I hope so, because I can't (Okay I can) play without this!
Also, I believe this interferes with MC Patcher as well. After Patching my MC using that, I seem to be unable to switch my texture packs, the game will just crash when I do.
Haven Gaming has existed for years; Haven Gaming's Minecraft community started the day Notch released SMP server software. With over a year of experience, it might be said that we know how to do a niche Minecraft community. We've been a tight knit group of talented and focused players, aiming to be the absolute best, most immersive role-playing server around. We're really just a community, or a clan, where anyone can come and go as they please and have a marvelous time in the process.
We've had over one thousand Minecrafters join us since Haven's fruition in August of last year; yet, we've never had a server hold over fifty people at a time. Why is this? We're a niche Minecraft experience, and that's okay. We don't want to compete with the "big, freebuild" servers, as they are doing fine and we support their existence. What our Minecraft purpose provides is simple: hardcore, roleplay-based, story-driven world experience.
Do not use hacks or cheats to gain an unfair advantage.
If you notice a tree somehow does not chop down realistically, chop it down manually.
If you notice a torch does not burn out, or disappear, remove it after some time.
Do not spam redstone torches in hopes of having light; they do not prevent the spawning of monsters, anyway.
Do not overuse glowstone, and if you do, make sure it is embedded or organized neatly. It is a commodity so treat it as such!
Do not leave floating objects of any kind, unless there is a lore-defined reason as to why the object could float. E.g. all houses must be on stilts if they are to be in the air, or suspended somehow.
All paths must be two wide, always.
All building's ceilings must be three or higher--you must always be able to jump in a man-made area!
Build mostly realistically, but with a sense of fantasy and mystery! Building a magical floating building with a base of diamond and obsidian with treasures inside for the taking is more than acceptable, however...building a giant obsidian wall that is horrifically ugly with no purpose other than you dug out a bunch of obsidian is not!
Post your ideas, lore and quests on the forum!
Apprenticeship is our way of initiating member statuses. You'll first join the game as a vagrant, without the ability to do anything; e.g. building and destroying. If a high ranking member is online, he can make you his apprentice, which will then allow you to do anything a regular member can do.
However, you must stay within the 50 block radius of your mentor who is responsible for showing you the ropes and telling you how the server operates. If you leave the radius, you will be teleported back to him. If you or your mentor happens to log out during the time that you are his apprentice, your apprenticeship link will be broken, and you will become a vagrant again. If, during your time as an apprentice, your mentor saw you fit to be on your own, he will grant you your member status and you will be free to roam about Haven.
Remember, this is just the first week; there will be more to come!
Secondly, I'm assuming you're playing singleplayer, and if so it's not "lag" (Otherwise known as latency) that you're experiencing. Lag is attributed to network issues only, which would only occur if playing multiplayer. You're experiencing low FPS (Frames Per Second). Now, since you appear to be so technologically impaired I would assume you just have **** hardware which would be causing your low FPS.
From what I recall of previous Minecraft playing, it has always been fairly smooth FPS wise. I installed the recent 1.8 pre-release and usually achieve around 40-50 FPS while walking around in a heavily forested area with the maximum settings.
However, I have been having an issue with what I like the call "Stutter spikes". Essentially my FPS takes a massive drop at specific intervals.

And my specifications:

CPU- AMD Phenom II X4 910
GPU- XfX HD Radeon 5770

Any help or information regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Just use imageshack, you don't need an account and the image won't expire on the forums. Once the picture is up, right click it then click "copy image URL". After that, edit or make a new post and put the url in image tags like this: . Yay.
Well, I'm assuming you're talking about depth of field, which you can either get a mod for, or you can go without any mods and just take the picture, then go into Photoshop or some other photo editing software, and add a blur brush to anything that's supposed to be out of focus.

We'll also be getting a server upgrade by tonight or tomorrow which means more slots, less lag, and less crashing.

Great! We'd love to have you!

Are you kidding? You really don't know?
