I apologize if this has been asked many times before but is the mod not compatible with 1.2.4? I've followed the instructions word by word but I am unable to get this working.
Thanks! But it's not a mod. Nothing at all you see here is ingame, sadly :\
Who needs mods anyway. Its never as fun unless everyone in every SMP server has the boat mod included.
Great thread, I've been wanting big "age-of-sail" boats for a long time now. Hopefully something like this shows up in a super awesome pirate adventure update in the summer. :laugh.gif:

Pretty much sums up my thoughts on this entire drama, if Notch didn't want swearing why would he invite them.
He expected better of them. Sadly he seem to forgot that the majority of these guys are just internet users, not businessmen or game developers or any other group where you would think they would show maturity in public.
Same here bro. And I didn't start watchin yogscast until a few months ago. while they are funny guys, they do seem like the kind of guys that would be total assholes.
I started from Seananners and David64. Was a fun way of introducing you to the game. The Yogcast guys are funny but the mission videos could never get me to buy that game. I guess its the humor and teamwork part the helped them to get others to buy the game rather than showing the gameplay features of the game itself.
How? All we have is his view on what happened, for all we know he could have taken some offhanded jokes very personally. And yes he should have spoken to them in person if he had a problem, rather than go behind their backs and ***** about them on twitter (while accusing them of talking behind people's backs?) Notch isn't looking very mature or reasonable at the moment.
Thats why I said "at the moment." I'm still waiting for the yogcast view of the whole story.
And Notch was probably just fuming through twitter. I'm sure you would feel the same in his position if the Yog guys were truly acting egotistic at the Minecon. I'm still wondering if they actually autographed F- you.
Or he could have kept it private. Twitter is public, anyone can go and see what you say on it. So Notch has publicly called the people behind the Yogscast demanding, insulting, gossipy, uncooperative, egotistical dicks while the heads of the group are completely unable to give their side of the story. And he's the mature one?
If Notch was going to insult them publicly then would have said it to them right there at the minecon. Least he had the sense to keep the inappropriate stuff held on his personal online twitter account where he has the freedom to speak his mind.
Was it immature to let his fanbase know how he felt about them? I don't know but if there are levels of maturity then he is at least a whole nother level higher then the yog crew at the moment.
He knows to be mature and respectful in public while bitching about them on twitter and calling them dicks while they're on their way home and unable to respond to his claims?
I guess he should have waited for them to get back home first. Maybe they should have arranged some sort of internet fight match next week so both would be ready.
I guess twitter and youtube somehow count as "private" now? Because Notch has been far more vulgar than Simon or Lewis on them.
Way to loosely interpret my post. You know what I mean by public and private in the world that exist outside your house(well actually your house is private too). The internet is truly a private place because you read others words rather than hearing their words. You can freely choose to not enter a bad site but when you go to a public place with your kids the f-bomb isn't something you want to hear. I really do wonder what the Yogcast was thinking saying the F word 20 times at a convention that is likely filled with young kids. Its like they forgot they were in the public and not on the internet. It may be the parents fault but half the blame should go to them as well.
Notch got it right. Open mind on the internet, maturity in the public.
PROTECT THE CHILDREN, OH GOD THE HUMANITY. I knew plenty of swear words by grade 2-3, as I'm sure most people do. It's impossible to protect your children from these words (nor should you). As long as you teach your children to respect others, these words are fine.
You know its people like you and your acceptance of young kids using swear words that has left us in a slowly degrading society. You don't even bother trying to fight and protect these kids from adult rated stuff. Its like the parents just given up. Whats funny is the last sentence in the quote is where the Yog guys messed up.
I'm proud of Notch for attempting to take a stand against the Yog guys. Hes knows to be respectful and mature in public. If you want to swear then do it with your friends or others in a private place.

Potions, enchantment, the end is too "non-minecraft" in my opinion but they added those anyway.
These cool ships would be great for adventuring in survival mode. :biggrin.gif:
