You're like Laserdisc being upset that people prefer VHS.

Forge does what it does, and it does it well. That's why people use it. Why do you want to cripple modders and demand they use an inferior product?

I'm on the side of those other modders people are posting about

I have a problem with ad.fly. whenever i click a link that goes through ad.fly my computer browser doesn't load the page and gives error code 403. I have asked for help with this before and people have said to 'wait for the 5 second countdown in the top right corner then click 'skip ad''. Thing is it just says 'Please wait' in the top right corner and no countdown, I once waited for 5 mins for the page to load and still no countdown. could anyone help me with this.
    Thnx.

It means something on your computer is blocking adf.ly. Probably an ad-blocker. Find an adf.ly skipper and use that to bypass the page and get straight to the download. Or disable your computer's security and risk being infected by viruses. Your choice

EXACTLY! And thats where mojang is going to get alot of backlash in my opinion is that they kind of just....split the community in half and I dont think its going to bode well at all. As weve seen in the last few hours the major console war this has started on the forums

Nuts to console wars. Buy what you think is good, don't buy what you think is bad. Back in my day we had console wars and none of this tiny little complaining we have. Sega does what Nintendon't and all that

I was going to leave it at this, but then I saw another post from thei. And, by the way, I do not like people putting numbers in their name just because they aren't the first one. People should just pick a new original name

    Quote from theiking1

However there are many many reasons that your statement isnt 100% accurate

    1) Not Everyone has a computer that is capable of running minecraft decently

In this day and age? I know Minecraft is a guzzler because Notch can't optimise to save his life, but its at least still workable

    2) Not everyone wants to sit in front of a computer for a few hours

And a TV makes this different somehow?

    3) Some people prefer controllers to a mouse and keyboard, myself included

Plug a controller into your PC. Problem solved!

    4) While we already own the game on PC, doesnt mean we dont want to live out the whole new experience a Console version will bring

    ...

Its the exact same game, except inevitably several patches behind. How is that a new experience? What is new about that? You'd get the same experience plugging a controller into your PC, projecting Minecraft onto a wall, and playing

I can tell you from experience that having a PC version and having that same game on console feels totally different
In example. Ps3 users who purchased portal 2, also received the pc version on steam as well...WITH cross platform multiplayer.
My point im getting to with Portal 2 is that I enjoy laying on the couch with my 60 inch 1080p television and relaxing in a comfortable position instead of sitting hunched over to reach a keyboard in front of my 27 inch monitor straining my eyes. (which is a major health problem for your spine and eyes)

Well, maybe you should read about ergonomics, particularly how you shouldn't be hunched over your keyboard. Seriously, bad for your back

And you do know you could, y'know, hook up your TV and your computer so it'll display on it, right? Or just go the awesome route, buy a projector, and have that sucker displayed on a wall

It all comes down to preference and its not up to anyone to dictate anyones opinions and preferences, whether they be PS3 users, 360 users or PC users.

Yes, preference. This is your point. Its not "A whole new experience", its "The same experience on a different system". Its like playing Sonic 2 on the Mega Drive and then playing it on the Gamecube or something. Its the same exact experience

Gorem were not mythological. They were invented as Jewish folk lore. A clay man with a gold heart used to protect a jewish village from ransackers (I believe this might have been as late of a story as WWII, but I forget).

You're still right that they're 'low tech', but you should prolly learn your mythology before you call the kettle black.

They're mythological. Jewish mythology is still mythology. Heck, Gremlins are generally considered mythological, and they've existed since WW2 at the earliest

According to Jewish folk lore, a Rabbi or someone else close to God could make a man out of clay, and give him a Shem, a word inscribed and placed in his chest, to bring it to life. The most famous story of the golem is the golem of Prague

Originally built to do heavy labor and the like, one day the Rabbi forgot to remove the Shem from the golem and it went on a rampage. Eventually they managed to catch it, and removed the Shem. Then they put it up on the attic of the cathedral and forbade access

The Iron golems rock. They're ancient clinking things that have probably been guarding these villages for generations

    We NEED the 1.1 version.

