Hey McJty I am using Beta 11 of both RFTools and Dimension builder, I craft the books but am unable to navigate using the back and forth arrows, when I click them, they just highlight.
Make sure you use beta12 of the dimension mod. But anyway, I will check this out
With RFTools Dimensions 4.20beta11 installed whene i load a world it go's back to the main menu of minecraft.
If i remove RFTools Dimensions 4.20beta11 the worlds load just fine. Log http://paste.ee/r/ZFHGo

Hmm I will check it out but it works for me though. Strange...
First a new version of RFTools 4.20beta11 for MC1.8.9:
4.20beta11:
Added forgotten recipes for the manual and smart wrench
Fixed model and textures for machine frame and block
Added API for teleportation system meant for the RFTools Dimensions addon
The screen now correctly restores OpenGL state (meaning water no longer turns dark and some chests no longer turn inside-out)
Fixed tooltips for items in the modular storage block GUI
Dimensional ore now comes in three variations: normal, nether, and end.
Dimensional Shards are now part of RFTools. If RFTools Dimensions is not present then a hard crafting recipe is enabled by default and the shard ores will spawn in the nether and the end. If RFTools Dimensions is present this does not happen unless you configure it.
By default RFTools will perform retrogen on the dimensional shard ore. This can be disabled if needed.
Renamed main.cfg -> rftools.cfg
Ported the Machine Infuser from 1.7.10
The coal generator is now infusable and if fully infused will produce twice as much power (120 RF/tick) and last 50% longer on the same coal.
The coal generator WAILA tooltip now shows how much power is generated.
The screen WAILA tooltip is less verbose and now only shows [NOT CONNECTED] and/or [NO POWER] if something is wrong.
Added the creative only shard wand to fully infuse a machine.
And then the new RFTools Dimensions addon for 1.8.9:
4.20beta11:
First version of the dimension system. Here is what works:
The basic craftable dimlets are available. No other dimlet is available
The dimension enscriber is available and works
The dimension builder is available and works
Making dimensions using the craftable dimlets works
Letting RFTools generate random features/dimensions works
Chests in the overworld should contain various dimlet parts which you will be able to use in later versions
Killing enderman has a chance of giving dimlet parts
What doesn't work:
It is not possible to get access to any non craftable dimlet. These simply don't exist yet
Random dimension generation will always generate 'stone' and 'water'. No other random materials or liquids are available right now
The dimlet houses in dimensions don't contain any loot
Comparison to 1.7.10:
Unknown dimlets are gone forever. Instead you will have to craft dimlets using the dimlet workbench (which doesn't exist yet)
any idea why i've not got a texture for the "machine base"? i tried to make a texture pack for it but don't know what it's supposed to be named i called it "machineBase" and put it in the item folder, i did wrong...
sorry i should probably mention that i'm using rftools-1.8.9-4.20beta8
This is fixed for the next released (planned for later today most likely). It is not a texture problem but a model problem. You need to give a json. But don't worry about it
How do I take out items from the modular storage block? I have items inside of a storage module tier 2, and no matter what I put it in, either the block or portable device. I can't take out items manually, I have to use a hopper to put stuff back into a chest, very disappointing :l
Is this on 1.8.9? In that case known bug and I have already fixed it. A new release will be posted in a few days
New release of my sons mod Not Enough Wands 1.2.4 for Minecraft 1.8.9. The only changes are the updates to 1.8.9 and safer handling of packets (thread safety).
Added more color options for screen modules (for example black is now possible)
It is now possible to go back and forth in all cycle buttons by pressing shift when clicking the button. That way you don't have to click the button a lot if you accidentally went past the option that you wanted. This works for color choices as well as normal choice labels (like the shape cycle button in the shape card)
Slightly decreased the horizontal dimensions of the teleportation beam so it doesn't interact with adjacent blocks
Optimized the shield generator a lot. The blocks are now stored in a more efficient format which means that it needs less memory as well as reduce the likelyhood of overflowing network packets
Work around a possible concurrent modification exception when fetching all recipes in the crafter
Fixed 1 pixel wrong offset for the crafter input slots
The crafter now has the ability to 'remember' the inventory (internal/external) slots to restrict what can go where. If you press the new 'R' button (remember) then it will make a ghost copy of all items currently in the internal and external inventories. From that point on it is not possible to put any other item at that slot. This way you can configure the crafter inventories in such a way that the crafting of one recipe will no longer overwhelm the slots for another recipe:
Hexicube contributed a patch that allows you to configure a variable (tick-cost based) cost for the Phased Field Generator
