    I just started hosting on their gold plan. So far its really good, they have excellent customer service: each of my two tickets where answered in an hour. Its also really nice being able to set my own player slots without haveing to pay as an add-on like with mcprohosting. So I would definitely recommend them!

    Very good hosting: Stable, reliable, cheap, and 24/7 customer support. The support has been the best out of any server company I have gone with so far.

    Just wanted to update on my status with these guys: Im still with them, they have great hosting and after being with them for ~2 months I have upgraded to a redstone plan. I have opened multiple tickets and all of them have received prompt and good responses. I have not had any lag now, and I am running 24/7 without a problem. There was a fiasco with the multicraft control panel scheduled backups not working but they where very nice and then allowed me to use a bukkit plugin to backup the server. Go with these guys if you want great hosting for a great price.

    These guys have been great at hosting my server. The ticket response time is great, and when I asked for a refund on a service I canceled they immediately refunded me without any hassle. The unlimited storage space for my map has been really nice because its over 5 gigs now, so its a real perk for me. The hosting plan has been really nice (currently using coal). The only complaint that I have so far is the server lags at about 15-20 people even though it says it can go to 28. Though, I am sure this can be fixed, as I am fileing a ticket about this. Overall these guys are really great and I hope to continue working with them as long as I run a server.

    My server doesn't suck... I host it from home. Yes free proxys are slow. Anyways, DoS attacks can take down big servers but that requires a bot net or such (really a DDoS). Or yea, you can have a booter on a website that has much more bandwidth.

    I could manage plugins potentially. I also can create custom management scripts. Take a look at my profile for them or go on my server to see them in action at penumbracraft.no-ip.org

    posted a message on New Minecraft Administration Scripts!
    First today is a greeting script. It greets the players and logs their IP in a file along with their username.

    Code:
    MC="/Users/user/Desktop/ServerFolder" #Path to minecraft server folder
    LOG="$MC/server.log" #Path to log file

    while true
    do
    sleep 2
    for player in `tail -2 /Users/user/Desktop/ServerFolder/server.log | grep "logged in with" | cut -d " " -f 4 | cut -d [ -f 1`
    do
        cmd="tell $player ==================================="
        bash -c "screen -p 0 -S minecraft -X eval 'stuff \"$cmd\"\015'"
        cmd="tell $player MESSAGE GOES HERE
        bash -c "screen -p 0 -S minecraft -X eval 'stuff \"$cmd\"\015'"
        cmd="tell $player MESSAGE GOES HERE"
        bash -c "screen -p 0 -S minecraft -X eval 'stuff \"$cmd\"\015'"
        echo $player logged in!
        cmd="tell $player ==================================="
        bash -c "screen -p 0 -S minecraft -X eval 'stuff \"$cmd\"\015'"
    	    for ip in `tail -5 Users/user/Desktop/ServerFolder/server.log | grep "$player\[" | cut -d "[" -f 3 | cut -d "]" -f 1 | cut -c 2-40`
    	    do
    			    output=">|$ip|$player|IP LOG IN"
    			    echo "$output" >> $MC/iplog.txt #Assumes this is your file route and name that you want your IPs logged in.
    			    echo Completed IP

    	    done
    done
    done

    And the second today is... A keyword logging script! It detects keywords and logs the IP and username.

    Code:
    MC="/Users/user/Desktop/ServerFolder" #Path to your server folder.
    LOG="$MC/server.log" #Path to server.log
    while true
    do
    sleep 5
    STOP="no"
    for player in `tail -5 /Users/user/Desktop/ServerFolder/server.log | grep "dos\|vpn\|hack\|ddos\|proxy\|tor\|booter\|attack\|lag" | cut -d ">" -f 1 | cut -d "<" -f 2` #KEY WORDS
    do
        for ip in `tail -1000 Users/user/Desktop/ServerFolder/server.log | grep "$player\[" | cut -d "[" -f 3 | cut -d "]" -f 1 | cut -c 2-40`
    	    do
    		    if [ "$STOP" = "no" ]; then
    			    sleep 1
    			    output=">|$ip|$player|KeyWord Notification"
    			    echo "$output" >> $MC/iplog.txt #Path to your file where you want to log it.
    			    echo Completed IP
    			    STOP="yes"
    			    cmd="tell cake pie"
    			    bash -c "screen -p 0 -S minecraft -X eval 'stuff \"$cmd\"\015'"
    			    cmd="tell cake pie"
    			    bash -c "screen -p 0 -S minecraft -X eval 'stuff \"$cmd\"\015'"
    			    cmd="tell cake pie"
    			    bash -c "screen -p 0 -S minecraft -X eval 'stuff \"$cmd\"\015'"
    			    cmd="tell cake pie"
    			    bash -c "screen -p 0 -S minecraft -X eval 'stuff \"$cmd\"\015'"
    			    cmd="tell cake pie"
    			    bash -c "screen -p 0 -S minecraft -X eval 'stuff \"$cmd\"\015'"
    		    fi

    IP banning has its downsides. But again: Most hackers are skiddes. I doubt most of them know what a dynamic IP is. Sure the occasional one will switch, but I find IP banning to work well incases where a skidde has many alts.

    Replace the IP :"[INFO] Starting Minecraft server on 66.183.207.37:25565 <--This is the IP". With your local IP eg: 192.168.0.1 is what it should look like. Find your Local IP and replace it with that. OR try leaveing the IP blank! Up arrow if it helped.

    posted a message on Multiverse Not Working!

    Server Data: I have the latest version of multiverse and I have a new server running off of bukkit. I have bukkit version git-Bukkit-1.5.1-R0.1-21-g49b0699-b2754jnks.

    Plugins: Anticheat, Arena Paintball, Battle Arena, CombatLog, Commandsigns, Disguise Craft, Enjin Minecraft Plugin, Essentials, EssentialsAntiBuild, EssentialsChat, EssentialsProtect,EssentialsSpawn, Factions, Group Manager, Heads, HiddenCommandSigns, JSONAPI, Mutiverse, Permissions, ProtocallLib, RemotetoolKit Plugin, SalvageSmelter, Scheduled Announcer2, SimpleCommandSigns, SimpleSpleef, SuperEnchant, Survival Games, TagAPI, Vault, Votifier, What is it, WorldEdit, floAuction, iZone, and mcMMO plugins.

    Problem: When I go into the config.yml files for Multiverse and change the settings for a world such as the "World Wilderness" and change PvP to true, then restart the server the configs go back to their previous state. This also happens when I change animal/monster spawn settings and the difficulty. I don't know what is happening and it is somewhat annoying because I run a PvP/ Factions server. Because of this, they cant PvP. I don't know what to do can someone please help? I have tried changing the configs then restarting the server but it never works! I can also not change any of the settings in game such as difficulty, etc. Please help!!

    Thanks for takeing the time to read this. Could you please help me if possible?

    Cleaned it up for anyone who would like to help.

    K, thats out of the way. So your directing you trying to get mc.cathalcraft.com to point at your IP. Do you have to have any software downloaded on the host to make the connection? When I use no-ip I have to have their client on my server to make the redirect happen. Or maybe on your subdomain you have to do have mc.cathalcraft.com instead of just typeing mc.