No you don't. You don't need it

And guess what? It isn't going to exist. 1.1 mods are useless now. Any day, 1.2 could come out, and guess what? Each and every single 1.1 mod will be useless again. So you'll have to start waiting for 1.2 to come out, wondering why they wasted time making a 1.1 update when 1.2 came out so quickly

Deal with it, or learn to mod yourself

I was just reading your op, i found this little snippit "guns/tanks/jeeps/planes/helicopters/other vehicles: they don't fit in with the theme of this mod"

While i recognize that these items would be hard to implement, okay really really hard to implement - i think you should just say that instead of making excuses.

All of those thing fit in the theme of the mod, which is: "Small minions that fight". While i don't want to have any of those items, because it would be far to hard to implement, wouldn't it be cool to have one side call artilery on the other side, you could use iron mixed with gunpower and a tinder as the artilery. That would be so epic, and so hard to implement.

The main point of this post: Don't beat around the bush, go straight through it.

Or maybe he doesn't want to add them because he doesn't want modern stuff in a mod that consists of you using souls harvested from the underworld to bring clay dolls to life to fight for your amusement?

How the heck can you even consider a mod where you can make tiny snow pegasi the type of thing to add artillery cannons to. I mean, seriously. Just think about that

He doesn't want to add them because this isn't MODERN WARFARE, BLOW EVERYTHING UP. Because they don't fit. He probably could make them, but why would he?

Some mods, Eg redpower are completely own code. They don't use any of notch's code. Forge and Modloader are the notchcode... and they are public domain

They're based on Notch's code for Notch's game. Therefore, they're derivitive of it

Texture packs, on the other hand, actually can be 100% owned by the creator. Not mods though

Neither would I but adf.ly doesn't contain any viruses. The terms and conditions for advertising say that there must be no links to malicious content. As far as I have seen there are no popups no viruses and a skip ad button after 5 seconds

Then you've been a lucky one who hasn't ended up with the surveys and viruses. Congratulations

That is little solace to the people who have ended up with those

Sure they're free. Has anyone actually charged for a mod yet? Adf.ly doesn't cost users anything but a few seconds of their time. And modders can get a little back for the hard work they have put in.

If they're free, then why not let anyone download them anywhere? Oh, wait. Adf.ly

I'm not saying every modder should be only happy with knowing people enjoy their mods, but I've been modding games for years now, and if someone asked me if I should be getting money for the stuff I'd done, I'd laugh in their face

Seriously though, I can download a completely functional Mega CD Sonic edit that functions on the actual console (A bloody damn good achievement considering its a downright ancient piece of hardware these days) and not need to worry about any sort of adf.ly nonsense, yet to download everything from "Actually impressive power system" to "Some random new blocks" I need to subject my computer to a website that will inevitably die. It never has made sense to me

    1. Any modders copyright IS valid. They can do something about it via DCMA.

Yeah, good luck with that. Its all derivative of Notch's code so legal battles over mods are not only wastes of the court's time and your own money, but ultimately pointless when you revealed you put it online for everyone to download and you're now complaining about someone using it

    2. It is disrespectful to the modders to use their mods for something they have requested you not do without their permission.

Have any modders put big "NO I DON'T WANT MY STUFF IN MOD PACKS" warnings on their page? I recommend those that have issue with it start doing so

    3. Many modders put many hours of time and effort into their mods. Adf.ly is a good way of getting something back for their hard work. Modpacks remove this. Saying we want all your mods for free in a pack even though you have said no is saying that you don't appreciate the time and hard work they have put into their mods.

Adf.ly is a virus infested hellhole of a website that will one day crumble and fall and I cannot support any modder that uses it as I feel people have the right to download Minecraft mods and not be subject to viruses. Of course, that is another issue with I have posted many a time. If the mere pittance that website offers is enough you cannot stand your work being released for free in a manner that works with other people's work and makes people happy, then you're basically making this sound like a job and not like something you're doing for fun. Might be time to step back and look and why you're modding

Yes there are modders that release everything for free. It is up to the modder themselves to decide how they want to go.

I really don't see why there is such a need for disrespect to modders.

And in most of the modding communities I've been in, not releasing your work for free would be seen as a sign of disrespect to the community as a whole. And you'll never become popular for it. Look at the most popular Quake mods, the most popular SC and WC3 maps, the most popular NWN campaigns. Notice a similarity? They're all free
