Not sure if this is new in SEUS, and shaders in general, but items can have normal maps in v11 apparently. (Check Picture) EDIT: They can also have specular maps. (Not shown in picture)

MaxCraft548 posted a message on (Shaders) Reflective Glass

In short, this pack adds Reflective Glass. It requires a Shader Pack with Specular Mapping (Like SEUS) in order for the effect to work.

Before Using Get The Shaders Mod Here

    Pros:

    Reflects light sources and blocks.

    Looks nice

    Cons:

    May decrease framerate

Requires a Shader Pack with Specular Mapping

At a distance you cant see through glass

    Doesn't reflect player

    Doesnt currently have Stained Glass

    Not compatible with Optifine Glass

    Trouble Shooting:

Q: I cant see the reflections even with a Shader Pack.

A: Make sure "SpecularMap" is ON in the shader settings.

Q: The reflections move when i move.

A: That happens with Shaders. Its the same with water. Its just the way it renders reflections based on player position.

I have a suggestion: A way to edit viewmodel arms. Stuff like a way to disable/edit the way that held items (Including hands) move to the side when you look around, viewmodel FOV (How much of the arm/item you want to see), and other things along that line. I know its not really a FPS improving thing, but it would still be nice.

I'm currently having a issue with entitys rendering in a weird way (previously described as "Pixelated"), but only in specific angles, Items, Players, Armor and most Mobs are affected. Rain is not visible without the fix, Rain passes blocks without the fix. I suspect this might be a AMD problem. Completely reinstalling Minecraft did not work.

I think this is a common problem. I dont remember if anyone found a fix.

If I might ask, what exactly is 'DOF'? I've seen it mentioned before, with SEUS.

DOF stands for Depth Of Field. It is the blur you see on objects that you are not focused on. Thats not a very good description, so heres the Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depth_of_field

Given that this is a shaderpack, has anyone confirmed that this will work with Minecraft 1.9 and the merging of the GLSL Shaders Mod with Optifine?

Yep, this works fine with 1.9 + Optifine.

Would it be possible to have an option to enable it by block? I think as it is now we can enable better grass and snow separately, and I only use the snow option.

I asked that, Sp614x said "Resource packs will probably get a "bettergrass.properties" to control how Better Grass is used."

    IStealYourRAM posted a message on [1.19.1 | 64x] Steven's Traditional - A traditional experience.

⮞ 1.19 UPDATE HAS BEEN RELEASED!
    TL;DR CHANGELOG: [1.19 INFOPAGE]
    TL;DR DOWNLOADS: [ CURSEFORGE THREAD]

Steven's Traditional is a 64x64 resource pack which aims to stay relatively close
to Mojang's look and feel of the Default resource pack present in Minecraft while
adding a personal touch to most textures to still give a unique experience without
drastically changing every block or item.

In simple words this resource pack tries to look similar to Default, but instead of 16x16 pixels
this resource pack works with a 64x64 canvas, which means 4 times the size, allowing us to add
    atleast 4 times the detail!
If you ever used the Faithful texture pack made by Vattic it's pretty similar to his pack,
except instead of 32x32 pixels it's 64x64 pixels.

Not deriving too far from the colors and textures also allows the Player to easily adapt
to this resource pack without the hassle of builds suddenly looking weird because they
were originally built with the Default textures or look in mind.

So if you are still looking for a Default like resource pack,
except in a higher resolution then go and give this one a try!

I hope you will enjoy it! :)

Want to easily stay up-to-date about this resource pack and be notified when a new update
releases or when there are any important announcements?

Found a bug and want to report it or just want to give some feedback?

Or want to send some images of your building projects using the resource pack?

If your answer was yes to any of these questions then feel free to
join the official Steven's Traditional Discord Server!
You can easily join the Discord by clicking on the Button below!

If you want to support me for the work I'm putting into this project you can easily
do so below by clicking the PayPal button to be redirected to my PayPal.me page!

    Worry not if donating is not a possible option right now;
Even some nice feedback, constructive criticism, a comment or
even just sharing the resource pack with your friends (or strangers)
will already absolutely help me out! :)

Thank you all for your support and helpful comments over the years!
    Onto many more!

