    Y'ello, I'm looking for a writer to help write questlines on my server. I have a background of RPG games and worldbuilding myself, so I have the backbone of the lore down but I'd like someone take the reins while I slave away on the more technical/plugin side of things.


    Preferably, I'm looking for someone who also has experience with RPG games and attention to detail, as plot holes are less than desirable. Designing quests is not simply just "Kill 10 cows". I'm looking to use quests to drive the storytelling, much like Runescape does.

    Not sure why that wouldn't have worked for you with the progression because I definitely tested it before I pasted it here for you to use. As far as your last question goes: in the damaged field 0=not damaged and 1= is damaged so what she's saying is for a custom item like you're talking about you'd want to say the tool is not damaged and give it a damage value which will indicate that the model should apply to an item with the unbreakable tag. All that said, I figured out how to do what you're wanting and this time I'm leaving nothing to chance- I have a download for you. In this pack we are using the golden shovel to assign custom textures, shovels that aren't unbreaking aren't effected, and I included 2 custom images to help illustrate how you would expand this yourself in the future.


    /give @p minecraft:golden_shovel{Unbreakable:1b,Damage:1} 1 This will summon an unbreakable gold shovel that looks like a diamond axe

    Some notes: It seems that when I only specified the unbreaking model it was also applying itself to the default model so for every durability model where I want a custom item for an unbreaking variant I also needed to add a normal variant and make sure it was still pointing at the default texture. This is why you will see pairs of predicates, I had to do it. Also spawning in any unbreaking golden shovel with a damage of higher than 2 will also display the diamond sword unless/until you assign those values their own texture to use. Hope this is all you need, let me know if you need more help. It's always fun to figure out something new.

    What, exactly, are you trying to accomplish with this? It looks like you are trying to add an image for the golden shovel once it's received damage. If that's the case then a damage value of 0.5 isn't a valid number for you. You want to use a tool like this https://www.accidentalgames.com/media/durabilityModels.php to figure out what your damage values are for each durability stage and if you wanted the image to change immediately upon taking damage the .json would be something like:

    Your second file should work as expected provided it is named golden_shovel_01 and is located in assets/minecraft/models/item folder.

    If what you're doing is trying to generate a custom item item texture for a golden shovel that can only be spawned in via commands then that would be something different and the item would almost certainly have to have an unbreaking tag to preserve the texture. I haven't personally used this functionality before so if you'd like further help additional information like what resource pack you're working from and what command you're trying to summon the item with would be beneficial.



    I already tried 0.03 damaged. I only set it to 0.5 for testing purposes. Resource pack is the vanilla one. And I've tried BOTH "/give @p minecraft:golden_shovel{Unbreakable:1b,Damage:30} 1" and "/give @p minecraft:golden_shovel{Unbreakable:0b,Damage:30} 1"


    EDIT: Copying your exact code doesn't seem to work with a regular old shovel taken from the creative menu and then manually used up to 1 durability. Neither does it work with a breakable shovel spawned with: "/give @p minecraft:golden_shovel{Unbreakable:0b,Damage:31} 1"

    Yes, I get the first part. So the slightly confusing part is, despite having spawned tools with both the unbreakable NBT tag and without, the new texture does not show up. Is '"damaged": 1" the same as unbreakable, or not?

    I'm also having problems with this. I even downloaded the diamond axe testing resource pack and copied the code yet somehow, it doesn't work on my end.

    What is TwinkieCraft?
    TwinkieCraft is hopefully a unique take on the KitPvP gamemode. It's a new server, reborn from the ashes of several past attempts. We have a small community, but the staff are friendly and willing to help. I know each of the staff members personally.

    Unique KitPvP? Impossibru.
    Well, we tried. Here's a rundown of our KitPvP features:
    • Our initial release includes twenty-seven unique classes. All are equipped with their own special weapons and many have abilities that set them apart on the battlefields. Is your heart frozen and you're not quite ready to let it go? Try the Cryomancer. Or perhaps dashing about and dealing massive damage is your thing. Assassin sound good? Or perhaps your childhood dream was to be an Enderman. The Planewalker is for you.
    • No donor classes. There will never be any content in KitPvP you need to pay for. All 27 classes, the 6 planned classes for the upcoming release, or any future material will never require payment.
    • And we plan for a *lot* of classes. :D
    • The initial release includes six hand-made maps. We're currently making more, with a tentative limit of a dozen arenas.

