The "about me" page which is used on the current IPB Minecraft Forums worked very well, but it had some downfalls. Changes to the "About Me" page I propose:
"Edit" button on the about me message, rather than within the "Edit My Profile" section. This allows it to be found more easily, as currently it is rather confusing as to how to edit the profile.
Simple "Report Member" utility on member's About Me page
As the "About Me" page can be rather large, add another gray dividing line separating the "About Me" text from the rest of the biography.
These functions would greatly improve the utility of the forums. I've included an image showing the current biography.
How active are you: 1 hour or more per weekday, 2-3 hours on weekends. Will be able to notify if there is an issue where I cannot meet the above.
Why do you want this position: I feel I can bring my talents to this server. I enjoy helping servers and working with a team to bring a world to life. When building, I always think about the image in my head, and let that idea flow. I’d love to bring this knowledge to the server.
Why do you want to help us: As stated before, I enjoy working with a team. Building is one of the cores of any world, and without building a world is lifeless. To help this server grow, I’d like to help.
Your past experience with other servers: I’ve been a builder on a few other servers, including one prison server (Hell’s Haven Prison). I can provide proof in images on Skype or some other form of communication.
Your knowledge of Bukkit plugins: I know WorldEdit and Essentials fluently and some amount of WorldGuard. I have knowledge of other misc. plugins as well, if there are any specific ones to learn then I would be willing to research the said plugin.
Building style or terraforming style: Predominantly medieval. I also can do fantasy styles, but it’s not my strong suit. I know some basic medieval patterns I’ve created on multiple builds, which help my experience with that type greatly.
Currently, the MC forums are using IP Board. IPB worked very well for a while, but because of the closed system, it's hard to modify the software so bugs are fixed and new features added. Curse is working on a new forum software which should allow for more changes to occur and bugs be fixed.
In the meantime, it would help to state what about that forum you enjoyed. What elements of the design/features would you like to see included in the Minecraft Forums?
I prefer window seats near the wing, personally I enjoy watching the flap movement during takeoff and landing, and then I can relax against the wall for the rest of the flight.
I also rarely use the restroom normally (~3 times a day) and am small enough that legroom isn't as much of an issue. Economy seats have almost no legroom for anyone though.
Yes, these are annoying, but somewhat funny to see on a forum about Minecraft. As Akynth said, if you see them, report them.
I reported literally 30-40 of these that had appeared all at once few days ago. It took half an hour of just reporting nearly identical posts. They are more odd than "watch sports free! free movies!" ones (which I also report), but I've never seen the kitchen cabinet spam.
Often isn't needed to report too many of them, just saying "this topic was spammed over this subforum" can save some time.
3 years ago, when I still played minecraft, I had a dream. I envisioned a skybound fortress of doom, laying waste to all my enemies. Hoping it to be true, I made this thread and began my fruitless labor.
Many came, and many had great ideas. Others repeated ideas. And a few argued about what counted as ideas. Though I stopped playing, I often caught wind of this thread's apparent immortality. The dream of flight lived on, and spawned a variety of incredible contraptions.

This is a very interesting feature. If I recall correctly, there was a way to make minecarts invisible as well. If that is true, it might be possible to have a sphere with an opening without the obvious mass of minecarts.
Will be interested to see if this is used in other maps, perhaps by the creator of the Code. The final destruction sphere shown in this video showed obvious similarity to Code III's ending,