Note: Removing the block that you spawned on, and not placing a block back (So if there is no block on your spawn point) then dieing may spawn you elsewhere as it is too small to pick a spawn close by. So it will spawn you on the mainland, and it will be impossible to get back. Be careful! (This problem is fixed for the versions that are above this spoiler.)

Instructions on how to install the map and if you are having trouble downloading the map:

Place what version you downloaded in the saves folder, to reach your saves folder follow the instructions below.

"How do I keep my water from re-freezing?"
This is a very simple fix. To stop your water from re-freezing, as this is in a Tundra (snow) biome, simply place a block above your water source, or a torch next to the source. There are alternative downloads for the level.dat file, but this will eliminate a challenge and therefore you can't complete them all.

    Alternative level.dat downloads

"How do I light a Nether portal without Flint & Steel?"
This is very simple to do, but it may take a few tries. The basic idea is to get your lava to light a piece of wood or something else flammable, and have the fire spread through the portal frame so it ignites, therefore activating it.
    Step-by-step guide by iiTzWho

How to light the portal without Flint & Steel

It is actually really easy, if the wood burns out before it lights, try again

The rest will be in spoilers, each step in a separate spoiler

    First Step
First, set up the portal (I wasn't in SkyBlock for this, therefor had 14 obsidian not 10)

    Second
Set up the wood, and a little barrier so the lava doesn't go everywhere

    Third
Place the lava down, let it catch fire to one of the planks, then grab it back up

    Fourth
    Both planks should be burning..

    Fifth
The portal should be lit, if not - try again

Hope this helped somehow, good-luck with SkyBlock :)

TL;DR - Set up portal, put wood at base and back of portal, light wood at base, let it spread to back, BAM portal lit.

"How do I get gold ingots?"

Go to the Nether (with guide above) and make a platform there for zombie pigmen to spawn on. Kill them for gold nuggets. Once you have 9 gold nuggets, place them in a crafting table in a 3x3 fashion, which creates one gold ingot.

Has been moved to google drive!

Even though Ovocean basically gave permission for people to use his textures for people to use to continue on their own flavor, it cannot be said the same for those who have contributed to Redemption. You MUST ask permission within this thread or you will be reported! Do not PM us for permission as it will be ignored or you will be told to post your request in this thread.
This community thread and texture pack are maintained by LoardVader, and Pythros.

Texture submissions are always wanted! New textures of missing stuff and re-textures of existing stuff, all submissions will be considered for inclusion (especially any missing textures).

Missing Textures list has been moved to google drive

Here's Ovo's pack style in his words:

The best description I can make of the style I was going for is by showing what's already done. But in a wordier manner, I would say It's inspired by nature, hand-made stuff and fantasy; relatively simple and round shapes with a few details; colorful yet not too saturated ; no flat color plastic looking stuff/always have a bit of natural grain.

Looking for Pocket Edition? JacquesRemy has converted this pack over for us! Their thread is over here!

500_Internal_Server_Error posted a message on BlockLauncher: an Android app that patches Minecraft PE without reinstall
BlockLauncher: a custom Minecraft PE launcher for Android

    formerly known as MCPELauncher.

BlockLauncher is a custom Minecraft PE launcher that wraps around Minecraft PE and provides loading of patches, and (in the Pro version) texture packs, and server IPs.

Just choose Options on the main screen, then select mods. It is that easy!

This program loads libminecraftpe.so from the currently installed copy of Minecraft PE, so it should be compatible with the mod patching features of PocketTool and QuickPatch.

    Known issues:
    - Jelly Bean users cannot use original textures - they will get the standard demo texture pack
    - You can't use the hidden Camera item

    Download free: http://zhuowei.github.com/MCPELauncher/MCPELauncherApp-release-beta.apk

For testing, please use an official unmodded copy of Minecraft PE.

Any ideas on how I can make this better than the official launcher?

    chocapic13 posted a message on [1.14] Chocapic13's Shaders

The shaderpack has moved to CurseForge !

Also check out my High Performance shaders !

    Old Post :

This shaderpack aims for a high quality/performance ratio on a wide range of hardware.