    Something about a Survival map...
    • KitPvP can be boring without a large number of people. A near-vanilla survival world is also included in the server. It's just a 6000-block wide custom biome map, nothing too out there.
    • Depending on how popular this world is, features such as custom weapons, mobs, or even dungeons will be added.
    • As of the initial release, there is no griefing protection, except for lava, TNT, and fire protection. Again, if the survival world proves to be a success, I will cater the world to fit the players' needs.

    Features

    - Seven minigames to choose from, some with interesting and unique twists not found on any other server.
    - Classes galore! Even Non-VIPs have a choice of over 15 distinct classes spread over the minigames.
    - There are over 70 different guns, more than enough to satisfy any trigger-happy desires.
    - PvP maps based off of select COD maps. A perfect scenario for Modern Warfare.
    - TwinkieCraft includes a near-vanilla survival world, but with five additions. A small stock exchange, 8 custom dungeons, custom arrows, magical spells, and an entirely custom world.

    Minigame Overview

    - Capture The Flag: A classic minigame, made even made even better with ranged weaponry and a special VIP class: The Spy, taken right out of Team Fortress Two. (Yup, it's got the butterfly knife, a disguise, and short invisibility!)
    - Free-For-All (Madness): Based off of Madness Combat by Krinkels, Madness is no ordinary FFA minigame. Up to 20 people are packed into a 30x30 arena littered with traps, some deadly. With classes representing famous characters such as Tricky, Hank, and even The Auditor, y'll have fun playing this. Let the madness ensue!
    - Legacy PvP: TwinkieCraft has existed before in a previs theme. Back then, TDM was it's main focus, and there were over 30 classes devoted to just TDM. It's been recreated in the modern TwinkieCraft. Enjoy raining down lightning and fireballs!
    Infection: A well-known minigame. TwinkieCraft's Infection adheres to the classic Infection, so new players will easily understand how to play this.
    - Conquest (Siege): Perhaps the most complex out of all of TC's minigames. Combining elements of Battlefield's Conquest, King of the Hill, and RuneScape's Castle Wars, you've now gotten a futuristic pitched battle involving opposing teams striving to physically upgrade their own defenses while breaking down the opponent's and secure the control points. A minigame meant for more senior TC players.
    - Survival+: Called Survival+ because of the add-ons mentioned above. Build, form informal factions, or go solo. The choice is yours in this near-vanilla survival world.
    - Team Deathmatch: The simplest of TC's minigames. With just 6 non-VIP classes, new players are recommended to start with this.
    - Bomb Points (Espionage): Some may be familiar with the bomb points minigame. TC's Espionage is Bomb Points with one big twist. Opposing team are given completely different choices of classes, which greatly enhance the roles of the attackers and defenders.

    Rules
    - Really not much in way of rules. No swearing, spamming, that sort of thing. Really, just enjoy yourself.

    VIP

    - VIPs gain access to nearly double the amount of PvP classes. In addition, they earn additional money when PvPing in the Survival+ world.

    TEMPORARY SECTION: HELP WANTED
    - TwinkieCraft, though ready to be played on, is still in development. 3 Minigames are not ready to be released. One or two builders would be appreciated.
    - Testers are also needed. Testers are required to be patient and willing to follow orders from me, in order to ensure this server is fool-proof, error-free, and as user-friendly as possible.
    - All who help will be given a free VIP status when the server is fully complete.

    HUGE Classic PvP update. Trailer has also been filmed.
    New classes!
    A new "support" class, the Silencer! Capable of shutting down spells, blinding, and slowing down enemies.
    A couple of non-VIP defensive classes. The Ranger, combining the power of the crossbow, and diamond-grade armor. The Legionnaire, sacrificing some defense for more offensive capability.
    A new melee class, the Enchanter, also non-VIP. Bring to the battle the power of XP! Equipped with silver, which is even MORE enchantable than gold.
    Next, the Phantom and Shade. The Phantom is now non-VIP, while the Shade is a souped up version, for VIPs. Watch as your enemies flail around, and then come out of invisibility to finish them off.
    Then, the Sensei. A VIP class, master the art of speed and unarmed combat with speed and strength potions. Center your chi, and become invincible! (for a few seconds...)
    Finally, the Blood Mage. Capable of dishing out damage worthy of a diamond sword from 50 blocks away. However, watch your hearts. Every spell has a price...
