    This method corrects the blinking light source and ambient light.

    Ok, so I tried the Shaders Mod Core Beta 18 ofuc4 (which by the look of it was made for 1.6.2): ShadersModCore-v2.0.1-beta18-mc1.6.2-f859-ofuc4 is the file I found. It works, kind of: v10.2 has some wierd light bugs, but 10.1 looks to be working. And as you stated the blinking lights are gone. The only problem with this is that I have to downgrade to 1.6.2 to use it. I would like to find a solution for 1.7.10, so I'm still looking. Searching the code to see if I can find how to tweak the settings to prevent it from happening. Thanks though!

    I fixed this bug as follows: Install Shaders Mod Core Beta 18 ofuc4 for Minecraft 1.6.4.

    Thank you. Which of the bugs are you referring to? The one with the ambient light or the one with the blinking light sources? Im currently on 1.7.10 so the Shaders Mod Core Beta 18 ofuc4 probably won't help me, but I'm interested to know what bug you experienced.

    That's .... way more effort then this is worth really. IMO

    If you have a custom built gaming rig why run OSX on it?

    And from everything I've heard (don't have a Mac on hand, and frankly never want to touch a Mac after learning a bit about them) Mac drivers indeed are ... poor. And I wouldn't be surprised if that's the cause.

    Please sir. If you used less time telling me about your preoccupied assumption and more on actually giving a helpful answer, this would be a much more constructive conversation. Who has said anything about a custom built gaming rig? Or anything about Apples OS X graphic drivers? Its clear that you either don't know or don't want to answer my question so lets just leave this conversation where it is and make room for other people who have an answer. Thank you.

    must be another tardis computer them things bigger on the inside CX

    This is a regular pc build, running a boot loader enabling it to run OS X. Plenty of space for a 980 ti :)

    Apple is known to:
    1. Release really lousy graphical drivers. Probably as bad as Intel.
    2. Play merry hell with OpenGL standards. Specifically OpenGL 2/3 compatibility (vanilla runs OpenGL 2.1, high end shaders use 3.x)

    #2 is one of the main reasons why Macs are not supported. Shaderpack authors can't really get around the fact Apple broke their own platform to begin with.

    Yes, this I know.
    My questions was more related to the shader then to the platform. I know its not supported, but I was wondering if anyone with knowledge about the shader could point me in the right direction of where to find the code that controls the specific effects I'm having problems with.

    Hi!

    I am experimenting with SEUS on a mac (actually a hackintosh with a GTX 980 TI) and have been able to get it to work by inserting the following line in composite.fsh and final.fsh: #extension GL_ARB_shader_texture_lod : enable

    I really like the lighting in SEUS 10.2, but I am experiencing two problems. Both problems are documented in the video linked below and is as following:

    1. 10.2 seems to have a very nice effect for ambient lighting. But in my case the ambient light is made up of a lot of dots, and got artifacts. Does anyone know what causes this or in what file/line of code I can find the effect to experiment with?

    2. All light sources are creating circles of very bright colorful light. There seems to be something wrong with my OS X driver for NVIDIA thats not interpreting the light algorithm correctly. Does anyone know of a fix for this (maybe turn down the intensity) or in what file/line of code I can find the effect to experiment with?

    Video of the two bugs experienced:

    Any help will be very much appreciated!

    Can you add the torch glow while holding it? Like in SUES latest shaders.

    You can get this by installing this mod: http://www.atomicstryker.net/dynamiclights.php
    Then it doesn't matter what shader you use. (updated for 1.7.10)

    Hi Chocapic.

    The new version works flawlessly on mac!! Thank you!
    Im working on some personal tweaks no to see how it looks. There are so many improvements to this over the last version that worked, its amazing.

    So far my only comments are that fire and lava has a very red tint to it (see pic), and the water is too blue (see pic). The water doesn't look realistic compared to the rest of the shader.
    Also two bugs:
    1. I can confirm that the water reflects the new sky, even under ground.
    2. Since the v4.4 update the resourcepack I use, shows a "halo" around particles. This didn't occur in the previous versions. I know this is related to the use of a resourcepack, but do you know what makes it? And why it appears now, and not in the earlier versions? (see pick)

    Thank you so much for your great work!!

    You can turn off the cloud shadows in options -> shaders -> CloudShadow:OFF

    Welcome back Uniblue!
    Great to see you once again working on this amazing resourcepack.
    I hope you haven't abandoned the Default Realism pack (128x ;)) since this has been my favorite resourcepack the last year or so.
    Most of it is completed, but there are some new blocks in the new updates that could really need the R3D.Craft touch ;)

    Keep it up

    Hey there chocapic, is there any possibility you, or anyone for that matter, could point me in the right direction as to how to disable waving elements? They give me motion sickness and cause my sinuses to go haywire.

    Been poking around the files but in all honesty I don't really understand much of the code.

    edit: It should be noted disabling trees/grass/etc is pretty straight foward however disabling waves essentially disables all effects on water and leaves you with something that drastically stands out.

    Hi HellishINC.
    I completely follow you on the waving part. I don't get motion sickness but I think all shaders that have the waving implemented, makes it wave way to much. So in my case I tone it down, but it is easy to turn it completely off as well:

    Since you say you have been poking around in the files I take it that you have found yourself a program that can edit these files. Win: Notepad or Note++, Mac: TextEdit or TextWrangler.

    1. Open up gbuffers_terrain.vsh
    2. In line 12-19, you will find:
    #define WAVING_LEAVES
    //#define WAVING_VINES
    #define WAVING_GRASS
    #define WAVING_WHEAT
    #define WAVING_FLOWERS
    #define WAVING_FIRE
    #define WAVING_LAVA
    #define WAVING_LILYPAD

    3. This means that the shader is waving everything EXCEPT vines (because of the //).
    4. So to turn of any of the other entities that are waving just add // in front of the line.
    5. Save
    6. Enjoy motion sickness-free minecraft gaming with amazing detalis.
    7. Share the love

    BTW: Is it correct that DOF is not working properly in v4.4. It was turned off by default, and when i tried activating it and using HEXANGONAL_BOKEH (final.fsh), everything that should have been blured out was black, and the focused part was normal. Is it wip?

    Hey Chocapic. Your 4.4 version had a lot of improvements, and I also got better FPS of it.
    I made a video of some bugs I encountered, testing the new version, Some bugs are old, and some are new. The version im using is a bit modified. I have removed const instances, and also done some work with the water color, as well as the brightness of the sun and contrasts. But it shouldn't affect these bugs.
    So heres the youtube video. Just let me know if you want me to elaborate some more.
