I don't really agree with only listing maps that have multiple reviews. The ones with multiple reviews are generally already popular, if we only list those ones it will be harder for newer/less popular maps to be noticed.

    CUBIC HORRORS
A CTM map series inspired by Vechs' Super Hostile series

I have recently decided that I would like to create CTM maps. I have one that is complete. This map is an underground/hell themed CTM map, and it is intended to be ROM-Hack hard. The map is called: "The Fire Beneath". And please remember that this map is designed with many devilish moves on my part, only play it if you are an experienced CTM player.
If you are not an experienced CTM player, I would suggest checking out Vechs' thread:
    http://www.minecraft...hostile-series/
Or the CTM Community thread, where you can find other CTM maps:
    http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/maps/maps-discussion/1564860-ctm-the-ultimate-ctm-community-thread

    Difficulty Ratings:
:|: Cakewalk: Almost too easy. A little more challenging than regular survival, and good for new CTM players.
:WSWORD: Easy: A step up from cakewalk, and still bearable for new players. Loot is plentiful while mobs aren't overwhelming.
:SSWORD: Medium: Average difficulty. A fair balance between mobs and loot, while still being challenging.
:ISWORD: Hard: On the verge of unfair. Expect devious traps and tough situations. Only play if you are experienced in CTM.
:GSWORD: Cruel: The equivalent of ROM-Hack Hard. Almost impossible, only the best of the best can complete it.
:DSWORD: Impossible: Do you even dare to try?

:VV: Map #01: The Fire Beneath :VV:
    Style: Linear Branching
    Breif Description:
Finding yourself at the gates of hell, you must explore a hellish series of caverns in a desparate attempt to find the wool and metal blocks. Will you beat the odds and conquer these ghastly caverns? Or will you burn in an endless fire?
    Difficulty: :GSWORD: Cruel

Yeah, that works. I think it was because the first time, it was on Dropbox (and probably not made public/shared), and the second time you hosted it on Imgur. Anyway, picture looks very... threatening? I'd be careful using bedrock as a building block, though; it's a pretty ugly block to use as the base color of an area.

"Ugly base block," you say to the guy who made an entire map out of netherrack. I don't generally put aesthetics first when making my maps. The entire map is centered around bedrock; exploring mines made by an ancient civilization that found a way to break through it. Makes for interesting gameplay mechanics (limited tunneling and manipulation of environment) but can actually make for intriguing aesthetics with the right block combinations. The picture I posted was particularly devoid of colour, but other areas have more contrast. But don't expect my map to look like it was made by heliceo or 3_2, aesthetics aren't really my forté.

Whoaaaaaaa. Been a long time since I saw you. Hey, remember that area you made for that collaborative CTM map nearly 2 years ago? Y'know, the "sequel to another collaborative CTM" map? Yeah, Titan's Revolt still hasn't been released. But that doesn't mean you should take back your area and use it in your own map, please don't do that like *cough cough* certain other people did.

Oh and that picture is broken. Plz fix, I want to see what it looks like :D

it's broken? works fine for me. Does this work?

    People...still...do...stuff?

    Since when?

Since when do old ctm vets that haven't touched the community for years come back with a new map in progress, with inspiration coming from nowhere?

    wot? why?

And they even bother to update their map for 1.8, the update that all the mapmakers are complaining about for balancing? (link in sig)(edit: sig broken by forum changes appurently. Link here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/maps/1514883-ctm-cubic-horrors)

    wot

    since when

    wot

And to top it all off, they have pictures of their upcoming map:

When I rejoined this server for it's fifth iteration, I was hoping that drama wouldn't arise, and that if it did, people wouldn't quit left and right. I guess it's too much to ask. All of this drama is complete nonsense, you guys need to calm down a bit.

Saying that the Fire Beneath has too much netherrack is like saying that Vechs' Spellbound Caves has too much stone.

You might have wanted to mention that this wasn't made by Vechs; it is from a different map series. You can find the link in my signature.

With all this talk about TFB, I just want to let you guys know that Cubic Horrors #02 will make you hate your life and you will need a new keyboard not long after you begin the map, no matter how hard you found TFB.
