Jan 29, 2014Mathy posted a message on Spheres in Vanilla? This is a very interesting feature. If I recall correctly, there was a way to make minecarts invisible as well. If that is true, it might be possible to have a sphere with an opening without the obvious mass of minecarts.Posted in: News
Will be interested to see if this is used in other maps, perhaps by the creator of the Code. The final destruction sphere shown in this video showed obvious similarity to Code III's ending, -

Octopus, from the greek "octo" and "pod", meaning "eight" and "feet, respectively, was a latinized Greek word. In being an English word, "octopuses" was made the 'correct' plural. However, due to its seemingly Latin spelling, scholars changed its plural to "octopi", with rational similar to the pluralization of "alumnus" which would be "alumni".
That was completely wrong.
Octopus is a latinized Greek word, and therefore should be pluralized in the Greek form, akin to the "alumnus" pluralized in a Latin manner. Hence, following Greek pluralization rules, the plural of "octopus" should be "octopodes", which is pronounced "ahk tah poh dees". However, "octopuses" is valid, because it has been adopted into English, where the pluralization is sometimes modified for consistency.

As it states in the article, it isn't likely. It is possible, but really I don't have a great estimation. Just as nobody expected some of the products Apple came out with, like 1984 Mac, this could be a huge surprise, or a huge dud. We will have to see.

There's no law against downloading or uploading things, and piracy laws are not enforced. Irrelevent, anyway, because uploading won't get you in trouble, unless that is copyrighted material.

It is possible, however, that quantum algorithms will be developed for gaming, in some way, and thereby increase speed.
