He hasn't worked on the game in ages because he hired more dedicated people to do it, and people kept ragging on him even though he wasn't programming the game anymore, now he's officially out of the line of fire.
It's not like he implemented ads in minecraft or started whoring it out to other franchises, all he did was just sell his company to more responsible people.
But I guess that command is a lot more complicated than it needs to be, I've got everything working the way I want it to now, the music begins to play when the morning comes.
As for distance: the wording of the command syntax is a bit misleading. "Volume" in this case means the number of blocks outward that the sound can be heard. The value is multiplied by 16, so if you define the volume as 1, it will be heard up to 16 blocks away.

Well none the less after a few minutes fiddling with it, I still can't get it working, I'm guessing that playing music using a command block is completely impossible for now

I tried to build a new one for the skin I'm wearing but I can't get the "hat" parts to fit together
Is there something out there to help with this? Like it scans your skin and gives you a template of how you should build it?
