    Quote from PineappleFury»

You see, the problem with this poll here is that those who see this poll are those who regularly go onto the Minecraft forum, and almost all those people are the ones who love Minecraft still, even though (despite what they might say) it is in slow decline. Those left are mainly the ones who will love good ol' Minecraft forever. The people who really do think Minecraft went bad at some point don't attend this forum anymore

Good point. I'll have to consider that when I tell everyone about the results of my poll.

What still needs to be done for the lighting engine? I also head that Cuchaz fixed the lighting and I know that this is a fork off of the Tall Worlds Mod, so are you tweaking that engine or is this a whole new section of code?

Like I said, I don't think minecraft went bad. Sure, I was a little miffed when 1.9 was rolling out, but not for the reasons you think. I was bummed out when Dinnerbone shelved the quiver and when the recipe for the notch apple was removed, but those changes didn't really matter and there was tons of other stuff to play with.

posted a message on Why Did They Change Magenta Terracotta?
    Quote from Chameleonred5»

Possibly due to what's described here? https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-113844

Arrows pointing outwards is the Hungarian Nazi Symbol, as far as I can tell.

That didn't say anything about the magenta terra-cotta though.

posted a message on When Did Minecraft Go Bad?

While on the minecraft forums, I recently stumbled on a poll about the terracotta blocks and I was surprised. 3/4 of the people LIKED the terracotta blocks and only around 9% hate them. Then I thought "If far fewer people hate the terracotta blocks, then maybe there aren't so many people saying "MineCRaft IS dIEIIIng!""

Tell us why you do or don't hate that version so we can know the truth..

posted a message on Why Did They Change Magenta Terracotta?

Why did they change the texture for the magenta terra-cotta? It looked cool with the interlocking arrows, but now it's just one separate arrow per side. I understand whY they changed the textures for the other blocks. They could all make nazi symbols. But I have yet to find an offensive way to arrange the old magenta terra-cotta.

    Quote from Ihatehubs9»

well this isn't a story about me getting banded but my friend getting banded from 2 servers (both temporally). The first one was when a hacker was using donate privileges but the owner thought that my friend was using the hacks and banded him. I eventually convinced the owner that he wasn't the hacker and he banded the actuall hacker. the other one is really stupid. The same friend was banded for doing nothing he wasn't told what he was doing and he was just afk. the owner just started to say "stop" to him when he was doing nothing. I couldn't talk this guy out of unbaning him this time

    It's banned, not banded.

posted a message on What are some stupid ban/kick/jail reasons you have seen or experienced?

I forgot to mention that I can't appeal my ban because according to the server staff, there are no exceptions to advertizing. So it's impossible for me to end an unfair ban early unless I use dark magic.

    Evidence:

MatthewTNT79. Me and alternate members of the team have already reviewed your appeal several times. The result of the previous occasions were denied because you need to wait for your ban to expire which was for advertisement, additionally your evidence suggesting it was a joke still doesn't alieve your punishment as you still advertised regardless . Sadly your forum account needs to be punished for registering multiple appeals.
Wait for your ban to expire on April the 28th and appeal once more for you to be unbanned!
If you appeal again your forum account will receive further punishment!
Despite this have a nice day/night!
    Kind Regards:

Are there any exceptions regarding advertising?

    I'm afraid not.

posted a message on Lava Commands

I'm trying to look for some commands. It was a slow day on my map, and I just wanted something to pass the time. And I was like maybe I could do something with lava and it stuck. What I want to do is make an infine wave of lava and see how long I could survive; I'm a command noob though, and I really needed help, so if anyone's willing to make a command like this:

Any lava that isn't a source block becomes a source block

Doors and glass break if they touch it

I wanted to experiment with lava and fire, so I haughty of having an infinite lava command. But I don't know many commands.

I want a command that replaces any lava that isn't a source block with lava source block.

I kind of like the idea of nether biomes, not not wood trees in the nether. Maybe you could mix regular wood with something to make magma wood.

What about the world size? The addition of so many blocks underground must make the files huge.