Unlike other lightweight shaderpacks, this one tries to maintain a decent quality level even at the lowest possible preset; while the highest presets are able to run at around 60 fps on a mid range gpu like the RX 580 or the GTX 1060.

Performance that you could expect at 1080p 12 render distance (default minecraft world) on a RX 480 or similar:

    Extreme : 55-70 fps, Ultra : 70-90 fps, High : 100-120fps, Medium : 140-170 fps, Low : 160-220 fps, Lite : 200-250 fps, Toaster Edition : 300+ (CPU limited on a Ryzen 7 2700X)

Performance that you could expect at 1080p 8 render distance (default minecraft world) on an Intel HD 630 or similar:

    Toaster Edition : 65-80 fps, Lite : 50-60 fps, Low : 35-40 fps, Medium : 25-30 fps

    Downloads :

By downloading, you accept the rules of modification and sharing.

    Modification and sharing:

You may find these a bit annoying, but I tried to make my shaderpack editable and redistributable by everyone when most content creators of minecraft just block modification and redistribution.

-I have to be clearly credited
-You cannot use any version older than "Chocapic13' Shaders V4" as a base, however you can modify older versions for personal use
-Common sense : if you want a feature from another shaderpack or want to use a piece of code found on the web, make sure the code is open source. In doubt ask the creator.
-Common sense #2 : share your modification only if you think it adds something really useful to the shaderpack(not only 2-3 constants changed)

-There has to be a link to the shaderpack's official thread

If you are not sure about what you are allowed to do or not, PM Chocapic13 on http://www.minecraftforum.net/

_zombiehunter posted a message on [1.15.1] The "BETTER THAN DEFAULT" resource upgrade - v2.6
The "Better than Default" resource upgrade

    >>>> Download <<<<
    Mediafire
    Updated: 19.12.2019, Size: 6.34 MB

    Older versions:

    v2.5: Download (for Minecraft 1.14.x)
    v2.4: Download (for Minecraft 1.13.x)
    v2.3: Download (for Minecraft 1.12.x)
    v2.2: Download (for Minecraft 1.11.x)
    v2.1: Download (for Minecraft 1.10.x)
    v2.0: Download (for Minecraft 1.9.x)
    v1.9: Download (for Minecraft 1.9)
    v1.8: Download (for Minecraft 1.8.x)
    v1.7: Download (for Minecraft 1.7.x)
    v1.6: Download (for Minecraft 1.6.x)
    v1.5: Download (for Minecraft 1.5.x)
v1.4: Download (for pre-1.5 Minecraft versions)

    What is that?
This resource upgrade for the default resource pack of Minecraft aims to improve the appearance of the game without the use of mods, while staying faithful to the general style of Minecraft. All features included in this resource pack work with vanilla Minecraft.

What are the main features of this pack?
It adds a bunch of improved textures (water, lava and fire animations, several blocks and items, GUI elements, the sun, moon, paintings, armor, ...), some of them with increased resolution. It also adds a better readable HD in-game font, makes the dull biome colors a bit better to look at, tweaks several mobs and other entities, adds random terrain textures for more variety and proper 3D block and item models for some blocks and entities. Furthermore, it replaces the most annoying in-game sounds with improved or new ones. For a more detailed list of features, see below.

How do I install the pack?
Simply copy the whole "Better than Default" zip-file to the resource packs folder of Minecraft, un-zipping the file is not necessary. Then start the game, open Options / Resource Packs, select "Better than Default", click "Done" and enjoy!

What about other texture features like connected textures?
Older versions of this pack (pre-1.9) supported a bunch of additional texture features like connected textures, custom colors, random mobs, better glass rendering and a custom HD skybox, which only work when using mods like MCPatcher or Optifine. Due to the (slowly) increasing amount of resource pack functionality in vanilla Minecraft as well as uncertainty about future updates for the required mods, those features are no longer kept in the pack and won't receive updates anymore.

I really like this. How can I support you ?

    1. By reporting issues you found in the pack on this forum thread

    2. By telling all your friends to use this

    3. By adding the following banner code to your signature:

    <a href="&amp;quot;http:/www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1277335-&amp;amp;quot;"><img src="http://i.imgur.com/CU0Yp.png" alt=""></a>
